Keyboard - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a particular way to use the slide out keyboard? I find that when the key top part of the key is pressed, it might not register the input. However, if I press the bottom part of the key, the input will register. This is most evident with the C, Space bar and Back Space keys. Is there something wrong with my keyboard?

disable softkeys on slide-out keyboard

I use the softkeys sometimes on the main/normal/portrait keyboard, but I never use them when slided out - they are so tiny, and I always hit them on mistake.
Is there any way to easily disable them... ?
I use AE Button Plus, but I can't see any option in there to change these keys.
I use AEBPlus and set the Single press action to "None" and the Double press action to "Press Left/Right SoftKey" as appropriate. That way, if you accidentally hit the softkey while typing, you no longer do something stupid/annoying/disasterous like sending an incomplete email.
It means that the soft keys, when the phone is open or closed, will no longer register anything with just a single press but you soon get used to double pressing when you need to use them (or just use the on-screen softkeys).
Edit: Sorry, you said that you didn't see an option to change these keys in AEBPlus. There are options to change the Left and Right SoftKeys but these change the softkeys when the phone is closed as well as when it is open.

my modification of key layout

hey just making this suggestion for everybody, its something i did
I suggest remapping the smiley key on the keyboard to SEARCH and the symbol key to TAB, this way you can effectively use the quicklaunch shortcut keys on the right side of the keyboard, and you can use the tab key.
hope this helps someone

[Q] Adjust comma/period input keys

So the stock LG G2 keyboard allows you to move or disable the display of the comma/period key. Somehow the comma key has reappeared right next to the period key, thus squishing the spacebar shorter than I'm used to, and now I'm constantly inserting comma's between every single word I type because my muscle memory expects the spacebar to be wide enough where my thumb reaches. It's driving me insane, and I cant figure out how to modify the key placement anymore.
Help?

Missing keys on Tab S5e Keyboard Cover

Regarding the UK version of this keyboard, I can't seem to figure out how to input '~' or '#' symbols with the key that displays '~', '#', '|', '\'.
Anyone figured this out?
'Pg up', 'Pg down', 'Home' and 'End' can be emulated by holding 'ALT' and pressing the directions but only sometimes.
e.g. 'ALT' + Left arrow will execute the back action in Chrome browser.
Same for 'Esc' when holding 'ALT' and pressing the top left button. This does not seem to be just the escape function when using VIM in a terminal.
This is quite frustrating because I purchased this setup to do server work and I use these keys quite often.
I don't know how to help you, but can't you install the KeyMapper app to set key combinations for the missing keys?
