hello all,
i backed up my all contacts (sync, MS outlook)
& cleaned my phone, deleted calender events , notes and deleted all contacts from phone & SIM.
Now when im trying to sync back from Outlook(PC) to my Mobile, Contacts were not Coming back to my phone
i tried every possibilities/setting but only 2 contacts were being synced back to phone.
On the other hand, if im creating any new contact in phone, it is syncing with outlook(PC) perfectly.
Apart from Contacts, other thing like notes, calender, etc were syncing without any problem.
Please help, i have over 1000 contacts, well tagged with pictures & all stuffs.
how could i transfer them to my phone.
Phone:- Xperia X1 (no modification)
Softwares:- Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1, MS outlook 2010 beta,
Thanks,

Problem Solved guys........
Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 was the culprit, re-installing fixed the issues.

I got this strange problem. Contacts which have photo callers embedded or those which have notes written on them won't sync to my Kaiser.
Only plain contacts with no notes/photo will be tranferred.
I tried to hardreset, delete partnership, reinstall activesync etc and none seems to work.
If I edit the contact photo & notes from kaiser and sync it back to outlook it will works. Seems like it is set automatically to PPC overwrite PC?
What is so strange is that my other devices: Samsung i600 & MTeoR will sync just fine.
Anyone else have the same issue? and knows how to solve it?
Thanks.
Mine works fine. I have over 1000 contacts which more than half has photos and notes in it.
Same here, contacts with Photos and notes sync just fine on mine. Wish I had an answer for you.
Mine work fine too
I've had trouble with mine too. The initial sync sent all the contacts down except ones with photos or notes. Add a new photo to the kaiser and it syncs ok back to outlook, but not the other way.
In the end forked out for pocketmirror from http://www.chapura.com/pmp_wm.php
Its now syncing everything correctly, and means I can sync my work contacts separately from my wife's pda's. Doesn't let you sync remote Exchange yet though.
id reinstall activesync off of the install disk. a good place to start
this is driving me nuts... first off the specs:
phone:
t-mobile wing
windows mobile 6 pro ce 5.2.1235 build 17740.0.2.0
factory settings (just got done clearing back to defaults)
computer:
xp pro 64 bit
outlook 2003
outlook connector synced to hotmail account
active sync 4.5
now the problem:
outlook has total control over my contacts... when i make changes to contacts in my phone, they get erased by the outlook contacts when i resync my phone to my computer... basically, if i want to have a number changed in my phone, i have to do it in outlook and sync it...
when i try to go to the sync settings, the option to change the direction is grayed out and i can't change anything... otherwise i would have my phone sync to my computer and not the other way around...
i have removed all partnerships, uninstalled and reinstalled outlook and active sync, defaulted my phone back to day 1, etc etc etc... how do i get this setting back from the dead???
thanks in advance,
bennie

I have seen others with a similar issue around here, I would run a quick search for their issue threads to see if they got a resolution, cant remember for sure myself.
Also might try the T-Mobile Wing forum as they migth have a more specific solution to the phone, but I dont think its the phone itself I think its windows being flakey again

Try sync the other way around. push the sync button on your mobile device. Not the sync button on your pc.
That should work
I seems when syncing the contacts with myphone on touch pro or diamond it frezee up on 60% when restoring back the contacts, does anyone have this problem?
so far i can confirm me and other person from myphone forum is having this problem, he has the diamond and i have touch pro *fuze*
I have a fuze. I have no issues with myPhone. I have restored about 3 times now (everytime I flash), and I let it sync everyday. Works just fine for me.
MyPhone
I can confirm… I do not have this problem. I flash roms and sync contacts and texts only through myphone constantly. Never had freezups. I even do the myphone update over the air just fine. Here is my bug…. And I don’t know if it will ever get fixed.
I have an email account setup though active sync which syncs through my companies exchange server. I DO NOT have it set to sync calander or contacts or tasks. When I sync email through active sync it greys out the possibility to sync contacts through my phone saying” calander, tasks, and contacts cannot be synced through myPhone since it is already syncing through active sync” So even though I do not have the check box “contacts” ticked through active sync. MyPhone freaks out and says I’m already syncing contacts through exchange. Damn!!!
I should post this in a Microsoft beta forum.

http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/MyPhone/thread/d908b79f-e7c7-4ce5-b92d-da19044b10b6 <--- this is a previous one with all the ppl that seems to be exp. the same ppl like me
I have always saved my contacts / calendar via PIMBACKUP. Just done a hard reset on my touch pro. Restored all contacts etc, everytime I hook it into active synch (which already has my contacts and calendar), it keeps copying from my phone to outlook creating duplicates.
All i want is to copy all from mobile to pc and clear outlook contacts and calendar. Was able to before click on contacts and settings and it woudl give me a option, its currently hidden.
Thanks
any help please?
hi,
I just got HD7 and have Windows 7 x64 with Outlook 2010 32-bit installed.
All my contacts, tasks and calendar are organised using outlook and have elaborate Categories to manage and separate them.
What is the best way to sync ALL (contacts, tasks, calendar) including categories?
Of course, I am looking at a 2-way sync so changes made on the phone are updated in Outlook.
I used companionlink and it moves category data to "Notes" field plus there is no sync for tasks.
Is there a solution?
I am not liking that HD7 cannot sync with Outlook directly.
I was in the same situation as you. I installed the Hotmail Sync for Outlook, synced my email, calendar and contacts to my hotmail account, and watched them populate my phone. Regarding tasks, there's no sync at the moment, but what I do is copy and paste the day's tasks into a spreadsheet synced via Windows Live Mesh to Skydrive, and download it from there onto my phone each morning. I then use the filters to show me each category, and when I get home I update my tasks in Outlook from the notes I've made in the spreadsheet. Works for me until task syncing comes along.
Alternatively, if you don't use Start Date or Repeating Tasks, you could use Remember the Milk.
Neither is ideal but is a potential stopgap.
I think one of the add-on functionality for the wp7 update should include syncing contacts, calendars and tasks because a lot of users trying to switch phones (like myself and you guys) could find it very annoying to sync contacts from our old phone.
I was using the original HTC Touch HD and I thought it would be the easiest thing syncing contacts but noooo. I ended up syncing to outlook first then uploading to my windows live account and then all my contacts popped up on my phone after like 3hrs because I have about 500+ contacts.
