ok I am sorry if this has been answered but where you put "update zip" into the search dam near every thread show up.
all I am looking for is a guide on how to creat an update zip I am helping with making a theme and it would be nice to be able to send it out being able to be flashed instead of having to manually push the files.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you put it in framework-res.apk under /res/drawable_mdpi?
If you have, it should work.
Yes i have but when i goto flash it in recovery it says it is invalid or something similar.
EDIT; It says
E:Wrong Digest:
system/framework/framework-res.apk
E:Verification failed
Installation Aborted
Is there somekind of way i need to rezip it ??? because some themes and things hav _signed in Thanks in advance
I found out it does need to be signed but i have no idea how to please could i have some help with this or even better please could someone sign this to use thanks

There is no need to resign it, it will work just fine. And instead of flashing it, you can just push it with adb:

You go to android.com and download the SDK. Inside that zip is a folder called tools, and in that you have the adb.exe. Connect your phone to your computer, and type the command from my previous post.

I got it working but i changed my rom to a sence rom so i edited some different pictures and will hopefully make more gold / or different soon Thanks

I've Hard SPL'd my T-Mo Wing and have been trying different ROMS, problem is a couple of them after downloading are listed as a "file", for example: WP7_RUU 1st. It's not a zip file, 7z, rar, .nbh or anything else that I can unzip or open or xfer to the update utility to flash.
I've already flashed 4-5 ROMs already with no problems. I also know in some cases you can "change the file type". Is this an SD install file ? Bad download ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can someone steer me in the right direction ? Thanks....
im running fresh 2.1.2 and i tried to use the metamorph the other guy posted and it failed
can anyone help me go about clearing the lock bar? im very new modding and such.

It's likely the MetaMorph file you are trying to apply is not compatible with the most recent MM application, assuming you are updated to the latest version.
You can convert the .thm file to a .xml file in the zip you download using this utility, in order to get any older MM files to work again.

Can somebody help me I'm trying to do a MetaMorph theme I already made all the files including the .xml file just like it says but when I try to apply it it stays with the first file and don't apply it HELP!!!!

Next time you should try the SEARCH function before posting a new thread.
Either way you should probably check this thread out, see if your problem has been solved already. If not, post your question there.

Then you have a syntax error in your updater-script, easy as that.

Look for update zip creator.. I cant find the link. There is a wizard which helps you create a update.zip
