Adding 2.1 in call screen to 2.5 sense - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

I just switched to the new 2.5 sense leaked rom for the rhodium and I was hoping there is a way to port the old in-call screen to this new rom. Having the calendar and notes buttons was really nice.
Anyway, I posted this in the general forum but it doesnt seem to get much play there, and I dont suspect it will after thinking about it a bit. This is more of a ROM issue, and since there was no chef for this rom, I was wondering if the fine folks here who are more intimately familiar with ROM modification, could help me out a bit.
Thank you in advance.

Manila?

SO...here i am...another newbie with another question which probably has been answered a thousand times... what can you do...
Anyway...just had to hard reset my HTC Touch Diamond and thought that maybe i should freshen it up a bit...ive read that there is a "new" update for touch flo...is it called manila or am i misinformed?
And how the hell am i supposed to install it on my precious mobile?
Is there a thread with a tutorial? Would greatly appreciate it if anyone could answer these questions...feel free to call me newb or slow!
TF3D...
Manila is HTC's 'project' name for TF3D (TouchFlo 3D). You can't officially get a newer version of TF3D without updating your ROM. Having said that, there are some manila mods knocking around this forum, but they're taken from Touch HD, or Touch Diamond 2 (work in progress).
The best thing to do is just make sure you're using a recent ROM, either official or cooked - that way you'll get the latest manila. It won't be any different than the one your device came with, though it may respond better (ie. faster)
Read the 'Themes, applications and software' & 'Diamond ROM development' forums, they will give you the most information
wiki - http://wiki.xda-developers.com/ for all such info
thx a lot guys! i just downloaded the ROM update from the support page...
it actually feels a little smoother now! and finally a good solution to the answer and hang up buttons when the phone rings... hated to hang up when the phone isnt out of the pocket yet

Manila 2.5 help

Hi there
im currently using Unoffsv11 ROM and loving it. one thing i miss about the other ROMs is the Manila especially moving clouds! hehe. ive asked Spike about it but i dont think he likes Manila so will never make one. and it wouldnt be 100% clean anymore.
can anyone point me in the right direction as to where or if its possible to get just the Manila 2.5/ 2.1 cab and just install it so i can place it on my today screen.
tried searching but i think my searchings skills are rather lacking. cant seem to find it. just alot of great roms that have cooked manila into it.
thank you for your time in reading this request
hi
it's not that easy. there is a cab floating around with a old manila-version.
manila2.5 needs many other things to be cooked in. so...
you have to pick a rom with manila (sense) cooked in.
okay
thank you for your reply

Clean, bloat-free, WM6.5 ROM?

So this is my first post, and I'm not sure how "okay" it is to ask these questions here, but I figured it'd be fine since I didn't read anything in the rules that said otherwise.
Basically I came from a Blackjack2 running WinMo 6.1, and I loved the how fast and fluid it is. While I love the Rhodium's interface, it is at most times bulky and hard to navigate/unresponsive/slow.
I'm looking for a SIMPLE WinMo 6.5 ROM that has a nice home screen where I can see time, weather, missed calls, and calendar events, but I don't need the "taskbar" down south, I think it's called Sense (or TouchFlo3D?). I find that most of HTC's "overlays" for the WinMo 6.5 apps are slow and bulky. I can barely text using their texting app.
Is there any ROM out there like this? I looked through the first 5-6 pages and found nothing like what I'm mentioning.
I tried the Energy UltraLite but it seems like I have..nothing with this rom? I can't even figure out how to get into my phone to dial numbers.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm still getting acquainted with this phone and the details of how WinMo and custom ROMs work

That Energy rom is meant more for people that just want to load Android on top of WinMo. Try the ROM in my sig if you're willing to try Sense again. It's very responsive. The same chef, b16b, has a ROM with Titanium only and is reportedly working on a 'clean' ROM as well.
the rom development forum is for topics concerning development of roms only, not questions concerning which one is best or the way you like them. there are several "titanium" or chome roms here in the forum that dont have manila, you should try some im sure you will find one you like thread closed.

which 6.5.x/Sense 2.1 ROMS are still being supported? Anyone still using them?

I'm wondering who is still developing ROMs with the latest versions of Windows (6.5.3, 6.5.5, etc) but Sense 2.1. I'm trying to resist the fancy 2.5 beause it seems to be a lot less legible for someone with poor vision. Serge had been promising a new release but has not mentioned it in months. NRGZ28 makes one but shows no images of it. I'm not sure who else is still working in these.
Anyone out there still favoring these? If so, what are you using?
Thanks
The NRG ROM is pretty good, you should try it out. I would like to see more Chefs build 2.1 ROMs too though.
I think the only WM6.5 Sense 2.1 ROM being currently supported and updated is Energy ROM. I am using it and its awesome.
I think Sense 2.5 has more problems than benefits as compared to Sense 2.1, and more chefs should support Sense 2.1...
Anyways cheers to NRG, I am a big fan and supporter
Im also using NRGZ28 titanium with manila 2.1 current version (June19 with start button on top). I looked for a while for a 2.1 built but couldnt really find any with good info on the rom. I wish he would post more pictures of the rom and describe what programs are installed you know more info for every one to read rather than jumping the ship to find out what the rom has
Sergio just said he will update the 2.1 ROMs soon
Any of the NRG users using the 6.5.x ROMs with the menus on the bottom?
I am, and it is freaking fantastic. Its beautiful, and I get really good battery life with it, not to mention a ton of memory. I would highly recomend it to someone looking for sense 2.1 6.5.x ROM.
Hollywould, what ROM are you using exactly?
I am using Energy ROM 23569 Sense 2.1 June 19 build. Is that what you wanted to know?
Yeah. It is. When I go to his thread, there's only the 2.5 builds to download from... Where can I get that specific rom? [sorry, I'm new to this lol]
If you go under Titanium ROM Build at the bottom of the first post, it'll be there. To save you time, here's the link.

Does anyone know of a solid 6.5.3 Titanium only ROM that also has the ATT keyboard.dll baked in and also doesn't have much in the way of icon/status bar customization? I'm looking for just a solid, fast, tons of free memory 6.5.3 Rhodium build that is ready to go for ATT.
Any mod available that displays multiple calendar items on your today screen with Sense 2.1?
In that case I would be interested to

NRG's has it. if you go to "Windows Start Key" -> Tools -> "Carrier Provisioning" will give give you 2 ATT & 2 T-Mobile setup options, turning one on will set up the keyboard properly.

That sets most of the normal keys but doesn't map all the function keys or OK button. It's a pain to use the keyboard mapper to fix this. I prefer to have one that is built especially for the ATT hardware out of the box to avoid this.

jacko's smartmove rom
check out jackos smartmove rom, its 2.1 and very stable and very fast!
i am still currently using Miri WM 6.5 21885 :: MANILA 2.1 :: V 7.0 http://www.xda-developers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=552641&
it has served me exceedingly well over the whole time. it is discontinued and is outdated in terms of its build number (a great pity) but for all intents and purposes is a great stock feel ROM with heaps of RAM, stability and speed. I tried looking around for a more recent ROM to replace this but could not find one that appeared to retain the stock HTC feel. Hope this helps
