You could just have a bad battery. Try charging it for a day and try again.

is this normal? does anyone else's diamond not flash

By LED I take it your referring to the plastic visible within the earpiece? If so then it is the light sensor. No LED's at all that I'm aware of.
Ahhhh its the light sensor, ive been wondering the same thing as the OP.

I am using HTC Touch Diamond, it has a LED just above the touch screen in the earpiece... I tried my best to figure out as how and when it functions!!... can anyone help??
Hi!
I also noticed it. But its an light sensor. If you have the "dynamic backlight" turned on, you can test it. Hold your finger over it, and your backlight should become darker.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to disable the keypad backlight when the phone is connected to the docking station? I mean a solution which does not turning off the display.
Sorry for my english and thanks for any ideas.
How about turning off the keypad backlight all the time?

Hi Folks,
i have a strange problem that seemed to have appeared out of nothing.
The HTC One has this nice feature that when certain apps like maps and camera are active and the screen turns off, you don't have to unlock the phone when you turn on the screen again.
This feature is causing problems with my htc stock camera app. Because if i don't close the camera app, but turn off the screen and then turn it on again the display backlight is not kicking in. I can slightly see that the phone is unlocked, but it is so dark that i cannot use it. Only a restart of the phone fixes this problem.
Anyone had this problem before?
Any idea how to solve that problem?
Is there a way to turn this feature off?
i use ViperOne 4.3 rom and Bulletproof Kernel
thank you!!
nobody any idea?
