Whats the best and safest way to unlock my Diamond. Its currently locked to Orange UK but for some reason O2 sims work in it but nothing else. I'm currently with T-Mobile and want to use that number.
I'm willing to pay - do unlock codes do the same as software that flashes ROMs and such? I tried the free method but was and am having no joy with the last step so I'm kinda stuck with the procedures of the previous steps - 1.20 Olinex etc. Should I worry about that? I just want the latest and fastest OS on it with all recent updates I guess I'll have to do alot of reading. If you are experienced with unlocking Diamonds please advise Peaceout.

Is this any different to the free Olinex version?
Diamond SIM unlock
get the sim unlock code from the HTC toll free number. Call them and they would give you the sim unlock code. I tried this with HTC center in India and they gave me the unlock code for free..

Just tried this and they refused to do this for me. Orange want £20 for the priviledge.

I bought an locked HD2 and I have an AT&T SIM. My HD2 says this when I goto bootloader.
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
It looks like somebody has "unlocked" with HSPL. But when I insert my ATT SIM card, I still get "network locked, enter unlock code"
1. Does installing HSPL unlock the phone or just be able to flash custom ROMS ?
2. Do I need to pay somebody to get the unlock code for my HD2's IMEI ?
Thanks,
nOOb
1 roms only. Two different types of lock. No free unlock for the hd2, except if you can get one from t mo. Someone with a t mo contract can ask, or buy one online.
You might want to call TM and ask for the unlock codes, they are pretty good about this. I had an ATT locked phone and called, explained what I had and they gave me the code straight away.

Yea, you need to pay someone to unlock your device. It is network locked. HSPL helps you install custom ROMS etc.
I have a T Mobile HTC HD7. Can anyone suggest where I can get it unlocked at a reasonable price?
T-Mobile will give you the code for free, just ask.
I spoke with tmobile about the unlock code. Is it just to unlock to use any sim or will it unlock the phone to use with the new windows phone tool they have out now. I try to use the tool now and it says phone is locked, will this code unlock it. Thanks

The unlock code from T-mobile will only SIM unlock the phone (you can use with any carrier that has SIM cards).
To dev unlock the phone, you can register on create.msdn.com and use the tool there, or use something like ChevronWP7.
Hello,
i bought a htc one yesterday, but it has t mobile branding.
i already did s-off on it and flashed a ruu without branding, but still ive to enter a network code to unlock it.
if i go to to the bootloader, there is option with the name "SIMLOCK",if i click on it i get the message sd-init fail.
please how can i get rid of the branding?
It sounds like you haven't unlocked your phone for a non-T-Mobile SIM card. You have to get a code for that. There are sources online that can provide it for a few dollars.
where can i get them?
Hi guys,
I am writing because I have a friend in need and xda was more than helpful to me in the past. I have Samsung Note 2 but my friend owns HTC One European(probably) and the phone has a sim lock on it. It is bought in Bosnia and Herzegovina and he came to Austria to live now and phone is of course, not usable. Can you point me please to some unlock methods, free or not? Ive been searching a bit online and all I can find is unlock for HTC One Sprint. He has 4.4.2 now and update is available.

There is many threads here regarding sim unlock, use the search option. Essentially, he will need to purchase an unlock code i.e from ebay (cost between 10-20$ US). Then when inserting the new sim card, he will get prompted to enter the sim unlock code. The phone must be on stock sense rom to use the unlock code. (some users reported successfully sim-unlocking their devices using arhd sense rom)

We have already done that. Code isn't working actually. Is there any way of determining the exact model of it? I've read that some codes don't work for Telenor Serbia or VIPnet Croatia. It's not the network from which he has bought it but it's also not possible that M:tel from Bosnia changed it's model somehow.
I try to unlock my Sprint M8,I tried T-mobile and AT&T sim card.
But my phone didn't likes youtube video, My phone didn't ask me about the unlock code. It just simply tell me the sim card is Invalid.
I have tried to use the unlock helper to unlock it, but it just unlock the internation lock.
I still want to unlock the domestic carrier lock.
Is it the ROM problem?
My phone use the Android 4.4.3,and it is S-OFF.
Please help me!
If you're trying to unlock your phone to use it on another domestic carrier, you're not going to be able to do that. SIM unlocking will work for international use.
