xda mins vodafone uk chip mms settings needed (cab file)

Hi can anyone help me ?..... I have a 02 xda mini s, but im using a vodafone UK contract chip, I need the mms settings. I belive there is a cab file out there someware, if so could you please tell me were i can download it, or could you please email me it.. thanks for your help in advance Dave......
This worked for me
I set up the MMS settings according to the following and then ran the cab below which made the folder visible in Messaging. Don't know if it would work the other way round or if the cab does anything without doing the settings but, like I say, it worked for me -- if it ain't broke...
Settings/Connections tab/Connections/Tasks tab/Work (or whatever you call the 2nd section):
Add a new modem connection...
Name: Vodafone Live!
modem type: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Access Point Name: wap.vodafone.co.uk
User name: wap
Password: wap
Domain: blank
No extra settings under Advanced
Finish
Proxy Settings tab: Both boxes ticked
Proxy server: blank
Advanced: choose WAP
Server: 212.183.137.12
Port: 9201
User name: wap
Password: wap
Domain: blank
OK
Messaging app/Menu/MMS Configuration/Servers tab/New:
Server name: Vodafone MMS
Gateway: 212.183.137.12
Port number: 9201
Server address: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
Connect via: Vodafone Live!
Sending size limit: 200K (your choice)
WAP version: WAP 1.2
OK
Then run cab to create additional folder under Messaging. Good luck!

MMS and AKU3.2

has anyone been able to make MMS and AKU3.2 work togeather if so how?
Yes I have. You either have to manually configure it or get the cab files are for you carrier. Who is your carrier?
If it is Cingular follow this link and thank Shogun Mark.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280395
T-mobile is the carrier
Try these cabs. I extracted these from and extended ROM on the FTP.
thanks barry trying now
should i install in certain order and what do they do?
No particular order just do them all at once. They should confugure your mms server settings so that they will send and use the proper server.
yes, those cabs i posted are what i consider necessary cingular cabs, one does the mms, one does the media net and isp connections, the other does the mappings.. order shouldnt matter but if you wanted to do them in order of the cingular ext rom it would be like this
P_Conn_CWS_APR12_Wizard.cab
P_Cingular_CM_Mappings_10411101.sa.cab
MP-Customization-Wizard(AKU2.0)-CingularWithCamera-060406.CAB
i have personally installed them in any order i feel like at the time and it does still work
You didn't specify which T-Mobile you were using. If it's T-Mo US, I got the info for you inf you don't want to use the cabs:
1. Make this RegKey to enable editing of the MMS Settings (may be there already):
HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\Arcsoft MMS UA\Config\UI\EnableServerEdit
Change value to 1.
2. Here are the settings from the stock T-Mo US 2.26 ROM:
Name: T-Mobile MMS
Gateway: 216.155.165.50
Port: 8080
Server Address: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Connect via: T-Mobile MMS (My SDA (Tornado) uses "Internet")
Max. Sending Size: 300K
WAP Version: WAP 2.0

Click to collapse
The option is in Messenging.
* Go to any of your messaging types (Outlook Mail, Text Messages, Yahoo! Mail, etc.)
* Select Tools-->Options
* Select MMS and either tap it with stylus, or select it with the D-Pad
* Select the "Server" tab and you can create/modify settings
That's what I tried

i have molskis rom *not the 30mb* on a g4 wizard..... and ive used shoguns cab files which work great for media net settings.... i get the mms folders, i will show that its sending.. but just dissapers.. .and it stays in my outbox..... then sometimes i get a message back saying user barred... me and shogunmark are both baffled by this
Does anybody have MMS settings for Cingular BLUE?

Media Net and MMS

Are MMS sent through media net? I cannot send or recieve pics on my tilt. I called tech support and they told to get a new tilt. I rather not since most of my software is all custom set up. I think it may have to do with media net becasue i deleted it so i won;t get charged connecting. I use wifi. So can anyone tell me how to fix this or how medianet is set up under connections options so i can add it agian?
SMS are sent over GSM.
Go to 'MMS Options'
Server name: "Name of your choosing"
Gateway: wireless.cingular.com
Port Number: 80
Server Address: http://mmsc.cingular.com

Picture Messaging disabled?

Im running Dutty's last 6.1 ROM (link below) and recently iv found that my picture messaging is disabled. When i go to send a picture and open up the messaing options (lists my e-mail accounts etc) the txt message option is blanked out. As for receiving pictures, again i cant do this, instead i am sent a link to T-mobile's (my providers) web site and have to log on to view it.
iv been able to do it in the past, abit quite a long time ago so i dont think its the ROM, but at the same time i dont remember disabling it, and have no reason to have disabled in the first place.
Is there anyway to re-enable it? Has anyone ever had problems with this before? Iv already checked with t-mobile and its all set up at their end, so it is a problem with my phone.
Any advice is appreciated guys!

Is this mms from another T-mobile phone ?
Uh, when you flash a rom the WAP settings for sms are deleted. You need to update it in order to send photos. Your provider should have that info.
Spoke to t-mobile and everything is fine at their end, could it be down to the radio? But surely if it was, i would still be able to attempt to send a picture message, it just wouldnt send due to bad settings?
The fact everything has been either disabled/removed is suprising me. If i select a picture and click 'send' the txt messaging is blanked out but all my e-mail accounts are selectable. Same with if i go through messaing, i can send a txt message but there is no mention of MMS.
try these APN settings,,Ive had the same problem in the past
T-Mobile
APN: wap.voicestream.com or internet2.voicestream.com
User Name And Password: guest (for the 2nd APN only) leave in blank

Primary gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
Port: 8080
Secondary gateway IP: 216.155.165.50

MMS Mmsc Server: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
this is where i got the info::::http://modmygphone.com/wiki/index.php/Carrier_APN_Settings#AT.26T
Many thanks for your post cmeyer3, ended up trying a new ROM (PDAcornerultimate) and its working on this one. Thanks for the suggestion all the same mate

Manila 2.5 and At&t MMS

Hey guys, I posted this in general as well. I couldn't find anything for the life of me on it so I apologize if it's in here but I searched for about an hour. I got MMS working with manila 2.5 for Tilt 2. Here is the post.
Hey guys, here it is. I was beat last night.
http://thewingster.com/mmsfixm25.aspx
First use that link and download the OTHER networks fix by Valkyrie/Ace10134.
This will create a SampleMMSC MMS server in addition to the ATT one. Once that is done, go to all messages in you text messaging, then menu, then options. Once in this menu, hit menu again and hit MMS server. Here is where you need to put your settings and I think where the issue on the other fix has been. ATT's send limit is 600KB while Manila 2.5 defaults to 1024kb.
Server name: Whatever the hell you want it to be.
IP address: wireless.cingular.com
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Connect via: MEdia Net
Send limit: 600 KB
WAP version: WAP 2.0
Let me know how this works for you guys. Make sure you actually have the phone set to use the new MMS server too =)
If this does the trick for it some one cab it up for me please. I can't right now. Good luck guys. Let me know if this does the trick for you. I have sent many of MMS fine.
mms fix
Please post to links for users to try thanks.
For those who can't receive at&t mms:
I used the PR MMS MediaNet settings tool available on XDA
Go to Settings>Connections>Connections
Delete all data connections before running the tool
Use the device Network Setup Tool to make your primary connection.
Run the PR MediaNet MMS tool to set the size limites
After setting up the connection create a new connection in com manager
Use Work Connection
Use these settings
Connection Cellular GRPS 3G
Name I used MediaNet No Proxy
APN wap.cingular
Username [email protected]
Passwork CINGULAR1
Do not use the proxy settings for this
Have all internet applications go to this connection do that in your com manager
Go into your mms options in messaging click servers click at&t mms make sure MediaNet is still the connection for send/receive mms
now it will send receive mms using the at&t proxy and the internet for other apps without the proxy
