i tried to make something good with spb mobill shell as i saw vostradamus made an option to make tile panel alike but couldnt figure out how to put a background correctly and incorporate every thing so it look good and do link between !!! maybe someone with some spb skill could help us on that to start on with something !!!

Why don't you add (REQ) in the tread title, as obviously you are not developing this, but are "LOOKing FOR A DEVELOPER" to do this for you.
Don't confuse other with misleading title, as I see someone already asked for a cab to download.
Also, I don't see much use for this tread, because if someone indeed decided to make a WP7 theme, then they would open their own tread (as we can already see a couple of them)
Further more, not only are you spamming your own tread with repost: (can you tell me what the difference is between post no. 1 and post no. 5?), you are also spamming the SPB 3.5 Theme tread with the same re-post (2 or 3 times).
So again, to all that venture here due to the misleading title:
There is no theme. masrterk just posted random jpg's from the Internet. He is looking for someone to make a WP 7 Theme for him.
I might give this a go, a lot of this will not be possible, but it will be fun trying it out

and the Action Screen / Comm Manager Colours. This is the first version of my SPB Shell 2.0 skin.

How did you get the backgrounds to work? That's the one thing I'm still struggling with. In particular, how did you create the background.bmp and background_m.bmp?
Now its getting even more exciting seeing threads like this. Hoping more people start making some insanely sexy skins making it easy for "not so mobile savvy" people like me to easily customize stuff. Though this one isnt that attractive to me, but good work. The only thing Id love changed to make this super sexified, would be a way to customize the icons for that 4th slide.

I have a little comment that do we really need the close button now? I think we can leave it out cause anytime, we can slide the screen down to close the Shell screen and get to the HTC Home screen.

Prefer a cab
I have been checking this and the SPB Shell/SPB Shell Guide discussion and neither offers a cab install. All the copying and replacing files and renaming etc., is a hassle. I really hope this one comes in a cab cause it looks awesome.
Update..
I will be releasing it later tomorrow sometime. Basically with 3 background options. So you can just download which ever you prefer.
Installation will be simple. You just drop the dat files into your SPB Shell folder. I recommend backing up your SPB shell directory first. It really is that simple.
The tsk file is already available in the forum somewhere but i will post that also for use tomorrow.

It is made for QVGA 240x320, but I will be making VGA versions later on.

Just edit the skin.xml to change the programs and paths. In order for it to work right you must remove the softkey bar from the bottom of your screen.

Copy the the skin folder to Program Files > rlToday
Copy the Font to Windows > Fonts
Activate the rlToday plugin
Apply bg.png as your today screen background
Hold down on the today screen and click options
Choose the skin you downloaded as your skin
If everything was done right you should have it working.

Nice..but if you say this skin is created for QVGA users it would be better if you use HTC Touch which is QVGA device..since Diamond is VGA
I honestly didn't even think about that . I just loaded up a Diamond template I had on my computer to see what my concept would look like with a phone around it.

I added it to my main post. I simply found a high res render of the diamond from google images. Then I edited it to my liking. Enjoy!

Looks were my main thing I was going for, these were just skins for my personal phone and I decided to share them. I usually try to make one everyday I am off from work (which is very few days if that). I prefer minimalism over functionality, but I am working on tabbed versions that have app, weather, and calender pages. I look at my phone hundreds of times a day and I wanted something that was nice on the eyes.

Open skin.xml in notepad and edit the Y position of the clock. You would have to use another background otherwise you would have an empty black bar through the screen.

Looks pretty nice to be honest, its good to get a change from the overdone Diamond look but the images seem abit choppy around the edges... hopefully thats just the screenshot.

hi.. i've also been busy making themses and icons from the G1 and Android ever since the SDKs and the phone itself was announced..
i tried making skins for Homescreen++, rlToday, UltimateLaunch and WAD2 but individual plugin/engine shortcommings make it difficult to fully emulate the Android Homescreen UI..
so i abandoned all these projects midway and all i got was bunch of unsused PNGs and background images and UI graphics from the Emulator, screen shots and other Android apps in the AndroidMarket..
i've uploaded some of the images i have and some Android styled icons for other 3rd party apps (such as Mobipocket Ebook and coreplayer) - which i made myself..
there are lots other icons i made, like for s2u2, s2v and ftouchflo, oxios hibernate, wktask, etc, but i can't find them anymore (as of yet) within the mess of my harddrive.. it seems that i may have deleted the PNGs along with other useless stuff.. and i can't find the original SVG file which contains all of my Android icons (i use inkscape and making multiple icons in a same file makes it easier to copy/paste and duplicate elements).. i'll upload them when i found them...

my theme i currently have running is to large to "export" but i can copy my theme files and post them to get you started if you like..... i included some links in my "android theme" file under the "resources" file so you can open a new text message or go dirrectly to your inbox intead of account picker when "running an application" with a button

Really?? That's very exciting.
I am actually running Android on my Vogue now... and I must say, it is very nice. It's missing YouTube (doesn't work on Vogue) and Office (I have EverNote, not the same...). Making WM like Android, but with WM apps would be a dream

Digital - No mru's same as original
Analog - 4 mru's (2 obvious, 2 hidden) first one is the operator/signal indicator - I use for comm manager. Second one is the battery - I have it linked to mru pointing to power in settings.
Professional - same four as analog but also 3 more mru's on the far right of the screen just below bluetooth cycler.

The launcher icons are from eos_neon vga theme, I resized and recolored them.

Can everyone please read... TS already said this IS a work in progress. He posted it for suggestions on how to make it better (wallpaper, icons, etc.) So if you have suggestions, then post sources for the TS to get his work into action.

I'm glad you like it. I enjoy playing around with themes. Spb mobile shell is a bit of a pain in the ass though. It Will be interesting to see what comes from 3.0 - can't wait. I was going to do some more mods to this theme, but the interest in it is very low due to Point UI 2.0 being out, and Mobile Shell 3.0 coming.
i tried to use it, however, some of the icons are missing.
The entire bottom row is not displaying any of the icons (the 4 icons, calendar, now, launcher, contacts). When i do touch where it is supposed to be though, it goes to the correct application, but the icons are not appearing. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Is your device qvga? If so try deleting al skin files from your spb mobile shell directory, just the qa------ and qp----- files not system files, then copy and replace again let me know what happens. I have it going on a htc touch elf and an elfin both working fine. Anyone else having problems????? Also are you using version 2.1.2 of mobile shell I think this matters with tab problems.

There is a difference between 2.1 and 2.1.2 there are some tab problems if a skin is designed with 2.1.2 and used on a device that has 2.1
You can download 2.1.4 at spb's website and that will do it. They added some screen layouts and I think that is it.

The wallpaper is great: 3116 x 848. The IPT has 15 pages. I can not use the definitions "Transparency - Alpha blend on background" because I no longer have access to the icons when I try to change or add some. I have access to the screen to select the icon, but everything is blank. I noticed that with the "Alpha blend on black background" selected it does not happen, but the icons are not so with good definition. What can be done to avoid this problem?

What can be done is, after adding all the icons we want in the settings, change the "Transparency - Alpha blend on black background" to "Transparency-Alpha blend on background". The icons are of better quality.
If thats a IPT skin, I'll go commit suicide. I am a skinner too and i made some iphonetoday skins and for other programs, but this is something else. You are not from this world

P.S. just an idea, remove the apps icon from the bottom and put this icon on the middle of contacts and sms icon. Set the bottom bars iconrow to 3, so the icons will be centered Its more like ICS then..
