How to uninstall a theme? - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

how would i uninstall a theme i installed using update.zip?

you can't you would have to either.
1) use a nandroid you made before applying the theme (you should always do this before flashing anything)
or
2) apply a new update.zip of a new theme (or of the stock sense theme)

Installing themes through Cyanogen Updater

This is a simple question, but I was unable to find an answer.
When installing a theme through CyanogenMod Updater, do I need to uninstall or revert back to the original theme before installing a new one? Or can I just install from theme to theme.
Thanks.

you would need to flash/reflash a copy of the original rom first, then reflash the theme that you want but you have to make sure that the theme is compatible with the rom your using.
Thanks...but I already figured it out.
I dont' need to reflash or anything, I just flash theme to theme with no problems.

Darky's using R64's theme i guess. Most of the themes can flash to your device via CWM. Just get the theme zip archive and flash it via odin or CWM. If you want to get the defaulut theme on darky's rom, flash the R64's latest theme. hope i said everything correctly. if not, correct me

[Q] How to install themes and apk addons?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but my search didn't turn up anything. I didn't see directions on the ROM's thread for this. I'm running di11i's v6.0 base (no over clocking) I want to flash the blue theme. Do I flash this like I would a ROM, but without the clear all? Or use root user? Same question for apk pack addons, how do I install them?

apk is a program.
what is an apk pack addon?
if you mean just an apk then copy to phone anywhere, find it, click it. install.
make sure enable non market apps (never seen it not enabled though)
the apk add-on for di11i rom 6.0 can be applied same way as blue theme, it is CWM flashable.

Problems with theming

Hi there!
I was using CM7 with MattedBlues and then i tried some new themes that alredy existed in Theme Chooser app.
The point is, after applying a theme at the app i can't get MattedBlues back, even if i flash the zip fle at the recovery.
What can i do in order to get MattedBlues back?
Thank you everybody!
wipe and reflash CM7 then reflash MattedBlues.
save your apps using titanium backup (batch backup)
Have you tried just restoring the system theme in the theme manager?

Can you be a little more specific about what exactly is going wrong? Is the flash failing or are you just not getting anything themed?

The flashing is ok.
The point is: since i've changed the theme via "Theme Chooser" app, i coudn't get MattedBlues back, even if i flash it again from CWM Recovery (The Theme remains the same as chosen in Them Chooser)
I didn't want to wipe it again and flash CM7 only to change themes btw

Dark mods

Made some dark mods for my Xc, (stock 7.1.1).

Note that SystemUI apk is deodexed. Zip file will flash apk, but will not remove your odex directory, (I'm not that knowledgeable about scripts - If someone can write it for me, let me know). You have to delete the odex folder from SystemUI directory.
(more screenshots in post 5)
Also, here's dark contacts and dialer. Install as normal apk...
Is dark mode root only? How to I add it to my phone?

You need root, or at least recovery, (replaces system apks). I didn't add any link, since not sure if anyone wants it. If you have root and want to try, let me know.
Made new dialer and contacts apps. Links added to op. Install as normal apk.
Made a flashable zip - framework-res, SystemUI, Settings and SemcSettings. Haven't found any bugs so far.

Hi mate, dialer and contacts are working well on XZP on 7.1. Thanks a lot, love black themed apps, much nicer than Substratum.
Link in op updated to include battery mod here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...-apps/mod-style-z-battery-percentage-t3738050
Hi brother
Can you please remove lockscreen dullness even from the security screen.
2nd thing
Is it possible to port the (android 4.4 Xperia Z2 lockscreen with particle effect)
Thanks
Hello, and thanks a lot for your work!
But how exactly do I replace original dialer app by your dark themed one?
Thanks for your help.

For contacts and dialer just install normally.
It doesn't work. It tells me : the package is already installed...
When I install contacts or dialer normally, I have a message telling me that it's impossible to install it because a package with the same name is already installed...

Why not use Swift Dark for substratum? Best theme.
Nougat Stock Xperia rom do not support Substratum corectly
