How do I change it to Fahrenheit? If you click on the weather, it brings up the google weather app, which is correctly displayed in Fahrenheit.... I can't stand the metric system!!! Please help!
Sorry I can't help but if there isn't a setting then replace with a 3rd party weather app. Plenty out there.
And this reminds me to check out super-d. Someday the last non metric country will come around to the new century. The metric system doesn't bother me, me likes it.

Hello, I made some months ago ava for world wide the PhotoWeather app on windows phone 7.
My ideia was to make app for a quick view of the weather like if it was a widget since i am used to my android based widget home screen.
To fill the gaps of such a simple app, I decided to add some photos from panoramio related to the place.
My first problem was to find a good free service provider that could cover all world, and I must say it as hard to find and still I don't believe the actual solution is the most accurate.
It's very difficult to find a good weather provider with accurate info that supply that same for free.
My live tiles are also obtained via the service provider, they are very basic as they are the weather condition from the last retrieved location.
When microsoft start's supplying the weather info from bing api I guess I will switch to that service.
mean while, if anyone can help me with a good provider.? thanks
PS: Really I'm not advertising my app (since didn't followed the template). It is quite old now, and I guess it achieved the most of the downloads possible lol.
I have new apps coming out, and those I intend to advertise, if possible.
Thanks

I have a couple of niggles with Blinkfeed that I just can't figure out. I'm in the UK and I have it set up for UK sources. I have also chose football as a topic but not under US sports, so why do I still see the odd post about American Football? Is there something I can do or is it just a problem with Blinkfeed?
My second issue is that I keep seeing the awful blue boxes with tips, on highlights I see it yet I have topics selected ... How can I stop them from showing? They are usually about getting started and selecting topics and services, even when I already have
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
EDIT: Anybody know which png is responsible for the background of widgets on Sense and where it is located? I'm looking to make the background transparent for the HTCMusic widget.

These blue boxes are quite annoying I totally agree. My phone is too new to risk rooting and leaving a ridiculous "RELOCKED' flag in plain view so I thought I'd give blinkfeed a fair crack, the idea is pretty good IMHO. So I choose US as location so I can get Gizmodo and Engadget feeds. All good so far. I've noticed however a couple of things though:
Choose:
a) Highlights - you get a few scrolls downwards, then those stupid blue boxes (even if you force stop and clear 'HTC Get Started' and 'Tips & Help' in Apps) - they are always there! I did what you asked blue boxes, I got started, now sod off!
b) Choose a topic - neverending scrolling with no blue boxes, but strangely if I choose 'Gadgets' as a topic, not a single post from Gizmodo or Engadget?!
Kind of cool but quite confusing so I much prefer 'Google Currents' app where you can add any sources you like plus it has a really neat navigation structure. Of course the nature of Blinkfeed is different from a standard app but it's no hardship to me opening an app when I want news rather than needing it there all the time on the homescreen.
Anyway, just my initial impressions.
Get news application into blinkfeed
Hi
I have downloaded a couple of news applications and they appear on my home screen.
How do I get them into blinkfeed?
I cannot see them with the other news applications pre-installed so I cannot choose them to appear.
How is it done?!!
Regards
I'm getting different cities when I load weather. I put long/lat in and still, nada. I must be doing something wrong with the long/lat. I'm in Fredericton NB, Canada. Help!!!
Plus, what's the best weather app?
I'm not sure about the weather location issue. Is it still close? Some apps are just not as accurate and maybe the latitude isn't working. As for the best weather app, I found Glance to be most accurate with location and temperature. This is when I chose Glance to use Yahoo Weather. However, some of us have been discussing in my other thread that Glance reduces the battery life to about 3 days. Although, this might be the same for all weather apps.

I've had it happen in most weather apps I install. One location came up in Europe when I typed in my long/lat. LOL!
Glad to hear it's not just me. I live in Lancaster, PA but so far the weather has shown me San Jose and Las Vegas. I can never fix it, but it goes back on its own at some point
Sent from my SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Same here - Salt Lake City - and my weather is always off. I really really want this capability but it hasn't been accurate in either Glance or Canvas. I tried the Canvas forum and got ignored so there's no help there. BTW, I use Canvas because, except for this, it allows me more leeway on designing how I want my watch to look. Like it better than Glance.
Hi everyone,
When you click on the weather card in the Google now feed (swipe left from standard Homescreen), do you get the redesigned (since 2016) colourful weather app or the old style?
I get the latter and it's bugging me. Some old posts in a Google product forums indicate it has something to do with webview which is now integrated in chrome, but I haven't found way to activate the new design, yet.
Cheers,
Armchair
I want also the new weather, is there a way to get it `?=

It seems to have something to do with the language setting. When I set the system language to English it works. Also, with the original language it works when triggering the weather app from the "at a glance widget".
I really thank you, I search everywhere for a solution to this damn issue, I have two Huawei phone with EMUI 8 and with the same issue. I also had a chat with Huawei support (I'll avoid to mention what they told me, for Huawei support sake), then simply switching the language to english, antering the app, then switching back to my language, everything was fixed.
Actually now I also noticed also that I have a different view than used to have. Is the frog weather the new design? I used to have the frog and now its gone.
I'm sure many of you are aware of ongoing issues we've endured in the beta program with the Google app, mainly the "At A Glance" widget. As you may recall, this "system" widget that claims a decent sized chunk of our Homescreens fell to disrepair awhile ago as it began it's descent with the deletion (or MIA, at least) of current weather, leaving many of us "AAAAA" believers with a lonely & unwanted date stamp gimmick.
Good News, at first glance it appears the "at a glance" issues have been dealt with and you'll be pleased to know your homescreens have been returned to their upright & comfortable postions! And again, we thank you for choosing XDA...enjoy the remains of your day!
P.S. You will also find some new weather widgets, under the Google tab!
P. S. S. Do you think we could solicit the Google app development team to include the locale with the current weather temps? (I already sent a request over, for what it's worth).
