Hi , I have a Tmobile g1 that I took overseas to India on vacation, it is unlocked and I have an Aircel connection that I am using
I also have their feature known as "Pocket internet" which has unlimited Edge internet
I just dont know exactly what settings to enter in the phone to make it work... Aircel isnt helping me ...

I have a problem here
Last month I bought an ATT Tilt and unlocked the sim that I can use it internationally
the sim unlock does its job, however, I can't seem to use the GPRS in other country even though I've set it up correctly (even had representative from the provider to help me)
so..can anyone help me with this ?

I just got back from Germany and Ukraine. My AT&T sim roamed on 3g fine in Germany. In Ukraine I put in a kyivstar sim. My HTC Kaiser did not recognize and auto configure the sim for data. (the phone worked just fine with no adjustments). I went to the kyivstar website and got their settings for GPRS (www.ab.kyivstar.com) and entered them manually in settings/connections/connections section. GPRS then worked just fine. I was surprised Kyivstar did not auto config since they have been the largest provider in Ukraine for 10 years. When I came back to the states my AT&T sim card powered up and reconfigured itself to 3g just fine also. Sorry but I do not know why yours is not working
i have the same problem with you , i bought att tilt from ebay a month ago. The sim lock works still but after a month i can not connect gprs. Can someone help me ?

Hi guys. Many Tmobile users encounter the same thing when using the Tilt. Locate the cab file in your Windows folder that Disables Hidden Proxy and run it. Then confirm your GPRS settings for your provider. That should clear the problem and allow connections.
did you try deleting the proxy in the registry?
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings]
look for the line that says
"EnableAutoDetect"
and delete it.

Hi. I just bought a new galaxy s from vodafone, but when i tried to use a 3g data connection it just won't work. it works fine with wi-fi connection but if i turn that off (or if i don't use it at all) the phone just won't connect to the internet. i've double checked the apn settings...is there an option to turn the data connection on and i'm just not seeing it? please help...
sometimes it helps to restart the phone
or switch it to airplane mode then back

i've read other posts for other type of connection problems and i did what u said...nothing...it just doesn't even try to connect...
do you have any other SIM card from friends/family that you can try?
just wondering if it's related to your SIM account, or if it's defective phone
if it is working over wifi there is still something wrong with apn settings or your sim card.. i doubt it is the phone itself.. or you are in an area with no 3g edge.. or wrong phone ie t mobile vibrant on bell or att network

I would like to thank all of u who tried to help me... when i was at work today i've changed the sim card with another one with internet on it and it worked so i called vodafone and stuck to my oppinion that it was their fault and finnaly i came across a guy who saw that my account settings were not correct. now it is working. thanks..

I have just comes back from abroad to France, and rush to get a 3G Sim card from Orange france
Under wireless and network
Mobile and Network
Network operator the search engine do find "Orange F"
when I select that operator I get the following message
Yoursim card doesnot allow a connection to this network
I do have 4/4 bars for the phone connection
my modem installed is JK3
Can anyone know why I can not select orange and then get the 3G on my tablet ??

Yes got all checked with the warning on data cost etc...
I tried to dial a code to receive SMS back with data consumtion and I could not send the SMS neither call a number
so even the voice is not working !!

I have finally a Data only 3G simcard, it works on a phone and on a demo galaxy tab in orange shop
but can't get it to work on my tab
can still get internet with the voice and 3G of my wife!!

No, you need to change a setting.
Google "apn setting orange france broadband"
Go to settings, wireless networks, mobile networks, access point names,
You will have to add the settings you got from google: menu, add new access point.
Fill in the values. Menu, save, reboot.
When the tab starts, go to that apn and select it. Wait a few, then go back one screen, and select your sim card carrier.
You could also go to the demo tab and copy the settings into your tab, or from your wifes phone.
Found out that
IF the wifi is ON then the 3G is OFF
IF the wifi is OFF then the 3G is ON
so working now, end of game

Hey guys. I just activated 3G today and got a confirmation from my service provider( Vodafone India) that my data plan is active. When i select mobile network i get the H symbol(HSDPA/HSUPA) along with the arrows next to my signal meter. Although there is a lot of flashing going on with the arrows the net still doesn't work. Any idea why??

You may need to go into Settings -> Wireless & Networking and check the APN settings.

Thanks a loT!! I had to change the setting from Vodafone Live to Vodafone Mobile Connect. But now i seem to have a new problem. I keep losing the normal phone signal completely at times and have to switch to and back from aeroplane mode or restart the phone to get the signal again. This is the first time this is happening. Any idea why? And this is happening at home where i used to get all the bars( Till 3G started working) Thanks in Advance

I have a T-mobile Z3 that is currently unlocked to work for my AT&T provider. I am able to make calls and send regular text messages with no problems. My problem is that I am only able to access the Internet via WiFi only and not 4G or even 3G. I am usually always around WiFi but for times when I am in need to use the mobile web, I am unable to. What are the proper settings for this? I understand that the T-mobile version does not share the same LTE band as AT&T so that's ok with me but 4G or 3G is ok with me. I have tried to APN settings provided by AT&T but it does not work. I am leaving on a trip in a few days and would like to have this working before I leave. I am sure someone out there has the answers I seek. I hope that I have posted this in the correct forum. If not, please feel free to move it as it might help me to get my question answered. Thanks again for your help everyone!
After doing more further research, I found the settings that work for my phone. I was just about to sell this phone and get a Note 4. Not anymore now that I got this to work. Thanks again everyone!

How did you get this to work? Help?
The phone was only on a temporary unlock and I am unable to use it for cellular service anymore but I went to this website to get all the settings to make it work for AT&T.
