Hi all, new XDA IIs user. already installed intellipad and phonepad. Problem as below:
1) The original Caller ID (photo contacts ver.1.17) hangs and could not preview. I have installed the ver. 1.2. but problem still there and two program seems exit at the same time.
a) how to uninstall the old version?
b) how to solve the hang problem?
2) i careless installed the extunlocker exe files in 'storage' but dunno what to do with it and was not able to uninstall, please advise.
3) im in Hong Kong, according to my spec stated in signature, any upgrade needed to be done?

Hi,
I've tried to upgrade my device. I've downloaded the upgrade file from HP web site but when I tried it returns message that languages of the package is different (my WM is in Italian and I've downloaded the upgrade file for the Italian version).
Furthermore, I've another problem.
the navigator software didn't find maps, but map are on SD card.
Could you please suggest any solution?

I searched and tryed a lot till getting this to run.
Finally I extracted the needed files from the MoDaCo Custom Rom for Nexus One "r14 with default MoDaCo additions" and installed them with the same instructions and it works on my Nexus One with cyanogenmod
To download just search the Forum for: 27/Apr r14 - MoDaCo Custom ROM for Nexus One *Chinese Input*
The needed Files are:
system/app/Jbed.apk
system/lib/libjbedvm.so
For all others which wanted to install Jbed on an Android 2.1 devices such as the Nexus One, i think it should work as it did for me
I also uploaded the needed files but since i'm new to the forum i can't post URL's maybe i can send them via PM or else email just ask

Hi Ankit,
After installing Jbed, Will i be able to use the mobile banking softwares provided by ICICI bank and Citibank which are generally meant for windows mobiles or more generally for Java phone.

Can anyone tell me how to install this on my Desire HD??
I copied the two files to the root of the sdcard, installed the apk, but when I open the jded app, always facion force close process...
What is the .so file for?
First of all you need a rooted phone!
After that you need to put the files where i mentioned:
system/app/Jbed.apk
system/lib/libjbedvm.so
You can do this with some kind of root-explorer or with the android-tools on your PC via USB (command "adb push file target" or similar - google for it)
This "jbed" work on every 2.1 android phones? (SE X10i)
And after that can I install .jar/.jad files?
I had several jar games and apps from my previous symbian phone. Can I use them in SE x10 mini with jbed?

Its working with sbbmobile on a hero with cm6 here.
With my N1 and froyo roms its crashing all the time.
Fortunately sbb finally decided to develop an android app till march 2011.

P.S - I separately installed Jbed 1.20 android 2.1 java emulator successfully but crashing after run
problem solved with root explorer....
but, screen crashes on vertical orientation...
okay with horizontal orientation though maximum apps getting FC ... any fix???

use root explorer open system in r/o (butten upperleft corner)
Hi, I had problems with the kies from day one-
at first for few days it's just showed me connection window,
after that, I succeed to connect one time (didn't change nothing) and it came back to the same condition.
Then, after reinstell kies and the drivers the auto-reset problem started
I found a weird file in skyfire(browser) folder, deleted him and the auto-reset stopped but not solved.
Now, when I connect the device to kies i get messege "device not supported by kies" while the phone shows "connected" with the usb picture.
I'm using windows xp home edition, kies version 1.5.1.10074_2,
firmware 2.1-update1, baseband version I9000xxjf3.
Please, if someone know how to fix it I will be thankful.
iv got the same problem.. my phone connects to the main window in Kies.. and i can use all those things from main screen beside the APPS.. when i click on Apps icon.. it loads the apps and i get that message your phone is not suported.. bla bla.. and in that list of phones are only 2 types of phone.. those Wave type.. ? any answers?
btw im from Romania.. i do think cuz is not officialy suported or updated for my country? could that be the reason.. im looking for an answer aswell.. pls help!!
Kies can be very awkward to use
If you are using any other Home screen launcher other than TW Launcher - that can cause problems. Switch back to TW while you transfer things.
Also check to see if you are running the latest version of Kies
Apparently Odin is a better program to connect your pc to your phone but i haven't tried it yet so can't comment.

Kies doesn´t support Android Apps for now, only Bada OS (Wave) and i guess Symbian too. That is why you cannot choose any of the apps in the list from Kies and the SGS won´t show up to select.
The only Samsung Apps you can download are in the Samsung Apps App preinstalled on the Phone. There you get Asphalt and some other stuff for free.
I manage to connect my galaxy with kies every time when i umount sd card trough settings. After that kies recognized my phone. But i have other issue. After my sd card is unmounted then for example i can transfer videos only to internal memory and when i mount sd card again and when i want to transfer that video from internal to sd card using file manager app it just video doesn't play. What that could be? So video is payable when it is on internal memory, but when i move that video on sd card using file manager app on the phone i always get massage 'u can not play that video'. Please help?
I am new to all of this, I am now in Germany from the US and I am trying to unlock my Samsung Fascinate Galaxy S Hardware I500.04, Build #SCH=I500.ED05, Kernel2.6.32.9, Firmware 2.2.2. I don't have any internet connections but I want to just find a sim card for my phone I have activated USB debugging and used Super One Click to root my phone, it installed super user and then I applied galaxy s Unlock and then got a message that busybox had a problem and to fix it...but I have no clue how to proceed.
It initially created a folder on my phone Galaxy S Unlock and a sub-folder called efs but I am not sure what I should copy to it and how I can actually see all the documents and files when I am stuck using windows vista x64. I tried installing an android explorer program on my computer but the install failed...some config. issues.
Explorer is how I loaded the app programs on my phone by simply copying them to the download folder and once there, simply installed it but still get the same message concerning busybox...I have read the forum but I am not following too well can someone please help me? I forgot to mention I installed z4Root too. I only have access to any downloads on my PC no phone service at all. Can someone set me on the path to success?
