touch flo 2D possible on the xperia

Hi, just wanted to know if the touch flo 2D that I have on my htc trinity(ROM FAMAN) was possible to put on the xperia1????
i know it can seem outdated but I'm really used this system and find it practical!
any ideas???????

I would recommend you to try TouchFLO3D, since it looks almost the same as Manila 2D but is much nicer to look at. There's different versions available, you can also use it as a panel.

i tried it but too much touching to use it. sometimes, old systems work better than new ones.....(vista/xp for example

First step would be WM6.5 (coming this year). We will probably be able to do that without big problems (CPU/RAM/ROM is all best-in-class) but maybe not officially...
With WM7 we need to see as it is more than one year ago which is like eternety for mobile devices...

Could you please tell me what the differences are between TF3D, Manila 2D and Touch-HD?

[Req] HTC 4G WiMax Port for X1

Hi all,
Is anyone looking at porting the TFL3D from the HTC 4G?
Just asking because it's running at the same resolution as the X1 so therefore can do landscape.
I know they have a new firmware out already at:

This could be interesting, and a good resource of software for custom roms.
Btw, does the WiMax specification require hardware that isn't present on the Xperia antenna module? Else we could use the Radio from the HTC 4G WiMax to make the Xperia an WiMax enabled device, right?

nope it'll never be possible because wimax is a different tecnology with differente piece of hardware is not wifi...

Yup, I was thinking it would be nice to have a landscape version of TFL3D, but....I've looked at a few youtube videos and haven't been able to find one that displays TFL3D in landscape mode.
Can any of our Russian friends confirm that it does actually have a landscape?

Have you also seen the HTC Footsteps.....
Something new in TF3d and TF2d.

manila from wimax has the required files to have landscape, but I have not yet found any registry settings that confirm it..

Alright, maybe I'm very late when it comes to this, but is there a TouchFlo 3D ROM for the G1 that's currently being updated and everything? I remember seeing one by Drizzy a while back but that's it. No more from that

Anyway, I tried one for the mytouch 3g and it was bootlooping. i think it was like either v2.8 or v3.0

I put it into quotes so you can see what he said. Yes he did say something about windows mobile software, specifically HTC's skin.

is it possible to get the Nexus One operating system to run as HaRET on the Kaiser?

The Nexus One runs Android 2.1 with some custom UI stuff made by HTC(/Google?). Technically the answer to your question is "yes".
If you are asking "Can the Kaiser duplicate the exact same look and feel as the Nexus One?" the answer is No.
YMMV but in my experience there are some really good Kaiser android builds in the forum here. They may not have animated wallpapers, voice search, fully functional bluetooth or camera, but very impressive for the Kaiser.

If you have the option , buy one. Running Eclair on your Kaiser will not give any kind of indication at all , how the Nexus One will be. The Kaiser has a smaller screen less than half the processor speed, and will only boot from inside WM.
You will probably learn more by watching you tube videos of the Nexus One than by running 2.1 on your Kaiser.

Like others state theoretically possible but spec wise the Kaiser does not cut the mustard.

There are some new versions of 2.1 that alredy has animation working and voice search and camera the only thing different from the nexus one is the menu

i got the nexus one now it's great but I'm not gonna change any software on it because i just want to see what the actual phone software on it is like.

no it's actually really good not slow at all and i will cusimize it once i just see what it can do without any off that because i have no doubt xda will make it a lot better.

Qualacom Snapdragon = ARM V7
Unless you can rewrite the MS Core, it ain't comin'.

What about just the WinMo7 apps??
Don't care so much about getting 7 perse, but it would be nice if some of the apps can be ported over...like the Xbox Live or the Netflix Movie Streaming apps...

I want to know if I can get WM 6.5 on one of those nice new WP7 phones. I do not want WP7, but I want one of those new phones! The hardware looks great.

I agree with you there. The 7 Pro is on my wish list, but not until someone gets a different OS working on it.

I would say no, but then again Android, Ubuntu and other OS's have been ported and they weren't exactly designed for the device. I would say nothing is impossible, unlikely? Yes.

Yeah it would be the hd2...same camera, quick snapdragon processor, big-ass screen. I just test drove both today...actually preferred the hd2 to the hd7
