ROM: up to date CM
Recovery: CM Recovery 1.4
Radio: U_2.22.23.02
i have read this thread about SPL,update the SPL have any effect about G1?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455860
please give me a suggestion

The engineering SPL 0.95.3000 is ideal. Its benefit is that it gives you full and unconstrained use of FASTBOOT, which is like your get-out-of-jail-free card and can fix you up even if you have a bad system/boot AND recovery.
There is no apparent benefit of the *hard* spl... it is hacked by custom binary modification to do something that in real life you will NEVER need to do. No need to install questionable hacked stuff when you can use the engineering SPL.

Note: Looks like your RADIO image is also very old/obsolete.
Once you install the engineering SPL, head over to developer.htc.com/adp.html and install the latest radio image.

therefore i need to update Engineering SPL
another question: any different from Deadth SPL??

Engineering SPL is guaranteed safe.
DeathSPL is called DEATH for a reason
Some people use deathspl because it rearranges the partition layout in a way they prefer. It really isn't necessary and the risk is NOT JUSTIFIED.
Especially since the same thing can be achieved through symbolic links.

sob sob....someone plz help
Touch screen not functioning or no picture due to screen itself not functioning? Anything specific happen that might have caused this? Still under warranty?
the touch screen not functioning at all. i didnt do anything thing before that.it just happen all i did to clear the storage and try to flash with some other roms but not successful.
no more warranty.
thanks for ur reply Guilf. or any other method that i can flash the roms? since i not even able to do anything. but i still can able to go into the bootloader. anything roms that works on the bootloader ?
i still not able to install the HARDSPL and SUPERCID
I've never heard of a ROM negatively impacting the touchscreen - so I'd be somewhat surprised if it fixed it. However, anything is worth the effort.
FYI - you don't need to SuperCID. Just HardSPL. Or try to JumpSPL it. Check for the thread on White Screen Issue during HardSPL in Upgrading section.
If it's still not under warranty and needs to be fixed - PPCTechs replaces the LCD and touchscreen in one unit. $160, I believe. Good luck.
thanks for ur reply, i even try to open up everything and ensure all the cabling is attached propoerly. still not work!
i cant even go into the windows screen i cant do the jumpspl either.
and the PPCTechs is broken link.
sigh...................
found out some scratches on the cable, could it be the reason that my screen not functioning anymore? pplllzzzzzzzz someone advise thanks

Rooted my G1 and loaded RC33. Now weird things happening! Help!

I rooted my G1 Tmobile and now it's acting funny in some ways. I don't know if it's an overload of apps (I don't know how to use the 4gb micro sd card inside to free up memory on the phone), or perhaps a step missed along the way (I don't remember doing anything about a radio update), or I picked the wrong OS but I need some help.
-It doesn't always hang up on the first try. It will go back to the home screen but the call is still going now matter how many times I press the end call button.
-Sometimes it will get stuck in landscape mode
- I keep getting the message that I need to turn on the radio and also that I don't have a signal.
I didn't look in the right places for my initial guides and I'm afraid that I'm missing something. I took a screen shot of my system properties. Can someone her tell me where I messed up?

*update* I fixed my radio according to bigballa's post below (thanks) I've attached pics of my other two screens for further suggestions.
what class is your SD card?
try updating your radio?
u have the new radio
the old radio which is suppose to be used with rc33 is the 1.22....radio
Note: RC33 contains a radio update. I chose not to include this in the RC33 update itself, because I personally don't want it re-flashing the radio every time I apply this update. Here (md5: cf8714d273fb0274574d9e3831e11fdd) is a separate update that *just* flashes the radio. You only need to install this update once (unless you happen to flash an nbh at some point in the future, in which case you should re-flash the radio afterwards).
To check if you have the new radio, go into the about phone screen in settings and check the baseband info. It should end with 1.22.14.11

Removing extended ROM from .nbh file. Will it unbrand my Treo 750?

I have gone though several threads but still can't find an answer to my question.
I have the Spanish Vodafone 6.0 update which I have already installed on Treo 750v devices using the SD card method (copying CHEEIMG.nbh to a formatted mini SD card and boot phone in bootloader mode with the card inside).
I need to apply this update again to a Treo 750 (not Vodafone) so I'd like to remove the carrier customization.
Even though I have flashed many phones I'm very inexperienced when it comes to modifying/cooking ROMs.
My question is: I have the HTC ROM Image Editor. If I remove the two files that show up in the Extended ROM, save the ROM file (nbh file) now with a clean extended ROM, and use it to flash a phone, will that unbrand the phone?
As I see it and with my limited knowledge on the subject, if I remove the extended ROM from the ROM image (before flashing the phone) then I flash it with the edited ROM then it won't install the carrier customized features. Am I right?
This is how the ROM image looks like after removing extended ROM files and saving the changes.

Please, help a newbie.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. If someone has a Spanish WM6.0 Treo 750 generic ROM and can upload it somewhere, please let me know. That would also help me resolve my problem in a much easier way.
I suggest you remove everything except the "OS" when cooking roms; after extracting the nb files from the nbh, the os.nb is the only file that is worked on.
additional, you should remove any thing in the ext partition before reflashing because the carrier junk will still be there even if you flash with a custom rom. Look into the Unlocking and Unbranding thread for that.
Thanks for your reply. Actually, I'm not trying to cook a ROM, I'd just like to know if after removing the extended ROM I'll be able to flash a phone with the modified ROM image and leave it unbranded.
Based on your reply, I'd say the answer would be yes.

Many thans for the responses so fast, sorry i cant copy console
Any ideas??
I don't know much about the MT3G, but what SPL were you using prior to all these problems? You mentioned that you had nandroid backups but they wouldnt flash anymore
Well i had to send the phone back for repair when i bricked it, It then came back with a perfected spl. I used the goldcard method to bypass and now i cant flash any boot.img over 2,000kb (2mb).
I used exactly the same method to bypass perfected spl as others have but they can flash bfs kernels where as i cant
Guess there really is no hope of me flashing a bfs kernel. Oh well slow roms for me

hd7 SD Flashing possible?

I know some are afraid to open their hd7 and tamper with the internal hardware. but if youa re like me who has obviously upgraded the 16gb to a 32gb class 10. then you know who accessible it may be.
would it be at all possible to flash an older spl or rom via Shubert.nbh from a sd card with the right rom on it?
or is this the easy way to do the gold card method?
I have had custom roms on my device. right now i am using a tmobile hd7 on european rom 401. and bootloader 5.11 smh
I can not downgrade. some how microsoft has stripped this away from me. if anyone has a good copy of the old roms please share. they upload sites suck! they always have error or i get interupption. can we do a torrent? skydrive? i miss flashing.
if you have the file i have a web page I can host it from.
this issue really makes me miss my hd2 and touch pro2.
once I get home im going to remove the back panel so i can try this method of flashing. see if i can avoid a y cable.
what do u mean to ask>
what version is yr SPL currently?
if u upgraded yr SPL 5.11 , i am afraid u cannot flash lower version rom unless u use goldcard method
i have asia 728 rom for nodo.
here it is
http://www.mediafire.com/?q2u2pgijyk77uv5
use the goldcard method to flash a lower version of bootloader and install R/H SPL
and then you can flash whatever custom rom u desire
u can find the goldcard tutorial here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597837
