Anyone know of a free wireless tether for root users for the Acer Liquid?
My mate has just bought one, and we've rooted it... but there aren't many forums with specific Acer liquid sections as of yet.

Also I would shoot maximus a PM, he has one and is dev'ing it now. I think there might need to be some kernal adjustments for the above to work though.

Has anyone successfully attached and used a wired Usb keyboard. I've searched thoroughly but haven't seen it specifically answered.
The only references seem to be regarding the potential blue-tooth capabilities, news that we all anxiously await. But I'm interested only in a wired...or possibly a wifi solution. at this time. I know that it has been done on an HTC android, and they speculated that it should be possible on most android phones but I haven't seen this confirmed for the nook color. I only ask because I would have to buy (arrggg.....spend money, deep breaths, deep breaths) and would like to be sure before making any purchases, thanks.
so i just got one as a present. rooted it in seconds but now what? from what ive read here there are no custom roms yet for this version PLUS the bluetooth keyboard i got with it cant even pair because the wifi only has different btooth capabilities apparently? i feel like i have a paper weight! lol unless i overlooked something what are the flashing options for the wifi only gtab?
nevermind. will be returning. hell my phone has more capabilities then this tab. very disappointing sam SUCK.

Sorry to hear that, he only keayboard working with the P1010 is the Freedom Pro with SSP profile and it works great! the problem is due to the lack of HID profile in Froyo, as far I know this was added in 2.3, and the devices pre-gingerbread that has it is thanks to the manufacturers, like Archos (Awesome custom suport for codecs and profiles).
At first I was feeling the same (Poor bluetooth support and no ad-hoc), but the little guy has grown on me, the p1000 is no option for me as I already have Phone, and planning on buying an Acer Iconia for in house use and leave the P1010 for the outside.
My dad bought a wifi-only galaxy tab 7", and I was wondering what/if any roms can be flashed one it? Thanks all
If you took a moment to search, you'd see there are NO custom roms/kernels/recoveries listed anywhere in the dev section. The best you can do is root and freeze/remove bloat with the wifi (p1010) only Tabs.

Plese advise me on buying tablet with gps(if possible to work without additional connected antenna) , 3G and phone capabilities . I was looking at the devices at chinagrabber web site but could not decide based on data on the web site.
Any experience with this devices are highly apprechiated. What does it mean performance wise as old 2.2 android is installed ?
Please sugest and advise me.

never heard of chinagrabber but the Samsung tabs have what you're looking for
Can pick up an old galaxy tab cheap nowadays since they have had 2 more releases.
I have read way to many answers to this to feel like I actually know whats going on so I am going to the source for this XDA. My question is simple does OTG work on a Non-rooted nexus7 and has any one confirmed this with a out of the box model I thought it was rooted only but then I see tons of articles that imply they used OTG on day one with a fresh model no roots. Looking for a confirm or deny from some one with a NON rooted version who has actually done it.

The OTG cable works fine for mice and such, but Stickmount only works on Rooted devices. You need to Root it to use Stickmount (with the OTG cable).

OTG only works with keyboard and mice. StickMount is currently the only way to mount USB drives and it requires Root.
