Just found a Chinese input, I think it's ripped from Acer handset.
Tested ChangJie Input working good with Cyanogenmod 4.2.13+EBI1 port. There's handwriting also; tho I haven't tested.
Works in both orientations.
Download, Try it at your own risk.

I own the official o2 foldable keyboard, and Ive had no problems with it until i used the RomKitchen to make a PPC2003 rom image.
After I install the official keyboard driver, i get this config screen:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
the software refuses to let me select "Keyboard".
When i try to use the keyboard as normal, nothing happens.
Does this mean that the XDA keyboard does not work if the xda is running PPC2003?
Try going into Start->Settings->Connections->Beam and unchecking "Receive all incoming beams". This will stop the device holding open the COM port, and should release it for the keyboard driver.
Works with my thumboard....
Cheers,

thats brilliant. worked a treat. cheers!
I've just got a topaz but it doesn't list the phone keypad. Any idea how to enable it?

My original rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506808
and my current rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527017
Both had/have Phone keypad available.
Ok for some reason after installing a few other SIPs, the phone pad sip became available in the menu
anyone know the better virtual keyboard with bigger button or iphone skin? (except better keyboard because it's too ugly)
Here you go:

This keyboard also comes with Cyanogens new rom. I don't think there's a screenshot of the keyboard, but trust me its 100x better than the android keyboard.
Also after you install don't forget to disable the android keyboard under Settings>Local & Text or it won't work.
what rom you have?

I just found out @ Engadget today this remarkable and very very good news, now lets hope its true
..... " Google's own Android lead developer is pretty definitive about the software, saying that "Gingerbread hardware needs are similar to Froyo." So if your handset can run version F, it should have no trouble handling version G... no trouble other than its own maker. "

does it work on 2.1
thanks
^ no Eclair support. Runs only on 2.2
But I find it slugish. And I see no advantages over ADW/LauncherPro. Or I am missing something?
Why don't you give it a try?
