Replacement caps for the external antenna port?

Hi,
This is by far the most hi-tech question on the board... ;-)
I've lost the stupid little rubber cap that used to cover the antenna port. Cingular and Siemens are unable/unwilling to assist. Has anybody found an alternate source for replacements?

You the same exact thing happen to me. I ended up taking it from the non working display model at the sprint store. But then I lost it again. So if anybody knows, please let me know

Try using the plastic bit on the non-writing end of a Bic stick ballpoint pen; it's about the right size & shape.

i-mate said they'd replace mine. Maybe I can get a few extras, too.

Dust Caps?!?!?

I was wondering if anyone has any links to dust caps for the mini-USB and 3.5mm phone jack?
I don't use the phone jack all that much and I noticed it getting a bit dusty.

i would like this,
just go to mobile phone shops and pinch the ones of the dummy models, any one surely other manufacturers have caps for this sort of thing.

which phone originally have this? cause dummy phone is exactly the same like the actual model so i think xperia dummy also should not have right

Tell me if you ordered one for the Xperia. [iphone 3G headphone socket/port should be the same as Xperia's port]. After that tell me if it is a good plug.

i mean pinch them of any dummy phone not the xperia dummy model,
gotta pop to voda shop todaytake my GF crappy W980 back for repair 6 times now, ill have a look,
im not gonna pay for a small piece of rubber.

I was looking at that, but needed a 3.5mm as well! Looks like I'll have to grab them separateyl!

all you would need to do is trim some bits off the psp headphone cap and its done

Replacing full housing on MyTouch

I've bought this item.
It look quite good, middle part is even soft-touch covered.
Build quality seem good to, metal nuts present unlike some other Ebay items.
The problem is middle part is kinda mirrored, eg mic hole is on the right from usb connector. So I am unable to fit despite I really like new housing
The question is - do both 32B and 32A have same part layout?
I have T-mobile MyTouch 3G 32B.
Is the item I bought unusable at all, or is it for 32A?

Hi... I have a 32A from anywhere and the housing is like this one in the picture, the mic hole in the same size as the image.
I hope this information help anyway.

AFAIK they do not have the same layout.
The difference is that the mic on the bottom part is on the other side of the usb connection.

Yeah, now I know it.
Anyway I've upgraded MyTouch 3G for Nexus One ;-)
HTC Magic housing is on sale now.

I get my casings from http://www.mobielbereikbaar.nl/zoeken?search=htc%20magic. For the dutch people here . I recommend this site. Very quick delivery and helpful.

Strange !!! Mine is 32b vodafone and the mic same in the picture
I was thinking to buy new housing but now i`m confused :\

HTC Magic's model (casing) with motherboard PVT32A or PVT32B are the same.
Only the MyTouch has a different position of the mic I think.

phone antenna part

Hi,
Does anybody have a spare or know where I can buy the bottom part of the middle piece of the housing? It's supposed to be the phone antenna and none of the housings online seem to have it with it.
It's labeled 37H00086-00M-A.

ordered a digitizer with bezel and all that stuff pre assembled from some phone seller in china (only one on the net selling the assembly). the chassis is different tho. I cant fit the black box that the signal wire attaches to in the new chassis.
anyone else run into this problem. do I need to post a pick to help you guys help me?

Are you sure you didn't order parts for the Z1? The Z1 and the Z1s are different in size etc
