Get rid of Curved Grey lockscreen bar ? - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

I have Modaco ROM flashed, and have managed to upload a lockscreen wallpaper, but I still have the curved grey bar on the lockscreen.
Does anyone know how to get rid of it ?
Are the files located anywhere I Can pull and edit ?

yes you can
pull the com.htc.resources.apk
then the pics are located in res\drawable-port-480x320

where are these files held ?

try /system/app
Obviously you'll need to be rooted to do that (IIRC)

I think it's located here: /system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk
I'm now trying to get rid of the bar on the lockscreen myself, without flashing themes or stuff.
Or is there an update.zip only with a transparent lockscreen? I'm runnning on modaco 3.0

You may check out this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=594888
Or you install Lock 2.0 or Lockbot, you can find both on the market.

Thanks for the link. I tried Lock 2.0 but it messed with my sense...

dont set it as your home app!

edit: apparently I can't post links so search for "Drizzys Lockscreen Port"
It worked like a charm for me!

it works 1.5

i am just that good. i saw this thread a minute ago and already have the file for you uploaded and everything.
http://www.4shared.com/file/132234151/543640f1/blackbar_signed.html
its a small file because all it is framework-res.apk (that has the black statusbar_background.png and the statusbar.xml with white notification text) and services.jar which has the classes.dex file that has be changed so that the clock and date will be white.

it was based off of the 4.0.4 template and has a services.jar not compatible with the one for stericsons lockscreen, so no it won't. sorry when cyanogen releases a stable version if you would like this i will do one for you then, just pm me when the time comes around and i will make you one
i need to test out the new colorChanger.jar anyways so i can go ahead and make one real quick for 4.1.11.1 give me about 10 minutes or so and i will have a link
and here is one for 4.1.11.1 with the status bar inverted so it should retain the curved look from the donut one.
http://www.4shared.com/file/134673715/a3acd40b/blackbar41111-new.html
i know there are people using this (its kind of obvious with my 4shared account showing how many times it gets downloaded), so my question is should i start a thread like this that has black status bars for people that want them? that way those that do want a black status bar know where to look to find it? if so, let me know and i will, its not like it takes any sort of time to make one. like 10 minutes at the most.
i can make them for well any rom (i think, not tested on rogers but i could try) just give me your rom (with a link to it would be nice) and i will see what i can make happen
Thanks a lot for this. I have been wanting this for quite some time, but kept telling myself I should just learn how to sign the zip on Linux and do it myself.
I was excited for this, but had some real issues. Number one, it will overwrite Stericsson's lock screen (makes sense since we replace the framework-res.apk and services.jar). Secondly, each time I use this, even after a fresh wipe and install, gmail force closes (and yes, I have tried fix_permissions).

I'll look into stericson's lockscreen when i get home from work tonight ,and i don't know why it would mess up gmail since it doesn't touch the .apk. i will look into this and see if i can get gmail to force close.

Thank you very much. I was very confused why Gmail would close myself. I tried many combinations of wiping and flashing, but each time my gmail would force close.
I tried this on 4.2.11.1 and I ended up doing a backup recovery. I would really like to have a black notification bar. Please help me in achieving this goal...

It doesn't work on my MT3G 1.2. FC on acore when I choose to add a widget.
You know, I'd really like to see a PowerControl Widget modded to turn off AutoSync rather than background data. I still want to get my IMs, I just don't want notifications about emails and such...

Thanks!
MAybe stupid question ... but i will ask Is there any possibilities to port this Power Control widget (at all not only this MODED one) to 1.5 devices ? As Genie Widget was ? Or it is impossible ?

[Q] Can I get the default sense clock widget on Floyo 1.2.0 ?

hi, there!
i've just flashed the Floyo 1.2.0 and found it's run so quick !!!
only one (maybe two) thing i want is the default clock widget installed on Sense
Does anyone have any ideas how i can get it?
the second thing, does anyone using the battery circle percentage showing on the notification bar?
i've tried flashing my old .zip file and it coundn't be used with the Floyo ROM.
so if anyone has the file, or the thread linked to it please let me know
thanks so much
You're not going to get Sense clock widget. Fancy Widget/Beautiful Widgets are alternatives

about sense clock, it's not possible to get sense clock on floyo roms, however you can use fancy widgets as alternative. Older versions of fancy widgets looked totally like sense clock but newer are abit different due to some copyright problems. So if you find someone that can find you older versioins, it would be great!
and about battery circle, I don't know if there is circle battery for floyo, but some developers may have made it. but I haven't seeen it.

K, the battery circle can be done by yourself:
Find the .zip you downloaded, and extract the contents.
go to /system/framework/ and get the framework-res.apk to hand.
Go to http:// circle.glx.nl/ and select your fave battery mod, upload the framework-res.apk and dl your file.
then flash that .zip in recovery
[I would do this for you, but I've not downloaded the Floyo rom...]
Try Beauriful Widgets. You can make it look just like the sense one.

[Q] Is there any SGS i9000 ROM (stock or custom) without clock in the status-bar?

I need a help. Could someone tell me where can I find a ROM for Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 without the clock in the status bar? I found some threads about how can I get rid of the clock in the status bar but I can`t really do that. Every time I am flashing the file the phone will not reboot till the end and vibrating. I tried on many ROMs (stock and custom) but was not successful? Help please
Clock as in what sort of clock round clockface or the stock android digital time .
jje
Stock Android digital clock. Sorry for not being precise in formulation.
You don't need a special rom for that. There are themes in the Themes and Apps forum which don't have the clock. Black Android comes to mind...

Thanks. The Black Android is not working. It makes dialer and other apps disappear but clock is there forever. Others the same. I have used the flash files that can be found on XDA but the phone will not reboot (vibrating).
Why a developers of custom ROMs do not want to exclude the stock Android clock in status bar? Is it that hard or there is only me who do not want to have a double clock when looking on the screen? Maybe someone did it already but I can`t find it?
Very sad. Nobody knows what ROM can it be? :-(
every Rom has the Clock...
because it only could be in the same colour as the status bar to make it disaper.. D
to remove it completly would be very hard..
Someone made a standalone mod to disable the clock in the status bar.
I remember trying it out, then reverting because i actually wanted to see the time while apps were in the foreground.
Check the Themes & Apps section.

Resolved
Thanks to "azzledazzle" for help and to all XDA developers and users.
"azzledazzle" gave me the file for JPY ROM.
This is step by step manual (partly copy-paste): This will work only for JPY ROMs
First of all you need to be rooted and deodexed.... (for that I used http://romkitchen.org/ Thanks to DocRambone, Stefunel, and all others. Sorry if did not mantioned others names. I am not a proffesional and do not want to offend someone from developers). How to install custom ROM you can find in XDA forum as I did.
Let`s continue....
1) extract the JPY_services_no_clock.zip
2) put the 'services.jar' on the root of your sd card...
3) Open up root explorer (free in market, but I did it with Super Manager)
4) go to sd card and copy the 'services.jar'
5) go into /system/framework and paste the 'services.jar' (also at the top of root explorer make sure you are mounted (R/W) if using Super Manager (turn on root access from settings of the Super Manager).
6) reboot the phone and that should be it....
Thanks again to all developers and users.
would this work with JS7?

[Q] Need to locate these files? Help please

Hi i would like some help which would be nice from any Theme Creator or Dev because they will probably know where to look.
So can anyone tell me which files need to be changed to make the volume & brightness bars in quicksettings pulldown bar to change the bar color? i have changed the color via framework, system ui or htc res, rosie, settings files but.... not sure which files i changed in what location that did that?
Also which file do i need to locate to change the button pressed on the home screen? Cause i wanna get rid of the green sense look to my phone, my phone is looking pretty modded & i know how to use Photoshop to change PNGs & know how to mod APKs too.
Any help would be great i have tried the search bar on here & also in google but didnt get any results & to be honest i know people on XDA will know this.... thanks in advance
The progress bar color in quick settings is defined by this file: common_progress_full.9.png (in SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi)
Are you using a Gingerbread 2.3.5 or Sense 3.5 rom? If yes, the button press color in the homescreens can't be changed. At the moment all available tools fail with decoding the images.
In Sense 2.1, you have to edit Rosie.apk. For Sense 3 (+ GB 2.3.3 or .4), fusion.apk has to be edited with m10 tool.
I can give you more details if you want to.
Thanks
Thanks for that but i cant locate it in my system ui/res/drawable-hdpi? i tried looking in htc/rs/draw-hdpi too? cant find that common_progress_full.9.png? could you check again for me or if have time upload the file? i cant see why it would be missing though?
I havent had a chance to mess with the m10 editor? is it easy enough to use when editing the fusion.apk?
I love XDA.... its the best for phone modding & has many helpful members

You have to load the Rosie.apk with m10 editor, then decompile the Rosie_navbar.m10 file and change the following opacity values from 1 to 0.0099999998. If you set them to 0, pressing on the buttons will have no effect.
