Hi,
I'm kinda new so sorry if I'm too n00b to find the right thread.
Id like to flash my SE X1 with a rom that is fast, minimal laggy. It doesn't need to have all super features.
Any tips?
/svante
Christian's Clean rom is a good start for a nice wm 6.5, been using is for a good while now.

So you wanna have a rom without lag? I'd prefer Spikegotti's Xperia Infinite or UnOff 1.5. I use UnOff 1.5 now for 2 days and I didn't found any lag. The ROM has windows mobile 6.5.
you will find the best rom for you...through evaluation of what you want from and expect to be in a rom, through reading the threads and trying the candidates on your phone for a few days
then you will have your best rom, not someones best rom and that's what you will get through q&a threads, which are, as a matter of fact, not well liked on xda
cheers
Thanks for your responses!
I'll try to dive into the world of roms then =)
Is no best rom as everyone has different tastes & opinions. The best rom for you may be different for me. Best advice would be to try a few, find out what you like/dislike and then find a rom which has your likes and try it out

I didn't want to bash anyone, however, i've tried so many cooked roms, just most of the popular roms, updates after updates, from one chef to another, if I really want to choose the best cooked rom for myself, it would be energy rom. However, due to my preference of installing lots of apps, I would say that the latest HK 1.57 shipped rom is the best rom, fast and stable, i really mean obviously faster and more stable, but non of the cooked rom are fast at all. please keep up with the good work for all chefs, but I need a proper phone with fast and stable rom, so, so far shipped rom is for me, especially the 1.57 HK rom is really that good!
Guys I am going to close this one as we are back to the same subject (which to say the least is subjective)
We have to many of these topics around, to many roms.
Read the threads and just try them out for yourself.
If there is still an need then we will have to open a poll thread but I don't think that will get us anywere.
PM me if needed
Hello,
I'm looking for latest ROM (Ex. Build 23542) but I don't want any addins or customiztions like HTC, TF3D etc. etc...
I see people regulary post roms, and they mark it as "pure, clean etc." but in real there are always customizations and they are not clean at all..
How does this system work? Where do they find the initial state of the ROM and they add their customizations?
I want the initial state only but the latest rom to flash with storage card method?
Thanks,
Tarik

I'm using WildChilds pure WM6.5 rom for a month and I'm very happy with it. Great battery and ram performance and you can install what you want on a clean fast rom.
Just register and have fun.

The two I've found most stable are Christian's ROM and gtrab's PURE Series ROM
Really not worth a whole new thread on this! Nearly every week someone asks what the best clean 6.5 ROM is... its largely subjective. Some people prefer one cooked ROM, other will swear by another.
The only way to really know is to look at the available ROMs and try them out.
Once the X2 is released and the chefs manage to get a download of the released ROM that will probably yield the best ongoing solution... but for now, experiment!

i just have one doubt...a ROM is the OS rite??
See, even Touch HD 2(or anyother phone) has WinMO 6.5
BUT HOW do we know what interface it has?? As in even a Touch HD has 6.5 and so does X2..but i wil obviously wont flash my X1 with a Touch HD ROM...??
So how can we decide what ROM is or for what phone????
PS: Im stil looking for a X2 ROM...and as someone mentioned above, till it isnt released, we can get a hold on to it..so i guess i am gonna wait..hehe
CIRCLEOFMEGA: once u read the chef's description of the rom, you will know the interface, this is why many people here say read read read
and only the roms for the x1 will be in the x1 rom forum, so i insist, read read read

Hi guys,
I know there are a lot of 6.5 roms here, but nut sure what to choose .
I've just tried a "LEo" 6.5 version which seems to me slow for my Blackstone.
Anyone can recommend some light/stable 6.5 roms I could try ?

Dont know any light roms. kwbr has a ROM that has a base of the stock ROM from rhodium. It seems to be quite stable. Otherwise i cant help you further. Just try out some and stick to the one you like the most
Another thing. Asking about a ROM is not quite popular around here. Recomending a specific ROM is wrong to other chefs. I hope you understand
As stated above to recommend a rom is generally frowned upon as it creates endless long threads due to each indivdual having a different opinion. As such threads like these are generally closed by admin or mod's
Rick
p.s. Best advice would be to try a few, possibly have a read through first few posts of each rom thread and check this benchmark thread
and im totally helpless, there's so much to install and things you can do with this mobile. i ordered a used one, wich already got flashed with another rom and stuff. is this bad? can i recover the original files? is it a good choice to do so, if its possible?
whats the "best" and by that i mean the best working firmware for this mobile?
or the most up to date?
why sould i use the android system if i could use the htc one?
pros/cons?
i have absolutly no idea whats good and whats not.
are there any comparsions online, any newbie threads to read?
there are so many tweaks and roms and fixxed and all the stuff i have no odea what its for.
can anyone help me?
Well, you cant go wrong with the official Sony Ericsson rom which came with the phone R3A is the latest one. But if you want Windows Mobile 6.5 then flash a custom rom, there are many to choose from in the custom rom section. I cant comment on android on the device because i havent tried it but i'm sure there are a few issues and bugs.
Personally i tried many custom roms but all of them had mini problems which made them bad so the one that worked best for me was the stock one which you can find in the rom section also
I would flash the May 6 ROM from Williyung as a good starting point. It's a completely stable and bug-less 6.5.5 ROM, about as updates as you can get.
826x.blogspot.com
Scroll down to the May 6 ROM
thank you both for the very useful answers.
i think ill wait until i can see the official one,
and after that ill choose if i stay with the regular one or the Williyung version.

What you're going to want to do if you want a STABLE device (free of eye candy) is make sure and stay with a 6.1 rom (official or otherwise).
6.5 has no real advantages that SPB Mobile Shell cant add while keeping your device stable.
(that being said I'm currently running an Energy Rom with 6.5)
826x clean 6.5.5 ROMs by Williyung are 100% stable. I have NEVER had to reset. There are bugless.

Hi there,
I'm new here.I got a question for you:What's the best ROM yet for X1?And by "the best" I mean one witch is stable and the phone is runing quicly.Right now I have WM 6.5 custom made(this is my uncle's phone).
Thank you in advance
LE: I have sex1 WM ROM now.
In my opinion it is the 826x series rom found here http://826x.blogspot.com/
The xpure rom is also pretty good, but 826x wins if you want a combination of eye candy, speed, functionality, long battery, and stability.
Btw there are thousands of topics about the same thing. Try searching those for more opinions.
thank you very much for the reply.I entered there and the 1st topic is with a beta ROM,but when i scroll down i see just htc roms...could you please tell me witch is the best rom from 826x?
Thank you in advance
Agree with person above me. Williyung's 826x ROM is great but I found SOD randomly, just like XPURE ROM. But I've just tried the new Russell Eclair's Base ROM, it's very fast and very clean. Maybe you can consider it too.
