hi
just guessing as I'm no technician, but as you tried it with different roms I suspect you answered yourself: might be a hardware issue
if it also didn't work on stock rom it might be a good idea to contact SE service, hope you are still in warrranty period...
gl
Ed. maybe it's worth trying wifimonster, haven't used it myself but it's got a good rep and seems to offer quite a few configuration options
cheers

Hello!
I've already try wifimonster and all the same like in communication manager, crash...
I have got warranty, or I dont know. I've got 1+1 year, and this is the second. I don't know what is the difference between them.

hi
shame wifi monster would have been easier...
I would expect the following: first year warranty provided by (responsibility of) reseller (provider), second year by producer
easy to confirm when contacting your reseller shop (if you got it there with a contract)
cheers

I got my SGS a couple of weeks ago. Haven't used it much yet. Anyways, I left if off the last three days and turned it on today and i notice that there is a continuous vertical line of faulty pixels! It is quite centrally located. I have just flashed it with the new fw last week, other than that I haven't done any modifications.
Is that an hardware or software error? How could that have happened? Any suggestions what I could do?
Regards
edit: can't post a pic since the only digicam I got atm is the one on the Galaxy...
edit2: sorry, this slipped into the wrong section, wanted to post it to General.

it sounds like a hardware problem, what you could do is factory reset the device and see what happens, then you can be quite certain its not a software problem.
For me it doesn't sound like a ROM issue, but others can answer that better than me.

But it could be... I'd try to restore it to stock as much as possible, to see if the problem persists, and obviously also to be able to return it in conditions that won't void the warranty.

That's the thing... the phone was branded. Tried a factory reset but it didn't help. I haven't found the providers fw online, as expected. If I will return it I will go there with my phone turned on and hope they won't notice. I got ahold of the original fw-info, I guess if I would be able to re-flash it it won't help me though... damn it
Hi guys!
So I have this weird issue ever since I updated to Jelly Bean.
Everything works fine after JB update, except my mobile data. I can now only get about 152kbps speed on 3g covered areas where everyone else gets 5Mbps.
I have tried a bunch of things, including flashing the JB radio firmware with the tool posted on the dev section... all to no avail. This is really bugging me!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
FYI: I'm rooted, unlocked bootloader, and have flashed the FR Orange JB update.

Other people on here may know a lot more than I do on this, but there are really only two elements to this in my understanding: device capability and network offering. The middle-point is of course, reception. If you don't get those speeds, it's likely reception. Many of us on here, who like modding, imagine the most difficult option as being the problem, I'd wager that it's the simplest... (I mean that sincerely, I'm not mocking!)

Nope, but thanks for the suggestion. I've already made sure it's not reception or anything physical either. I've tried the three radio firmwares provided in the forums (C7, C9, JB) and nothing.
I think the most plausible thing is that I flashed JB from France when I'm in Mexico.... If only I could find the files from another country and flash them to check this possibility... but I just can't find the link.
Edit: I just flashed the EU retail version and that did not fix my problem. I'm despairing now :'(
Have you emailed Motorola? I have twice and they reply very quickly.

I did and also I ruled out every software and hardware issue. Finally today I resolved to calling my provider (I had avoided this because most often their service is very crappy and the reps don't know squat about what they are talking)....
....
... Turns out that for some stupid reason they had restricted my data. So I guess that's it, and now i feel stypid too hahaha
So i rooted my new nexus 6 and installed chroma rom. every thing was fine till i noticed a small part of the screen flicker. it was like a black line coming and going as soon as i took it off charging it was fine. this was after i installed the rom there was nothing like this on the stock one. also when i open the camera app i can hear a small click/ crackle sound. this happened in the stock rom too but with the snapchat app. its irritating and i cant find a fix anywhere. and lastly whats with the network issue? it suddenly comes and goes. i checked it and it showe 0dbm and 99 asu?is this common? tried to find a fix but all i got was lots of unanswered threads. as being a student who need to use this phone for a long time can anyone tell me if all this is fixable ? or do i need to get a replacement as im still in my 30 day return period. thanks in advance and sorry if all this issues are already in a post and have fixes just post me the link as i could find it
being a student who needs the use of the phone for long periods of time.. what are you foing moddifying your device. no custom rom will be bug free. even though whtyever bugs dont bother me, they seem to bug you. why dont you just stay stock with root if those issues are bugging you.

I know no roms are bug free, just wanted to know if these are common software issue and not a bad device that i got. And on the other hand i used my s3 for 2.5-3 yrs with custom roms and stuff simply as i enjoy running them and seeing all the amazing stuff people can do with skill that was the main reason i got a nexus

It's made by Sony, for Xperia phones, you need to follow the instructions to repair the phone, NOT upgrade.

thank you
the first time I put my phone sent to the sale, they say it takes one thousand yuan to repair, I certainly would not spend so much money to repair an old cell phone (the price I can diffuse a road without any problems Used Z3C), so you should know, I just want to know how other people are here to solve this thorny problem
My English is not very good, I'm sorry, I used Google Translation

If camera is not working then the problem can be:
- hardware error;
- wrong software (check if the file is right).
The service for sony is horrible. Their development team has little understanding of responsibility.
My sincere recommendation for those who seek peace of mind: buy cheaper phone like moto g and you will be happy.
Sony z-series are joke - the displayss break and become unglued, the motherboards die, etc.
However, when it works, then it is great.
Hello, i've been trying for the past 3 days to buy the phone on their official page and every time it makes me log-in, I try to log in and then it says "Invalid multipass request".
I have tried in 3 different browsers, 2 different computers, and even on my mobile phone, and nothing works. Their support just told me "change browsers" and that was it.
Anyone has had this problem or has any idea on how to solve it? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice, but i already set my mind on buying it, i dont really mind the software, i can just install whatever when i get it and flash it or root it and whatnot. What i really want is raw power at low cost, which is what this mobile provides.
As long as i can play and read manga in it im fine with it thanks for the advice though
