If you have an unsupported SAMSUNG device, please, try the following:
1. Install the latest Auto-Rotate cab;
2. Unzip View attachment RotationSupport.zip and copy RotationSupport.exe to the \Windows folder on cell phone;
3. Open a registry editor and create \HKLM\Software\AutoRotation;
4. Under that, create DWord value Count with 0;
5. Run an application like Notes.
6. With Notes opened, tap Start and tap Auto-Rotate.
7. Tap Add, choose Notes, tap OK.
8. Test if you can rotate Notes.
9. Feedback
After successful feedbacks, i will make cabs for other samsung devices.

User Guide
First, start the application that you like to auto-rotate.

Great effort but thought you shud know somebody on the modaco forum hs already done it and am using it. For the record my OS is WM6.1 and yr program show error on start.

First of all, thanks for your feedback.
If i'am right, that app on modaco is a g-sensor implementation from strach. My effort is an app to configure current Samsung support to auto-rotate (RotationSupport.exe).
About the error, can you show me the exception? Can you make a screen-shot?
Also, can you tell me the version of your ROM?
I have the same problem. I have been using OrientationSetting for a while but it's just not working correctly. For instance, if I'm in a program and have the phone in landscape everything looks as it should, in landscape mode. But, if I switch to a different application that is also configured to autorotate, instead of remaining in landscape it autorotates to portrait! I have to then turn the phone right side up then back down to autorotate. This is no biggie with normal use but if in the car and using the phone as the media device, if I need to do anything else like take a call or whatever it rotates to portrait. Very annoying! Anyway, I hope this program can help resolve the conflict by using the built in support and not using a 3rd party mem resident app.
The error screen for me simply says Error, and some info about an unexpected error in autorotationconfig.exe, quit restart and so on. Then at the bottom it says your device isn't supported. I have an Omnia II from Verizon.
Any help would be great. Thanks

Good, seems that the way I check the device works only for GSM (GT-I8000).
In case of Verizon i920, i will appreciate if you send me a registry value.
If you have any registry editor, please send me the value at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Ident\OrigName.

Just says error and a white screen with Quit at the bottom right. I did not have .net installed. Is it needed ? OS 5.2.21006 (Buld 21006.1.5.74)

It needs at least .NET 2.0.

Hey I have an samsung device. What I'am doing wrong. I tried with 1.01 and 1.02 version. Everything the same. Could you check or give me any advice.

Hi Dulmer,
If you have an official ROM, that just means that Samsung did not implemented the Rotation Support on your device the same way they did on GT-I8000.
I'll write a better error message, BUT, that means your device is not supported.

Yes, I have the original ROM with WM6.1. Do you see a chance to change the program to the other rotation implementation? The rotation is not working in each program, except you pull out the keyboard. That's the pitty.

Hi again,
thanks for this hint. After registerring at this Samsung innovator page and downloading the right SDK for the B7160, this small program from modaco works. Thank you very much for this hint, even if the orientation-detection program is crashing sometime.
It's also intersting, that some Samsung own programs like the main menu, calendar etc. will not rotation, even if I configurred it. That's crazy, because some progs are working from the beginning (even without this tool) and some not.

Most of the ROM support the extended battery of the backpack.
The original drivers for the vga-card work, just install.
The CF-Slot will never work, due to leak of working WM5/6 drivers.

2) If u got german keyboard cab then install it
3) select weather and then select "Menu" in the bottom. then setup weather.
4) u need to customize using titanium customizer in start menu

I would like to know if you think that this new 6.5 version you cooked is stable, fast and with a good battery life, because I am thinking to try it.
What about compatibility? I read that WM 6.5 has got some problems with a lot of programs.
Is posible to disable the new today WM 6.5, in order to use the old today plugin?

WM6.5 is still beta.. so u have to test and find
I have not included Manila2d plugin. U can disable Windows default today plugin.

Hi, sorry to disturb you! This morning I tried this ROM and Jade FeatherLite WM6.1 OS 5.2.21128 Build 21127.1.6.1 (OEM 2.32.723.2) SPL 2.32.44800, but the telephone didn't work neither the comm manager.
So I installed the older one 1.40.488.2OS.20765.Build.20765.1.4.4(1.40.488.2.lean.cut.NO.manila.NO.live), I fortunately the telephone is now working.
So I think to keep this one.
But, I still have a problem regarding Internet Sharing!!

Backup All your SD Card Data.
Extract All file to root folder of your SD Card.

Tips & Tricks
Power Managment:
Disable Auto adjust backlight in Windows (Setting->System->Power->Blacklight). By disabling Auto backlight in windows will let Android control blacklight save lot of power usage.
Look & Feel:
After selecting wallpaper you will get a screen with box on wallpaper which u have selected. Click and hold on inside corner of the square box and resize fully for a good quality wallpaper.

FAQ'S (Provided by Cyclone_storm)
Please Read Faq's before posting your questions.
1. If you are booting and your SD card is not working then you will be displayed with the following text “Waiting for SD Card....”. You need to buy a new SD card or wait for a release that support your SD card.
2. When you boot Android and you need to enter a Sim code because it's locked. Then Reboot your phone go to settings, then phone and disable your your Sim lock.
3. Things that are not working are already known. No WiFi, No Bluetooth, No Power on and off button, No Power off screen button, No Camera and a few other things. These will be provided in next release.
4. All languages will come in the next release. So don't ask for a certain language. Just be patient for the next release.
5. If you want to build a New APN connection press the HOME button in APN configuration screen.
6. When APN is not working just edit the startup.txt and for example change it to live.vodafone.nl and user name and password are both vodafone. Search on you network providers site for Android phone settings, those are the same settings you can use when you create you new APN.
7. For the Dutch Vodafone users, we probably have to wait because 3G or GPRS aren't working at the moment. You can edit all you want is the startup.txt and make new APN connections all you want, but it probably won't work. If you do have the luck it works so be nice to post the exact version you are running on you SD card.
8. When you phone speaker is making strange sounds, just go to sound settings in Android and disable the: Make sound when you enable or disable a check box.
9. We know its sometimes a little bit laggy, thats why it's called an Alpha or a Beta.
10. When you want your phone to have a longer battery life just uncheck the the auto dimming box.
11. This is not a ROM so stop asking for a ROM, we are not even far enough to have these versions fully running. That means that first these Androids need to work for the full 100% before thinking of a ROM.
12. Download link is available in first post.
13. Sense UI dont support WVGA resolution. So it will not be available for blackstone.
14. If you think everything is too small for you, again edit you startup.txt and change this:lcd.density=180 into this:lcd.density=240
15. Some people can't send text messages. Wait for a release where it is possible.
16. Sometimes you can get your data connection to work. Just switch you airplane mode on and off. You should try it ones in a while when you have a new build. After it Reboot it to be sure it did or didn't work.
17. When Android doesn't work on the first boot, Delete the files that have bin made automatically such as the IMG files. After that it will probably boot if you are not having the Waiting Error. Then read my 1st option to help NOOBS sentence.
18. We know the Battery gets sucked dry in these versions, so you don't have to mention it on every 10 pages.
19. No USB is not working please wait for a release where it will work.
21. This is a Blackstone (aka HD) Version. What do you think that means. It probably means it will not work on ANY other phone.

It a Dual Boot Oemie u can try it with out any problem it runs directly from your SD Card.

No it doesn't, but you can probably find a cab file for that somewhere on xda-dev

Hi I was so excited with seeing this new rom and have installed it becoz I want a "minimal" new WM6.5 rom, exactly as you have delivered.
However, here in Hong Kong, I cannot access any GSM data services - just sms and phone ... Is it only WCDMA or?
Any ideas why the data - weather etc wont work please?

This build is for GSM phones. The reason why you cannot access GSM data services is because the ADC package and the htc connection setup package are not installed so the phone cannot detect any configure any data service by itself. So in order to get any data services, you have to configure them manually. When I say a clean rom I really mean it

I'll fix the task manager problem asap and include notification and ezinput. (for anything else just wait for my premium rom)
As to why it doesn't recognize your sim...I have no idea tbh. Make sure your sim card is clean and properly inserted
any way we can have just all the needed packages from htc, like similar to the rom which htc provides, without any unneeded packages.
So we need connection manager, fixing with task manager freeze, ezinput, htc dialer, htc notification
EDIT : oh sorry, didnt see ur quote to my post
can we also have HTC Dialer ?

the close button "X" will not work however. It seems that the task manager does not support the newer builds. So I will just remove the package and leave it up for the user to decide.

using selkmans rom right now, seems like the task manager in the new build closes applications as soon as 'X' is pressed. btw, the task manager doesnt exist in that rom

Selkmanns lite ,does not have a Task manager,but in his Cab file he has some thing known as "FdcSoft TaskMgr wm2005_3.1",but its a complicated one and does not work the regular one.
Your Rom "lite"rom is good except for the Task Manager freezing problem,have to do a soft reset to get the phone working again.

Hi ,
Try installing this Task Manager in this zip file that I have attached ,the freezing problem is gone ,and the old Task Manager on the right hand side corner of the Home screen also now appears.

if you have uspl/hspl installed, yes it should be ok, (if not let me know)
my rom is just o/s, no radio & no splash.

tbh the design evolved from a mixture of ideas, i wanted to keep it simple
a new update will be uploaded next week
(hopefully it wont crash/freeze anymore. but you will need to overclock the processor yourself )

(hopefully it wont crash/freeze anymore. but you will need to overclock the processor yourself )

Hi Rn,
it is a fast rom with all apps you need and extras. I would like to be able to modify the shortcut links on the home page, as the contacts link opens sim manager and not the contacts page. Also would it be possible to add more links?

atm no dude, its just a skin on today but im looking into some mortscripts, dont worry its on the to do list..
as soon as i release next update ill start on the skin again
(what links do you want/need on the today?)
