Just wanted to let you guys no that you can now go into the downloads section of ROM manager and you'll see the Sonofskywalker3 section. Blackhole is not quite ready for release yet, so you won't see it there, but I have put up a large collection of live wallpapers, multitouch keyboards from camelot, boot/shutdown animations, and launchers that you can now flash easily straight from your phone. I haven't been able to test these since i don't have a vibrant, so i'm relying on you guys. Please post any problems you have wiht anything in ROM manager to the official error reporting thread at www.androiddoes.net/sonofskywalker3 or right here in this thread and i'll try to keep on top of it. thanks for all your support guys.
Awesome! Checking it out now.

Dude, can you please send me instructions on how to get this added to rom manager.... I have tried koush with no luck.
Awesome you were able to!
Will this need a ROM Manager update, or is it all ready to go? (I'd look myself, but I'm flashing back from CM at the moment..)
Edit: Oh wow, is this nice. s15274n- It's under the download rom section. I know it mentions something about the premium version, click that.
to answer both questions at once: www.github.com hosts all koush's code for rom manager manifests. If you open an issue there with the code you want added one of his team will add it. once it's added you show up in rom manager instantly, no upgrade needed, because when you click donload rom in any version of rom manager it parses the code at github.com in manifests.js and looks for any vibrant = true tags, and if it finds it, it displays the info. I personally forked the manifest, edited it, and used a pull request to get it committed to the main manifest. if you want help getting yourself in rom manager, look for me in #sonofskywalker3 on irc tomorrow evening and i'll be glad to chat with you and walk you through it.
I love you...whomever the fark you are!

If it's that easy, why aren't the ROMS in there? That would save so much time and heartache.
None of the live wallpapers work for me...Axuras 2.1
Patience.....fauk, someone is going the proper route and you want to rush them.
CMR flashing FTW!

Hey lightninbug, do the wallpapers just not work? Did you flash them thru clockwork? Im at work and I dont want to do anything to soft brick my phone.
So you actually flash a wallpaper?? Sounds strange.... lol
yeah they dont soft brick.....just fc upon trying to open them.....yes flashed thru clockwork n rom manager...they installed to system/app..dont work tho
Thanks lightnin. I'm having trouble finding this stuff tho. My download section says it only has extras and free stuff. Not sure where to find these goodies at.

I'm afraid you have me confused with someone else. I have never released a ROM for galaxy tab, only one before this was the version for fascinate, and it's working great on my own phone as well as many others. Also I have never posted here asking how to make a ROM. I got started by reading tutorials online, getting help from other devs in IRC, and a lot of trial and error with my own phone before I ever released my first ROM. I don't mind criticizm, and welcome error reports, both are ways to improve the final product. However they are only helpful if they are true. If you can link me to the posts where I supposedly did these things I may better understand what you're talking about.
As far as the live wallpapers they are from the fascinate, I was hoping they would be installable without modification. Is anyone else having this issue with other roms? could you please get me a logcat during an fc so i can see what it's doing? also please try the digital rain wallpaper, it's from the market so we can use it as a kind of control group. thanks.
Sonofskywalker,
you will have to excuse the comments and tone of some in here. Recently this section has many unacceptable outbursts. I agree, issues must be raised in a constructive manner, rather than just being rude.
thanks for your work and I'll take a look.

Actually, the bootanimations are firmware independent, so they'll work fine, the keyboards have been tested on 2.1 on the fascinate and they worked, so give them a try, and the livewallpapers came from 2.1 on the fascinate, and don't work on at least 1 2.2 rom, so if you can try them out that'd be great. and all these updates do is add an apk file to your system partition, so there's no worry of bricking as long as you have a nandroid backup.
that being said, I need a few people to test the final alpha build before i release it as a public beta, just got it uploaded this morning. Please email me at [email protected] if you're interested, and i'll be glad to send you a link. please note you'll need to have a jk6 modem and kernel installed, but i'll be glad to send you links for those too.
Hello everyone,
I was reading all the posts about Custom Roms and I wanted to make something like an "XDA-Rom"... Maybe it would be better if I explain what I mean
Beginning from the system, I'd say it should be a very lightweight Rom (like the Gilgamesh one), so, without almost all the LG crapware. But I'd keep only few things of this softwares:
- contact manager (so far it's the best one I've found, but maybe because I lack of experience)
- keyboard (on some videos they say it's the fastest one, but I may be in error)
- LG home and Home switcher, so that we can keep the mirroring app working when needed.
Then, I'd add the last MoDaCo kernel (the ROM should be working in EXT4, if I understtod correctly, this shall make the phone faster), maybe we could make a proper boot animation, and just few app that are (in my opinion) the only really needed, like the gmail app, the calendar one and only the basic things. We could even update the baseband and root the phone directly from the rom, so that after a fresh install it's already running. I'd replace even the LG lockscreen, that is really nice, but it's too slow (when I switch on the screen, I see the home and then the locked screen, this shouldn't happen with the default lockscreen).
Ofc, any suggestion is welcome
Thanks for reading, and I hope my idea is not that bad
I agree on the bootanimation.
Only on that? d'oh, I wrote for half an hour btw, I'd add Root Explorer as default as well... but I don't know how to do, I mean, would be enough to create the ROM with the kitchen (really a nice tool!) and then edit the *img files adding the software I want in the /system/app directory? Maybe this is a noobish question, but it's the first time I even get closer to creating a custom rom
Oh, integrate BLN to have notifications would be a great idea ! (if you touch the kernel)

For the experience, I'd like to test
Just use the online kitchen...
I was actually 30 mins from posting a pretty close ROM to what you mention here yesterday, but built the one I'd like online instead (except for some tweaks I put in laster on).
If people is more open for a ROM like this for direct download, I'm happy to compile/maintain it Just thought that it wasn't needed...

How to install racht's roms?
Copy extracted files to sdcard/xrecovery/backup, than hit restore in xrecovery
Q: Wich ROM is the best ROM?
A: It's your choice. All 2.2 and 2.3 roms are stable enough for daily use.
Q: What is the most lightweight launcher for our X8?
A: Hard to tell, but Launcher Pro and Zeam are at the top, while ADW is the most slower launcher for our device.
Q: Can we have both Clockwork Mod and xRecovery in our device?
A: Ofcourse! Most of the custom roms to date have both recoveries.
Also, you can install them manually following this guide.
Q: Is it possible to boot two different OSes on our device?
A: No, our device can run only Android but you can have multiboot and boot to the two different ROMs.
Q: Will installing custom rom unlock my X8?
A: No. Your carrier SIM lock doesn't have anything to do with rom
Q: Can we have custom kernel?
A: Yes we can. Bootloader is unlocked and now we can boot into custom kernels.
Q: Why GingerBread camera is VGA limited?
A: We now have fully working camera thanks to doixanh, but he just modifeded Eclairs camera libs to work with Gingerbread roms.
Free Xperia Team is working on new libs for our device, read this:

x8 was released with 2.1
2.1 camera library can be used on 2.1 roms just by copying 4 files
2.1.camera library can be used on 2.2 roms by copying 4 files and apliing an patch
2.1 camera can not be used on 2.3 roms
For 2.3 roms you have to compile camera from sources and sources are incomplete!
Unless SE releases 2.3 rom for x8 or we will succed writing the sources the camera will be broken
wo kernel bypass is hard because camera interface in kernel is not trowing debug messages so we can not debug camera
we can just try to guess the parameters

Q: Can I have multitouch if I install custom rom?
A: If you have Synaptics digitizer you can use fake pinch-to-zoom by doixanh.
If you have Cypress digitizer you can use real dual touch by AnDyX
Or, you can use some custom kernel which has built-in these modules.
Q: How to know do I have Cypress or Syaptics digitizer?
A: Look here
Q: Is our device MDPI or HDPI?
A: Our device is MDPI wich means 320x480 px resolution (HVGA). HDPI are high-end devices with res 480x800 or more.
So, our device needs MDPI compatabile theme and app.
Q: Can we have SWAP on X8?
A: Yes, since bootloader is unlocked we now have kernel that supports it
Q: How can I go back to 2.1 from custom roms?
A: Just flash again using SEUS or PCC, or using Flash Tool.
Q: Can we have Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) on our X8?
A: We already do have, but to be honest - what's the point? -Nothing works. 3.0 is intended for tablets with large screens.
Q: I can't connect to WiFi network. What should I do?
A: 1st: Try to forget ALL of your remembered networks.
2nd: Just wait...
Q: I can't connect to WPA2 secured netowrks. What should I do?
A: Yeah, some ROMs, do have problems with WPA2 secured and only thing you can do is wait for fix or try to update your router frimware.
If you still have some kind of problems with WiFi, you could try removing N standard.
Search button is above
Q: Where are apps from app2sd saved?
A: Into .android.secure folder on your sd card, wich is hidden.
You can see that folder with Root Explorer or PC.
Q: Can we have a flash player on our X8?
A: NO. For now. Our processor (ARMv6) doesn't support flash player yet. Maybe it will in future. Don't ask about this, read this.
Q: Why custom 2.2 roms have problems with BT headsets?
A: It's a bug in cm6 source, so if you need BT headset please use 2.3 or 2.1
Q: My battery is draing fast. What should I do?
After flashing a custom rom, you should drain your battery thean charge it to 100%. Go to xRecovery and Wipe battery stats.
You can try Battery calibration app from market.
Still the same? You can try this if you are on 2.3
Q: What is terminal emulator?
A: It's an app wich emulates Linux terminal. You can install it from market if you are on 2.1, in custom rom is already included.
Q: I have a little of ram free... is this bad?
A: Actually, this is good. It doesn't matter how much of RAM is available, important is, How much of CPU specific app uses.
Read this for more information.
Q: I want Walkman app? Where Can I find it?
A: Look here
Q: Is it possible to port Sense 3 to X8?
A:No it's not possible because it needs 1.2 GHz cpu and we only have 600-748MHz...
And sense widgets and apps need sense framework to run...so you could use sense like widgets!
Fancy Widget, for example.
Q: Wich SYSTEM apps are safe to remove on stock rom?
A: timescape, talk.apk, Facebook, PlayNow, Maps, CA Gold, Crazy Penguin, Creatouch, GeoTags, RoadSync, RollerSync, Tower Bloxx NY, TrackID, Wisepilot, Navigator, User Support, User Guide, Email, Backup and Restore, Music R2R Client...
Gmail? - Probobly YES. Make backup first just to be 100% sure.
Q: I get music player hickups (lags) on custom roms. What should I do?
A: You can try to change SD card read cache back to 128Kb to avoid hickups.
You can use this app from market, set to 128k, 256k, ... reboot.
Q: Volume is too low for me, how can I incrase it, make it louder?
A: If you're using Gingerbead you can use DSPmanager to incrase overall volume. (DSP not work on Froyo!)
And also you can try:
Poweramp music player wich has built-in EQ pre-amp booster, but that can lead to music cracking.
You can try changing your MP3s volume using MP3 gain for Windows.
You can also try Volume Boost program from Market
Q: Is X8i same as E15i?
A: Yes. It's X8i = E15i, X8a = E15a
Q: Will "Factory reset" unroot my phone? (from xRecovery)
A: No. Factory reset will erase all your user data and settings, wipe your cache and dalvik cache.
So, if you're doing Factory reset, you should back up your stuff
Q: What's the difference between "Install update.zip" and "Install custom .zip in xRecovery?
A: update.zip just automatically allocates update.zip named zip on the root of the sd card. While choosing "Install custom zip, you have to choose file by yourself.
Q: What is the usefulness of an ext3 partition on the SD memory for applications?
How to create a partition?
A: You can make a partition in your SD for example of 1 gb EXT3 only for apps, you can make it with Minitool partition wizard home edition (its free).
In ext3 the apps are fully saved in the sd (.apk, dalvik cache and data) and you can liberate more space in the disk than app2sd.
Q: Reduced image quality in gallery? Solution.
A: Andoid Gallery (3D) reduces background gradients for faster viewing...
You can useQiuck Pic Gallery if you want better image quality.
You can check differnece here.
Q: Where can I find HD games for my X8?
A: Look here - please ask there if you have problems about HDgames
MODULES informations:

Note: If you're using custom kernel, you don't need these modules anymore!
We have 8 modules for our phone, includes:
Overclock(By doixanh)
Undervolt(By doixanh)
Gesture Pinch Zoom(By doixanh)
X8 MDDI Fix(By doixanh)
X8Kconfig(By doixanh)
Dual Touch For Cypress Touchpad(By AnDyX)
'Smartass' Governer For X8(By AnDyX)
X8 Netfilter(By AnDyX)
Introduction of these modules:
-Overclock
Easy English:make your CPU freq higher.
-Undervolt
It saves battery, decrease the heat of CPU,and make your phone more stable.
-Gesture Pinch Zoom
It is the fake multitouch modules for Synaptic Digitizer.
-X8 MDDI Fix
It increases your phone's smoothness by eliminating the lag that happens every 5-7 seconds in custom ROMs.
-X8Kconfig
It not for daily use,it's for developers to extract kernel config from our running kernel 2.6.29 in X8.
-Dual Touch For Cypress Touchpad
It's the real multitouch if you're the lucky one to have Cypress Digitizer.
-'Smartass' Governer For X8
- allows to set max CPU freq when screen is off (to save battery),
- allows to set starting CPU freq when phone awakes (to speed up awake process),
- allows set/change almost all aspects of governor (to suite needs),
- should be a bit more responsive when parameters are well choosen
-X8 Netfilter
- we can (hopefully) have native usb/wifi tether on our phone.
Other benefits:
- Firewall apps
- Transparent proxies
- NAT
For installation instructions and other informations visit specific thread.
MDDI, X8 Gesture and Undervolt are already included in most of the roms
The most current noob question:
Is it possible to have MultiTouch on Synaptics?
Answer:
No, you can just have a fake DualTouch, but only devices with Cypress (NOT Cyprus, that´s a country!) support full Multitouch.
How can I install <put whatever you find fit here>...
How to know if I have Cypress or Synaptics digitizer?
There are 2 ways to find out if you have Synaptics or Cypress digitizer..
1st:
If fake pinch2zoom from doixanh (which is included in all ROMs) works on your phone you have Synaptics digitizer.
2nd:
Try this command in your phone (either with terminal or with adb shell)
dmesg | grep "cyttsp-i2c"

If you have something like this, that means your X8 is using Cypress digitizer

Can someone explain the usefulness of an ext3 partition on sd-card and a guide on how accurately proceed in the partitioning?
Thanks for any help
I'd like to suggest some more solutions for battery draining:
- Close as more apps as you can, and as frequently as you can. Background apps may use CPU, and that will consume battery
- Reboot after you finish using wifi/3g. There are many background network services, like Maps, Market, Email, Facebook... They try to connect to their servers (and take some CPU usage) even after you disconnect from network. Reboot to make everything fresh.
- Reboot after listening to Music. Music service is running in background even after you stop the music and sometimes use CPU. Reboot to make everything fresh.
- Don't use live wallpapers. They're high CPU consumers.
- The less screen widgets, the better. Less widgets use less CPU, which will save battery.
I myself never used the "wipe battery stats" feature and/or battery calibration. I only use the tricks above, and usually I got 3 days for each battery recharge.
It's annoying.
Dx, does Fast Reboot Pro have same effect

Thanks for the answers ... I can't post in the Insanity ROM thread because I'm a new user, restricted to Q&A.
1. What I meant by incremental upgrade is an upgrade that does not require wipe/factory reset. I know you can use an app to back up your apps and restore them ... I don't want that, I want a procedure for update without reinstalling all the apps, because that does not work perfectly, you still lose settings.
2. I tried to install 026 over 024 without factory reset/wipe and ended up in an infinite reboot cycle. After that, I still did the factory reset and tried 026 just to see if the android browser doesn't crash anymore when I enter into downloads ... sadly, it still crashes, so I just restored my backup of 024.
It's "insanity" that such a basic function stays broken in so many rom revisions IMO. The android browser is the best browser on android overall ... I don't want to use opera, firefox or whatever.
3. I thought I did, but I'll check again. But even if there are more sounds to pick from, that does not help me in adding my own notification ringtone to that list.
To update just download to sd card, go to nitrality/backup & restore/flashcwm and flash, all apps and settings stay, then just repeat procedure and flash packs and nitrality apps as required, job done
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
To add your own sound just create the file and push to relevant folder

Also re. Browser, google browser really isn't that good, I have heard problems downloading with it, but that isn't unique to insanity, go forth and experiment!
edit.....if you want to get into insanity thread to post all you have to do is notch up 10 posts, then i think you can post anywhere
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
Do I need a special upgrade package for that?
Because ... isn't nitrality/backup&restore/flash_cwm_package the same as entering recovery mode and selecting the cm026 zip that got me into an endless reboot?
I searched for the Altair notification and the ringtone folder is:
/system/media/audio/notifications
The actual notification is an ogg file, but I presume mp3's will work.
Hard to believe there's no actual UI option for that ... you can set the ringtone using the music player, but you can't set the notification ringtone that way.
I'm all for light/fast software, but if the software is buggy and it's lacking basic functions that are super simple to add but are ignored because the developer did not do a proper specification, it becomes pointless. Fast and light is nothing without stable and elegant.

I disagree, the google browser is the best, and it's especially fitting for the light and fast concept of insanity rom.
My suggestion is do a fresh install
Procedure
A) download cmxxx
B) download all the cm packs
C)flashezbase 2...allow to reboot
D) flash cmxxx through recovery...allow to reboot
E)go to nitrality/backup restore
F)flash each pack..allow to reboot each time
G)go to nitrality/apps and load apps you want (calender apps important)
H)change dpi in nitrality ui if required

I disagree, the google browser is the best, and it's especially fitting for the light and fast concept of insanity rom.

well from what i have gathered it doesnt work well at the moment with deodexed roms so my comments still stand.....and i very much doubt any of your problems are due to nitr8 errors, he is a very well respected dev who is very thorough, if you dont like his rom there are plenty more to try out there, as for the mp3 thing, im guessing that you will need to convert to .ogg, but that is just a guess
sometimes you need to do a double flash if it reboots,ie flash through nitrality, if it loops then do 3 button recovery and reflash, but this problem was sorted im sure, but worth a try,
the point of this rom is that it is as small as possible, so adding your own notification tone isnt such a big deal, he wont change things just for one little moan!
Thanks for your help ... maybe I wasn't clear about what I mean by apps ... I don't mean the app packs you download to complete the insanity install, I meant my own installed apps.
You know, installing a new OS version shouldn't mean a re-format of the system partition and a re-install and re-customization of all 3'rd party apps.
That is ABSOLUTE basic functionality, just like changing the notification ringtone. If a ROM doesn't include that, there is something wrong with the concept ... Still, I didn't request anything.
But as it is, it's also not worth donating for insanity rom. I only donate for perfect roms. I donated for darky 9.5 but not for 10.1, that drove me to insanity.
I have to ask you slaphead20, are you associated with nitr8 and insanity?

if you are updating from insanity to insanity all user apps and system settings stay put...as i stated before, i recommended a fresh start to eliminate the bad flash factor, as it seems that you have a some time corrupted or made a mistake... of course you will deny that but it is just part of the process of elimination!
as for am i associated to nitr8, im just a user that helps out a lot on his thread, and anywhere else i can as i have time on my hands due to the fact that i have terminal cancer...so stop being paranoid, im just trying to help you and get to the bottom of your problems and share my experience as i have been with insanity for a long time and know nitr8s work pretty well....in short im just an ordinary joe! also donating is up to the individual, nitr8 has a full time job, all donations go towards future dev and equipment to speed up rom production, and if you start looking around you would appreciate just how much of his own time he puts in FOR FREE....into this forum...as do all devs
Relax, I am not paranoid and I don't suspect you of anything ... LOL, what would I suspect you of? Liking specific ROM's is not a crime (or maybe on XDA it is, I have to check the FAQ).
I just went to the insanity ROM thread and saw you help a lot of people there, and thought maybe you're associated with the project. Which you should think about IMO, if you do it anyway and plan to do it in the future.
I'll try and update from 024 to 027 ... maybe it was a bad flash before, you never know. I still have the 024 backup so there's nothing to lose.
And about donation: if commercial developers only get money for finished ready-to-use software, why should open source developers get money for less? That would just make them less than they have to be.
PS: Good luck with your health. My mother had a breast cancer scare 5 years ago ....

well im involved in as much as when trojan went on hols i stepped in to cover him and try and turn the thread into a less hostile place where everyone helps, and i did a little bit of beta testing so what i do i do with nitr8s bllessing, but right now with going through chemo i have stepped back a bit and just help out, thankyou for kind wishes edit....only 3 more posts and you can post on insanity, and you have your 1st thanks now
like it ^^
Thanks for thanks!
In process of flashing 028 over 024 .... and it's the same, endless reboot, restoring the backup.
When the browser bug is solved, I'll re-format and flash a new version (if I don't try darky 10.2 in the mean time) ...

did you do a fresh install as I suggested? I always do factory reset before and and after the ezbase install and never have problems, and the browser bug as you know is not a problem with insanity, but a conflict between the browser and deodexed roms. All the best

No, there's nothing in the changelog that would deserve the effort to wipe/reinstall.
Yes I know the browser situation, but I think there are fixes for the browser already .... I don't know if they're for cyanogen though.
On a whim I tried darky 10.2 and sadly it has bugs too:
- twlauncher hangs when you try to save the settings and restart it
- the browser sometimes just shows a blank white page instead of the loaded webpage.
What's funny is this - when you press windows you see the miniature of the actual webpage, it isn't blank, so the page is loaded, the browser just doesn't want to show it.
This rom is based from zukriaksah's miui 1.12.16. His had a good foundation just some issue. I have made some changes to it and so far things are working (keep in mind that this has not been tested for a little more than 2 days).

(sorry file are on work pc and this is the only way that I can get them up...so if some one can move to a better site for downloading...pls feel free to do so)
you will have issues with wifi on this rom - the work around that I used it to load cacingkalung's modded version of the sd kernel...get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20326475&postcount=240
had to change the build.prop this phone keep rebooting with some of the files that I had to switch out. I used files from tj and issac.
usb and headphone issues are gone (so far)
added the miui 4-way reboot (hold power button for options)
the fm radio that is in the rom fc's (wish someone can fix this..I am at a loss, I know that it has to be a driver issue but I have no clue which one have been searching for weeks it seems to correct this...I really miss the radio)
added some init.d tweaks...these are found in the various forums here on xda
you might have to load script manager to get them to work (I load this anyways so I dont know if it is needed)
what I added to the init.d:
10cpu - sets the cpu values and govenor
11 iosched - set i/o scheduler
both of these you do not need if you use setcpu or other program like it...I just dont like to have these loaded they take up space and memory.
80netspeed - internet speed hack (helped on mine)
97ks - some kernel mods - helps rom run smoother in my opinion
98kt - internal task killer values
you dont need these you can remove them...play around with the settings you might be able to tweak the rom more to you liking...these are the values that worked best for me
I dont have much of a clue on the battery life yet...have had phone up and down so much that I have not let it go threw my daily pace
So far things seem stable...still no HDMI, dont know if we will ever have this...I am not that good with dev have look at other roms but if the drivers aint right it wont work
I also use force2sd to move the programs to the sdcard to free up the internal memory...everytime that I have tried to include apps2sd thing go wrong..this way works for me so I am not going to worry about it
you will probably get unknown for the carrier...if you know your spn values you can edit it and the name will show up...there are progams in the market that will fix it...other have had luck with out needing a program...In the miui forums they have miui extra setting and they say that you can use it to change the carrier name (never tried)
make sure that you do a system wipe before installing....I dont know what issue you will get if you dont

Please read carefully... As they say, they are trying their best to make the hdmi and fm working... please be patient and hope they can overcome the problem. And to be honest, its not an easy task... So, just wait and give the developers some time to fix it.

emt,
I will look at the files and see what I missed for the bluetooth. Sorry I dont use it so I didnt test it.
hey COWSGO..... really thanks for the this beautiful ROM.
quite smooth ...... experience .....
really happy with the ROM.
next time when you update the ROM with Bluetooth wish following update also ....
1. Camera if possible (Front)
2. Time should be at center of status bar like what you did with 1.12.2
3. FM if you able to repair ....
enjoy your holidays .....
Dont know if anybody has gps issues or proximity issues....I did....this is what I did to solve this
use root explorer goto system\lib\hw and rename two files to .old
the files are gps.fb0.so and sensors.fb0.so
then goto settings click programs and goto call settings and turn off enforce proximity (what ever the option is under use proximity sensor
reboot....after I did this the sensor works with incoming and outgoing calls and the gps locks in under 30 seconds. used gps status from the market to confirm...dont for get the you might have to edit the gps.conf file in system\etc (I think)...if you didnt edit this file after you loaded the rom then it will be set for north-america.
dont know why this worked....has to be a issue in the files...when I get more time I am going to decompile them to see what is different
