the HTC HD2 Extended Battery (HTC-EBATHD2), which they expect to arrive in February 2010 and which promises to double battery life.
Minimum capacity of 2200mAH.

Actually, this is a good idea if you don't mind the thickness of the battery but with the Kick Stand is very cool.
Wonder when it will be available in Singapore HTC Service Centre?
So we can get double the battery life at the expense of it no longer fitting in holsters et cetera?
No thanks.
I think it looks quite cool, but I have doubts it will be out in Feb. Our HTC guy says
"Not released yet due to approval status. Hope to be able to send out more details next month."
and that is just more details not the product itself.
That kickstand looks very handy, not so keen on the thickness but I guess that's what you get with so much power.

Given that my HD2 has been known to go from 100% battery to zero in less than 9 hours without even coming out of stand-by, this can't come soon enough for me.
render looks nice, but how will it be looking in real?
If you compare the thickness of this HD2 with the extended battery to the combination of iPhone and Mophie Juice Pack then this is essentially thinner and definitely more attractive.
I would get one as soon as it arrives at Germany.
good idea with kickstand, but in my point its need a bluetooth keyboard to support, because we should touch the screen more carefully when it stand.

check this out its a bluetooth keyboard you can connect and is definitely pocketable:

i was thinking of using it in conjunction with the new extended kickstand. i think it looks awesome. i have an extended battery with my g1 which is hella chunky so this wont bother me one bit since more longevity, sleek looking and functionality (kickstand) i can see myself doing work on it more.
Cost of both: £80 (might be able to get it less for both)
I think the extended battery and kick stand will be great for watching movies, slideshows and the media player. What would make it even nicer would be for Sense to have a landscape mode as well.... Is this in the 2.xx ROM?
I want this !
I'm dreaming of that since weeks. After seeing that image weeks ago I felt immediately in love with it. ;-)
I really hope that this is gonna look as shown on that image. Once thats out there will be hopefully new cases considering the size with extended battery
Nice that they have made that battery...but there is no information about its cappacity?
Original stock battery's cappacity is 1230mah if I'm correct...what's the new one's?
Something around 2200 if I'm not mistaken.
http://www.devicewire.co.uk/official-htc-hd2-extended-battery
Yikes! Price: £51.08! That's $82 for ya'll Stateside. Seems pretty pricey to me...
And for us TMO HD2 owners...
Does anyone know if this extended battery will fit the US TMO HD2 version? I'm seriously thinking about getting one, but have my concerns about it not fitting, as some HD2 cases do not fit the TMO version...
And can someone post a link to that cool bluetooth keyboard that was posted above?
what would be even better is if it incorporated a charger just like the palm pre touchstone or the power mat

I've used Mugen batteries on Eten devices and they have worked OK, extending life between charges by about 20% with no change in use.
1) The 1800mAH bettery advertised on the link you provided is an interesting lead. It would replace the existing battery without increasing it's depth in the battery well and should increase life between charges. It may also go some way to reducing the overheating when using wifi or GPS while charging
2) the 3600mAH will obviously require a replacement battery cover to cope with increased battery depth
BUT:
3) are these genuine Mugen ? Or just fake copies from some counterfeiter in China ? The "diagram" of an X1 accompanying the 3600mAH battery is not an X1
4) suspiciously, the only contact detail is an email address for a distributor not known
I haven't pursued the email link yet - I'm not yet ready for the possibility of uncontrollable spam
Nonetheless, if you pursue this, post your results here ? Mugen batteries for the X1 is an interesting avenue
I really want to have it. Pls just drop out an email address or phone number?

Suit for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 (BST-41), for detail please email at [email protected]
Good luck
The 3600mAH battery on the picture states
Sony Erisson and not
Sony Ericsson
Haha.
Well, no wonder.... this is located in Hong Kong... not more to say about that. Just look at their website...nothing there either!
+1 is it a fake ? or a new sh't from ch'na
I didn't have good experiences with "non original" batteries T_T
anyways, that shiny silver cover is f****** ugly
The real Mugen website does not list the battery model discussed here.
My feeling is that it is too early yet for Mugen to have produced extended batteries for the X1.
Yak!
The major thing I have about my X1 that I would change if I could is the thickness.
Making it thicker even with a better battery!
I'd have to stick with their 1800mAh version.

All i have to say is, don't buy batteries from China. Ever. Period. Buy batteries from Japan, or Taiwan. Apart from other experience, I just had my open box battery die on me for my X1a, and I've had the phone less than 4 days, haha! They replaced it with a battery from China; I wept. So far it's lasted long enough to do a ROM flash....

Cool, thanks : )
Please can you let us know how you get on with it out and about. I've been thinking about a bike mount, but I can't make up my mind if the screen will actually be any good on the move... Home luck with it : )
I would never take my HD2 when I go biking, water + earth + fall => DAMN !
With your support the phone is not protected !
I have Otterbox for vtt and it very perfect ! Its full waterproof
http://www.otterbox.com/pda-cases/1900-series/
By the looks of things you do some sort of extreme biking i just do mine for pleasure and fitness so the holder i've posted is more than adequate and excellent for the price. Only real problem i seem to have with it is that it covers the loudspeaker so playing music without using headphonesis a little quiet but still can be heard in a quiet/countryside enviroment.
I wouldn't buy that op mount if I was just WALKING with the device. ESPECIALLY not an HD2.
Holy **** that otterbox is crazy tho. WHOA!
voileuxcool - does the touch screen work when you open the lid? GPS signal is ok? Did you have to make any other compromises or tweaks?
Thanks
I mean looking at that thing just makes me want to go mountainbiking! And I don't have a bike!
I have used the bike holder for about three months and it's a pretty good holder in all respects as long as the holder is tightened well. The only problem I had was I leave my bike outside exposed to the elements and one day when pulling the side back to release the HD2 it snapped...... It would be nicer if I could find a metal version some where!!!

Do you use it with HD2 or with Desire?
Is it waterproof cause i see hole for wired headset?
Also, hole for wired headset is sideway, not on the bottom like it should be for HD2 so is it possible to use wired headset while phone is in holder?
Can you answer these questions and post some pictures also?
Thanx...

Of course it's possible. Try OziCe or RunGPS or any other tracking app.
I suggest u to try with OziCE cause u can easily find 1:25000 topo charts for Slovenia which are very good for biking...

How is this relevant to the HD2?
Behold!
amazing! very very nice
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET very retro ma man cool
Cool
this has got to be one of the most innovative accessories ever =) i have to ask: where can i get one? again, well done mate!
cheers
This one must be the one and only accessory we would need for our HD2. We should name it "How to turn your HD2 into HD7".
amazing :-D can you send me one?
found some in ebay, did a search and they're around 20 or so bucks from the uk or hong kong =)
a little curious though. the iphone's back surface is more "glossy" which imo works well with the plunger. given that the hd2's back is not the same, wonder if this will affect the plunger clinging on the surface...
I wonder what I will tell security or customs at the airport when they find this?
That's probably one of the longest crap for someone to sit through and thought that a plunger is the perfect novelty idea for a phone's kickstand
Very creative
OMG, this is iGreat!!!!
You can find it on Amazon for $6-7 a pop. It's sold by Perpetual Kid. It was originally designed for the iPhone but I bit the bullet and bought it to use for the HD2 and it works perfectly.
£4.99 incl P&P form Amazon UK, just ordered one thanks
That looks great!
How long does it stand?
Because I read on Amazon.co.uk the following review:
"But I haven't been able to make this thing work for periods longer than 5 minutes. Might be because I'm using it on an iPhone 4? Slightly disappointing and not that cheap. "
Does it fall off after 5 minutes? Or does it work for hours?
shouldnt it be white?
finally got one, found it being sold in a apple store quite near (5 bucks).
the good news: it does work on the hd2 despite my previous concern on the back surface not being as glossy as that of an iphone's
the bad news: if you were to stick the plunger towards the middle, expect it to pop out in like 5 or less minutes. must be the weight that's pulling down given the "angle". thus, i wouldn't recommend plugging it to give a 30' view. i plugged it towards the side giving it a 10'-15' view and it stayed on for like 2 hours (i think).

Thanks for the update Robson!
That makes things clear for me; I don't buy it. It's to dangerous if it falls down when I put it in a train or something. I don't want to take the risk. And I also don't want to make a profession of applying a iPlunger It should just work 100%, easy.
Sad to hear because it looked like a cool thing to buy for my HD2.

I emailed Mugen and they told me it fits i9023. Of course, they're somewhat unreliable, they want you to buy.
this battery is amazing. seriously what it has in bulk it makes up for in the length of time it lasts. mine is lasting about 4 times aslong as the oem battery.
Anyone knows a good charger to charge this monster fast?
Does the battery get hotter then a normal one when used for a long period?
My Experience with the mugen battery was not so nice, i bought the 1600 mah and was not even close to stock!! Mugen and sedio in my experience have not been good! Just something tho think about! Also i think that there are better extended battery backs than what mugen has to offer as well!

Anyone else see this case from Samsung? Looks like it wirelessly charges your phone, but at the same time, looks WAY too small to have any useful capacity. I saw that too and have been trying to find some additional information on it, but haven't been able to find anything so far.
i did a little scouring and barely found anything. only some canadian shops are listing it now as a preorder. samsung's hong kong site has a news clip on it.

Silver: EP-TN920BSUG
too small to own
Yes, I noticed the case too, and think the same with you, too small to own. But I think my Note 5 don't need a case. The manufacturing processes and body designs of Note 5 are very good. I see someone upload a video in YouTube about testing the breakness of Note 5 and IPhone 6+. I believe in the results.
Did some more digging myself and was able to get a hold of someone who knew something about the case from Samsung. Here's what I found:
-It does charge the phone wirelessly and can charge from 0-100% in 2 hours.
-3400mAh battery (found from iahk's link).
-It's much more thick than the picture makes it appear. It actually ends up being a little over twice the thickness of a bare Note 5.
-The back is solid and covers the camera so if you want to take a picture you'll need to take the phone out of the case.
-There are two sets of LEDs. One on the left side to tell you if the case is on or off, and a few on top to tell you how much charge you have left in the case.
-The case charges via micro USB at the top center of the case.
-There's a dedicated power button on the case to turn it off when you don't want it charging your phone.
That's all the info I could get on it yesterday. Hopefully we'll get more images of it soon and maybe a release date.
here are few pictures. will be available only in two colors as gold and silver.

Anybody found where to buy?!
Yeah I can't find it anywhere... I there is a preorder of it online at: http://www.techshopone.ca/?item=13-30118
But god only knows when its going to actually ship. I'd rather wait until they're ready to ship before they bill me / I get locked into them. eBay has nothing.
Just checked the Samsung online accessory store - still not shown for sale there -

- although it is shown as a valid accessory in their sales-related site -

I GUESS the best way to find it anywhere and to know for sure when it is available is to keep checking the Samsung accessory store in the first link... AAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH *^@*&^#@&^%
Still haven't seen it online anywhere

Thank you, I've been waiting so long for this!
what a stupid battery pack. Wheres the hole for the camera?? It makes it a bit pointless . I wanted a battery pack for days out when I need extra juice ie taking pics during the day.
I went with Zerolemon. Its perfect and provides 2 days normal use and easily more then a day heavy use..
