o ok thanks but these pices of software are not new they have been on the net for about 5 months now
but does any one know if ms are planing any pie or poket media updates or betas

They sure will b available with new windows either WM 6 or WM 5.0 SE preferably as code named crossbar AFAIK.

dont supose you know where i could possalb find a beta or alpha release of crossbar for some early testing

NES Emulator on Diamond?

I'm wondering if there is any NES emulator for the Diamond like the one for iPhone, so you could use the touchscreen to navigate.

there is a emulator for nes but i dont know if it works on diamond. its called pocketNES, google it. i had it on my kaiser with a lot of roms like mk2,streetfighter etc. but i dont use it anymore and havnt tryd it on my diamond. but everthing you need is on the net.
But wait , i found it on my pc. heres the cab.
I also have the cab of the superNES emulator. here you go
I posted 2 zips with supermario3 and tekken2 in it for people to test, just unzip and put the .nes file on your internal storage,program will find it.

tested it, doesnt work on my diamond!!
It starts but, if you open a rom it hangs and want to send a feedback to microsoft.

Also you might have trouble with missing hardkeys. I have it on my old device and it only works fine with the hardkeys. Touchscreen always recognized only one touch at a time (which is of course not enough for Super Mario...) - but may that works now

I've only tried PicoDrive, which is a megadrive(Genisis) emulator, plays everything perfectly as long as the sound is off

Yes i had picodive in my 7710, it was cool.

DailyPlay : Dailymotion for the Diamond (VGA)

DailyPlay allow to search, download and stream video (using Tcmpm or another player) from DailyMotion.
It is VGA only, for now.
This is a french version, but it is easy to understand,
In next version i ll support translation

Need your help! DVD burning software, what do you use?

What do you use for burning movie files from your computer onto a DVD for DVD players?
I'm trying to burn a movie (video file, I'm not cloning a DVD) onto a DVD so it should work in any DVD player. My movie is already in the widescreen format 16:9. I used NeroVision Express to burn the movie onto the DVD. The Menu was not widescreen, it was 4:3, then I clicked play, and the movie appeared to be widescreen, until I actually fullscreened the movie. You could clearly see it was 4:3, because there were black bars on the side (see my awesome pic!). There were also the black bars on the top and bottom of the video making it appear widescreen, all it was, was a widescreen movie with a big black border surrounding it.

wen u use nero you can alter the aspect ratio its in the optons bit at the bottom when you ad you videos

Nero 8.1.1.0 is the best burner, at least for me
this version is special for Vista

Stream from IP (internet ) Camera?

I have an IP Camera setup. It supports 3GPP, MJPEG, and MPEG4... how can I get it to work on WM6.5?
I have tried the Streaming Media app in the builds and it will not connect.
I have tried rtsp://<ip address> & http://<ip address>

Are you saying that the Streaming Medai app that comes in the ROMs adoes not work?
I'd think the chefs would not include it if it did not?
I'd like to use that app if it works and not install something new.

Why ask for help if you won't take the answer. The guys that make these roms don't test that sort of thing.

should I assume that you're also using the port after the ip address and that the port is open in your router?

I'm happy to have an answer but you never said the built-in Streaming Media player did not work - which I'd prefer to use if it does since it is already in the ROMs.
A google search leads to several forums which say the HTC Streaming Media player does. I was hoping for people that have used it to post some info on it.
The ONLY thread I could find on this site discussing it is very old, and for a different phone, but says the Streaming Media app does work...
