How to change ATT boot screen?

I am using a custom RoM on T-mobiles service. However, the first boot screen is ATT. How can I put my own picture in there? Is that even possible?

You really need to do even a basic search, this thread was started the day before yesterday. Can you at all see , why we can't have new threads started every other day about the same thing ?

Double Operator names at lock screen??!!

Hi everyone im new here to XDA and just got a quick question
I flashed Cyanogen 4.0.4 rom and everything works amazing!
only odd problem I have is that when I lock screen I see Rogers (operator name)
twice! really odd....

ROGERS<-----------this one never changes

Time/Date
some help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I dont want to sound like a mean idiot but, youre gonna try a new rom just because of that? How often do you study your lockscreen? If your gonna change roms just flash again id say and see what happens

Maybe it's because no one that viewed the thread knew that answer to the question?! This isn't £3/minute tech support, people are volunteering their free time to help others...

im currently using xROM [v1.4r3], works like a charm!

Honestly I had the same issue on my phone. I flashed 2 other phones the exact same way and they did not have the same issue. Pisses me off. Its the reason I moved to Hero ROMs that don't give me the issue.

[Q] how to stop/disable ota firmware update notification

Did a *#checkin#* (just for shyts n giggles) now I get an update notification every 5 mins and it's getting very frustrating how do I stop/disable the notification... I am rooted therefore I can not update via the ota..... PLEASE HELP!!!!

I just go ahead let the phone go through the update. It will fail with those no signature message. Just reboot and it stopped bothering me for the update.

No need to apply, just reboot the phone.

I have a suggestion... do the download, before it tries to actually update u shut down the phone, copy the file from the card to your PC, upload it to megaupload and post the link here.

Well if its asking you to update to 2.3.3, then lots of people here are waiting for the files so they can manually update, as Google haven't put them on their developers site to anyones knowledge. Plus people can then get cooking with the files you provide.
So be a dear, upload the files. Please!

You've got to give him some credit... I've never seen some one pretend to get an OTA, that everyone wants, in such a clever way. Normally it's more like this, "YAYY!!!!! I gotz dA OTAs!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111one!!!!11ONE!!!" and then you never hear from them again. If he didn't have over 700 posts I'd almost believe him.

sooo a guy with over 700 posts here doesn't realize that this isn't the g2 forum, somehow gets a g2 update, when I'm almost positive there are none being released currently (or ever for the g2) on the day that the n1 happens to have announced that is coming out and people are foaming at the mouths to get it?
and I'm supposed to feel bad for him reanimating a year old thread from the dead, with a vague non working solution to a problem he prior didn't have?
I'll stick with my thoughts on the matter, thanks though.

Just pick a rom, flash it, then repeat until you like it. Nobody is going to be able to tell you what you like. That's up to you to decide.

was wondering if anyone could tell me how to take off my nikes and put on my addidas.
my nikes looked good for a while, but im kinda bored with them.
i think id really like to wear my addidas now, but cant cause my nikes are still on my feet. talk about frustrating!
maybe one of you could give me instructions on how this can be done?
if not, maybe you could tell my mom and i can have her do it for me?
any help would be appreciated.

Hey Everyone. I just wanted to let all of you know that I am very sorry about the screw-up on my part that led to damage of a few users devices. The error was all mine and it is inexcusable. Please know that I take this very seriously, to the point of losing sleep over it. As I have stated many times, I would like to pay for the cost of the bricked users JTAG repairs. Please just PM me.
I also want to apologize for my defensive attitude over the course of the past couple of days. I have never screwed up like this on these forums and I wasn't sure how to handle it.
There is some good news that has come out of this, however. I have been working with Task650 of GT 10.1 fame, an amazing dev and person, I might add, and we have come up with a beta ROM that I am running now that will be safe to flash and better than the original ROM I posted in terms of speed, stability and overall performance. I plan to have a private beta, and will ask for testers in a separate thread after Task650 and I have made sure that everything is OK and it is ultra-safe...
I have been humbled a great deal through this experience, and I believe it will make me a better developer. I have already learned a lot from Task and all of your posts, and I hope that I will be able to earn your trust with smooth, stable and innovative ROMs to come.

People are getting bricked? WTF? Works fine on mine. I will remove right away. Is it working for others? To the solution, let me get this clear, you flash and the device wont even turn on at all? Also, please let me know what build you are coming from.

In another thread, you said you bricked cooking your own ROM. So which is it? Not trying to be testy, just wondering, so I can figure out what the issue is.
BTW - where are the bricked users from?

So, flashed again, still fine. THe issue must be with the couple/few people's devices that bricked, or the installation process was messed up in some way. BTW, am NOT saying its anyone's fault, just saying that there must be something unique to your tab, or how you installed that caused the problem. So, if anyone has been "bricked", please let me know the following:
1. You did a full wipe, right?
2. You flashed on galaxy tab 7.7 wifi and 3g, not the wifi-only version, correct?
3. Where are you located and what was your build before flashing?
I am not asking these questions to be rude or defensive, I just want to know what's going on. I have had thousands (over 10k) of people download and flash my ROMS (search "Magnolia" in XDA), and have NEVER had anyone brick their device on my ROMs. I am known and respected by most or all U.S. developers for Verizon, so I am not some hack.

One last question...
Can you power on while holding down the Volume up key simultaneously? I am guessing, no, but thought I'd check. I just dont see how a device can be bricked when there is no firmware/radio, etc. being flashed. Not saying it can't, but it's weird...
EDIT - Try removing the SIM, too.

It might be because they came from another build (not ZSLA2)

Nope. Only two users have had problems with it, that I am aware of. The other 148 seem to have been fine. However, if you are not willing to take a risk, don't flash it. Simple.

Dont get me wrong dude... i already downloaded your ROM, but reading through the thread makes me think twice of flashing... Sorry if my post offended you... ill be traveling this afternoon so i cant risk flashing now because i need my tab... Anyway Thanks for the effort of this ROM...

Definitely not offended, sorry if I came off that way. I just wanted to clear up that it is apparently a VERY small minority (2 users, that I know of, and one other who bricked cooking his own ROM and then came here to state that he was bricked for some reason) that seem to have this issue, and, in fact, samsung tabs seem to have the "wont turn on issue" anyway, so I am not sure if it's the ROM, the devices, or what. I just don't like the dissemination of potentially misleading statements, intentional or otherwise.
