I have noticed on newer roms there is a newer version of android market, is there an apk i can use to replace my older version?
thanks.
If you are on 1.5 you can't upgrade it. You have to have a rom with 1.6 or higher to update it.
where is it?
for the cdma 1.6 AOSP

does the firmware version depends on the build of a [ROM]?
AFAIK firmware version should be the android version.
are you talking about the difference in the stable and experimental roms cyanogen has out? the stable is 1.5 and the experimental is 1.6.
so yeah firmware does depend on the rom. like an old jf rom is 1.1 -puts in some more examples bc i am to lazy to quote anymore-
i have cyanogen 7 installed on my nexus one. can i install the official updates again or is there another way to update my phone and still have a custom rom????
If you are running the latest CM stable (7.1.0), it is actually ahead of stock N1s. It is currently based on Android 2.3.7.
Hello,
Is anyone aware of a patched libstagefright library for the HTC M7 with Android 4.3? I saw a patched library floating around on here but I'm assuming its for newer Android versions. I'm not sure if the libraries are compatible between versions. Has anyone tried the newer patched library with an older Android version?
I don't feel like upgrading to a newer Android version, as my phone has been working perfectly for two years now. I'd rather just drop in a replacement lib.
There's no source for this library available otherwise I would just build it myself.
Thanks,
Jake

Patch is only available and compatible with Lollipop.
Update or remain vulnerable, choice is yours.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 running 4.2.2 and the latest update that I have and can get is v54. I see there's v86 out for Android 5.0+, is there a newer update for older Androids?
Most likely not as xposed is but against the current aosp code. So with each new release the older android versions are abandoned.

Darn. So it looks like my old ass phone won't work for a module that I run.
Thanks.
My phone's baseband version is : N920CXXU5CRL1
I cant find myself a suitable rom for me. I want it to close to stock android rom as possible but higher version of it since samsung gave up on releasing more updates on note5.
I want to find android 9.0 but no root or extra features sole android 9.0 because I play a game called Fate grand order which is nightmare of all rooting and custom roms.
Also is it possible to install higher version of android without changing kernel on it?
