Very nice skins indeed! I like it!!
For the contacts and MRU, I have also done a 3x5 instead of 4x4. Though it is 1 less cell (15 vs 16) the layout for the 3x5 is very much cleaner.
Check this out.
From your skin I see that you are also using SPB Phone Suite. I believe someone had done up a Diamond skin (qVGA though) in the SPB2.1 theme thread. You may want to check that out.
As to your question on the time color, perhaps you can pm Greatbal? He is the guru in SPB MS2.1 theme and skin.

no5 looks a bit photoshopy...like the window when you run newer versions of photoshop,but it looks good
are you placing backgrounds in a folder or do you use an app to change them
if just placing would it be more simple to post only backgrounds instead of whole themes

another skinner for i780! I agree that g00ndu has started it and I am very greatful for his great work. In addition, since he/she is very helpful, other skinners (like yourself and bobsbbq) have started making other skins.
I believe that there is also another skinner here on the forum (although he made skins in native mode (320x320 and without RealVGA)) who deserves respect.

His name is Jolpiej, or something like that. He was skinning for the 240 x 240 Treo screen, which can be used in the i780 without RealVGA (remember 96dpi vs 128 dpi).
Go such for the SPB MS 2.1 Skin thread, and search for square theme, you will be able to find him.
Unfortunately, believe he is busy nowadays, and dun see him much on line.

I won''t go into details anymore, but it's not so easy to change qvga theme into a square theme, with or without realvga.
You will need to edit the xml files, which is found in the qa_layout.dat.
You will also need to do some photoshop (example, changing the icons, background from 240 px to 320 px.
The difficult part is where to begin. I remembered how I did it. First off, get a theme and run it. Check where the out of positions are and also take note of the different icons. Also, study the xml structure, it contains a lot of pixel coordinates. I did not change the structure of the xml files, only the coordinates in the beginning. Only when I am familiar with the structure that I begin to change some of the settings.
Also start with the easiest xml file to edit, to gain confidence. I believe it should be the Home.xml.
Try it, as a saying say " Rome wasn't build in a single day". Be prepared to soft reset many times, I believe my was about more than 200 times before I finally managed to do it.

Android Skin for WAD2 QVGA

I have created a Theme of Android.
The theme that I have created is originary in spanish but it is easy to translate.
Only Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 (No WA3 needed).

Wisbar Advance Desktop. Not freeware.

The new WAD2 is pretty awesome. Check out Torx iPhone or LCARS PADD on youtube. It's nuts how different the themes csn be.

I got it to work (downloaded one off the WisBar website), and I see it isn't editable? Why is this? Can it be made edible?

edit: I suppose that your are using weather icons not posted here. I have used some of the Diamond, and now looks great.

I take it you're using the 'old style' Today screen, and not M2D or the Titanium panel...? Unfortunately, that is a problem with the newer WM 6.5 beta builds, it started happening in build 23*** I think. I'm still looking for a solution to that..

You can switch by going to Start > Settings > Personal > Home, then switch to the 'Items' tab and select 'Windows Default'. That will enable the Titanium / CHome Panel.
On the left is the 'old style' home screen (doesn't have very much on it, but you can choose a bunch of different components for it; Tasks, Messaging, etc.), on the right is the newer 'Titanium' or 'CHome Panel':
Note: If you have any questions more detailed than this, please do a search on XDA-Dev and you'll see a lot more information..

The third post now has a couple anime wallpapers as well, I really wasn't sure which ones to choose... Most of them have really light backgrounds, so they don't really work too well with white text.

Okay, some infos about the QVGA version.
I had some conversation with drew2000 that he can help me with the smaller version. I tried, he tried, we failed. The main problem is, that a QVGA device is quite to small to have good and high quality graphics. Resizing the button isn't such a thing but the topbar and the font. SO FOR ALL OF YOU:
THERE WILL BE NO QVGA VERSION FROM ME OR DREW2000
BUT
You are allowed to resize it for personal use only
You are not allowed to share it here or elsewhere on the internet or spreading over PM
If you are good with QVGA skinning and you taking the challange to make it for QVGA (not resizing) feel free to PM me.

Sorry tcchuin, I lost my files of the black version after a crash and another thing which decided me stop working on the black skin was the unreadability in light surroundings.

Beautifull skin! I have a problem though.. getting a Installation of ....... was unsuccessful. Cootek Touchpal 4.0 installed.

I toggle between Swype and Touchpal and to date the best Touchpal skin i used was Ezi-input (green) as its such a clean finish, it didnt look like an addon like some others but your's is the same.
It looks like a standard Touchpal skin, not an addon. Very simple and clean finish, great work mate.

Well it shows. I tried to skin it ages ago but my skill level is just a little beneath yours lol. Even i wouldnt use my own skin
I could imagine the frustration of skinning every little thing but the result is well worth it. Ill be using touchpal more often now vs Swype just to use it

[Skin] PhonEx Post-apocalypse WVGA :: v1.2 added ::

OK, I've been in a post-apocalyptic mood lately, and, after the taskbar, I've skinned PhonEx.
In developing the skin, I focused on the dialer, so other areas aren't yet complete, but they'll work for now (my basis was an Android skin I picked up over at 4pda.ru, so the remaining "unskinned" elements are from there, and I take no credit for that).

it seems my prediction about fallout theme failed =/
not because of poor quality (i haven't been able to try it yet) but i couldn't find a way to install it. i put the .ist file under "\Program Files\Iconsoft\Phonex\skins" folder but phonex didn't recognize it.. any idea why?

Umm, it might be that only PhonEx v2.2 recognizes it... What version are you using?
The skinning program I used has an option for creating a skin for either v2.2 or v2... I think I saw skinning programs for earlier versions (~v1) somewhere, I might try using that...

I have v2.2 but this might be the solution for me.. i am using omnia, which is wqvga, i just didn't think that resolution might be a problem

Ah, a rusty/post apocalyptic theme suite would be great! But the work involved, maybe one day Right now I wish I could skin HTC Messaging, but I can't yet figure out which files cover what...
Anyways, the skin should work on your TP, I think The skinning program has an option for creating either a (W)QVGA or a (W)VGA skin... So i guess it could work either way, try it...

To install, just copy the .ist file to ''\Program Files\Iconsoft\PhonEx\skins'' and select the skin in the PhonEx options.

Hehehe, i wish i could do that from theme builder, but you have to resize the pics yourself and then build the skin again.
