I am not sure, but the following registry keys may solve your problem if you are running wm6.5.3 or wm6.5.x. Here it is:
Disable bubble tiles in menubar softkeys of wm6.5.x
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"Enabled"=dword:00000000
Note: Default is 1 so as to enable the bubble tiles in menubar, which is what you are missing.
In case you are interested, here is something else:
Enable text instead of icons in menubar softkeys of wm6.5.x
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"TextModeEnabled"=dword:00000001
Note: Default is 0 so as to enable icons instead of texts.

I also had the same problem, going back to the previous theme I lost the buttons of the buttons .. and also modifying the registry key does not pop up,
when I touch the buttons you see a square white icon, how can I reinstall these buttons, including the arrow to the back and bolted to the block,
I tried this but nothing happens

It is a reported problem with the windows mobile operating system while using the black theme. The other classic blue theme does not have this problem. I think a software upgrade or downgrade should make it back to the usual buttons. I mean the current version has some design issues like what you are experiencing.

Hi, sorry to post but i don't really know how to search for what I'm after
I just want to change the windows keys at the top of the bottom of the screen to solid black instead of the shiny grey gradient.
Can I directly change a graphics file? and if so where is it?
Thanks for your help
ant
Is this not possible, I had a go with the Theme maker program, but then when I output to WM6 it retains the shiny black bars that I would really like to have in solid black

I think maybe you should search for a skinning program? or a skin that does what your thinking of.
Can you post a screenshot or picture to show exactly what you mean?
Or do you mean, bars like these?

yeah, how did you do that, there is no vertical gradient, i like that but i would prefer it all black
what skinning program will do that? does the program have to run in the background all the time or is it a one time operation to set the skin?

Hi:
After I installed a solid black theme, which I use, now the top and bottom bars appear solid in all themes with black bars. You could give it a shot. Not sure if it will work, but it will be easy to test. Just install the theme I attach here, then try another theme with black bars, and see if it works . For some reason it worked on mine.
Another way is to use a theme editor (I use Themegence), and use black bars for WM5, that too makes them solid black.
Anyway, I hope this works for you
Cheers for your help guys
I used UI Tweaker in the end, it did exactly what I wanted, then I used some other things I found on here to hide the top and bottom bars, now it looks perfect!!
Here is the new theme of my Friend Utopiaet !

This theme has a multimedia dock , you need two other good programms :
mortscript and S2P and a script made by Nicko (from MC) thanks to him
there are many docks and 2 bottom bars
The first shows you notifications (mails, sms, calls,Meetings) with quick buttons to go direct to them
Second one has 2 buttons that you can customize for your needs !
Top bar shows Network , battery , date and 3 buttons for WiFi , bluetooth and vibrate button for direct activation
if you use Top gesture (bottom to top) you display a wall like a Partial Lock (or a secret Mode ) ,
Bottom gesture (from top to bottom you return to Normal display)

only thing i dont like are the buuf icons. The animation events look really nice tho, nice timing and whatnot
tank'you and your skin overlay blak and overlay white is a very nice skins,i like your job
Does it have landscape support?
Can you make a QVGA? My Tilt is jealous!
Hi Tilt
I'll ask him for QVGA version , I'll keep you in touch
If many asking sure he'll make it
about Landscape : I think he works on a Landscape page
@all : Wad is really fantastic and easy , the only problem is memory (on my P3600 so many crashes : not enough memory)
I have tried this and even though I am using a WVGA devicethe buttons are really small and unusable to use with your fingers.
Graphically it is very nice though.

The only thing I have seen that has the capability to make task and menu bar transparent is wm6.5. wisbar cannot make themes transparent. You actually have to blend your bars in with the theme. Therefore, if you use a different theme, transparency does not exist until you create bars that blend with that new theme.
sorry if that is confusing.
I did ask what actually made the task bar transparent for 6.5 in another thread but I do not believe anyone answered.
but there are some pictures that shows transparent taskbar in the forum
the titanium plugin mixed with the new 6.5 shell can do it

To be more specific, I need 6.5 VGA shell theme. mtstmp has come out with a QVGA 6.5 shell. Any hopes of getting a VGA port soon?
did anyone of you try the "search" option that's free on this forum? It's so good, it'll even give you results of top secret cia project ;-P
For those still running 6.1 (like me), you can use dcinobar. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=969598&postcount=12 The softkey bar disappears from the Today screen, which is really what I was after. If you open a program (ie programs, file explorer) the softkey bar reappears, but will vanish when you return to the today screen.
I made, for my personal use, a mix of the Samsung Black theme made for Omnia2 and the GlossBlack by m.carroll, along with some customs images made for me by Vostradamus.
I liked the glossy bars and selectors of the GlossBlack by m.carroll but at the same time I wanted to keep the black background of the default Omnia2 theme.
Maybe someone else may like the full black theme, so I decided to post it here too.
GlossRealBlackTheme
Details:
- VGA and WVGA only
- WM 6.5 only
- black background in any application
- glossy taskbar mirrored from the original by m.carroll (glossy effect on the right side, so to reduce "problems" if you using any apps like WKtask or Indibar)
- item selectors with glossy effect in blu to be readable on the black background
Installation: after installing the cab, you have to select the theme from Start->Settngs->Today and click ok.
Important1: even if many people tested it already without any problem, this is my first theme (and second cab^^) I ever made so I don't assume any responsability if you have any problems with it
Important2: some applications don't support a black background and will still show the text in black too (so nothing can be read), for example older version of SKtools (newer versions have been fixed)

The taskbar icons aren't related to the Theme.
You need to install the taskbar itself: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520132

I like FingerKeyb2.1 more than the HTC's EZInput, but I like the look and layout of HTC EZInput more... so I decided to make a theme using HTC EZInput's graphics and layout to be used with FingerKeyboard 2.1. It works in both landscape and portrait. Smiles and Shortcuts are on the touch-and-hold keys for the first 12 keys on the 'Shift' layout. I didn't include modified Smiles and Shortcuts so you can change them to what you want yourself.
Just place the files in the zip in your \Program Files\FingerKeyboard\Skins folder and reload the SIP.

This is for WVGA only. I'm not saying QVGA can't be done, it just takes a lot of time to map everything. You can try it for yourself if you want. Just modify the files in the zip. You'll get the hang of how it works after changing things around a bit.
Love this one !! But I have a WQVGA device Please port this great one for smaller screens !!
Thanks! Works perfect on my omnia ii!
nice idea..
just a suggestion, usually ezinput give 2 skin layout (with/without arrow)
thanks.
