saw it today morning on ebay, price about 18 usd w/o shipping costs (about 2 usd). i think to order that one, coz original htc 2300 mah still not available to ship and mugen 2600 mah is more expensive (64 usd w/o shipping costs).

Thanks for sharing.
Nearly got the 1600 mAh. think i will switch my eye on this. and yeah 18 usd compare to mugen is cheap!

so do i.
awaiting for an 1600 mah one and decided to got 2400 mah.
Now the question is, is it really 2400mAh as it claims to be?
1600mAh Andida (from china) performs close to the OEM, but not more.

i think leo with this battery is about 17mm (with stock battery - 11mm).
the phone would get so bulky that it's scary
Anyway, considering they are including a 2400mAh battery and a custom back metal cover (admitting it's metal and not some kind of plastic) for 20USD total, I'd love to see a proportionally priced spare vanilla metal back cover, which would be less than half, everything considered. Alas, all metal back covers I've seen are way more expensive than that.
so yay or nay? bulk isn't going to be too much of an issue. I wouldn't mind swapping depending on what I needed... be even better to have a dock that will charge the hd2 with the extended battery on, and have the original "spare" charging on the back.
Cover looks like plastic to me.
yeahh..... I ordered the 1600 mAh lol no need for that big ass cover and it only cost me $10 so.... yeh

Yup, it's true.. I now have 3 batteries (1500, 1600 and original) and they're all basically the same. Dirt cheap replacements though which is good on it's own
Just hate the thick back of the extended version, the thin-ness of the HD2 makes it pocketable regardless the size. Wonder if that still will be the case with the extended battery.

Couldn't agree more with you, dude!
The trouble with all these extended batts are that they make our Leos look FAT on their centre.... kinda like having beer bellies!
big belly?
Well, i'd rather have hard working phone with big belly, than skinny 1 pulling trailer with extra power? lmao, I don't mind little extra depth, it will still go in pocket fine 5mm, or 10mm? lol, won't keep it out of my pocket. Just concerned about new case? I use Imagnum, flip style!! OH OH?

I just bought the ebay 2400mah with plastic cover and it doesnt seem to be double the original. 31% at the end of a day of light/moderate usage. the cheap price makes it no loss, but I really dont think it is a true 2400. i'll compare some more though...

I also bought Cameron Sino 2400mAH HD2 extended battery from ebay. Actually the capacity is almost double the standard 1300mAH battery but there is a trick! After the battery goes flat and auto off you need to take out the battery for a while and fix it back. Restart, then the battery meter will display 50% battery level and it can continue for normal 50% usage!!
I am still puzzling why this thing happen and hope anybody have solution to this. Thanks!
Seem this issue still don't have any solution. No choice! I try to get help from Cameron Sino (manufacturer for HD2 2400mAH extended battery) to see whether they have solution on this issue. Below the write up:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir,
I am recently purchased a Cameron Sino HD2 2400mAH extended battery from eBay. The battery is well build and the cover also well fitted onto my HD2. The problem I face is the battery is having compatibility issue that I need to do extra step to utilize full power of the Cameron Sino extended battery. Below the issue:
•The battery can be full charge and the HD2 is showing 100% battery level after full charge.
•To my surprise, the battery power draining rate seem not much different from standard non extended 1300mAH battery that it not justify for the extra thick battery and cover
•When it goes down less than 10% or zero power, I try to switch off the HP, remove the battery from battery bay for a few second then fix back, power on back the phone. The HD2 battery meter now indicate 50% battery power remaining and it can be continue use until goes to zero.
I would say this kind of issue is compatibility issue that it shouldn’t behave this way, It is very troublesome to off-power, remove back cover, remove battery, fix back battery, fix back cover, power on again to gain back another 50% battery power. It should be slowly drain down power (after full charge) with much slower drain down rate and goes completely zero as what normal Li-Ion battery behave.
Pls look into this issue seriously as I already feedback to xda developer forum on this issue that a lot of potential buyer will reluctant to purchase this 2400mAH extended battery because of this issue. I hope you can provide a battery driver solution and I should try to install. I will update to the forum when this issue is fixed, else the issue will remain open and it definitely will discourage people to buy this battery due to this issue.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope Cameron Sino will provide solution to this issue and I should update once I gotten the reply. Stay tune!

I got mine from Seidio on Monday; not a miracle battery but definitley better life than OEM. If you don't like the hunch-back look and want a second battery this is the way to go. I would extimate that it is giving me roughly 10% better life as they advertise.

OEM HTC Mogul Lithium Ion Extended Battery 2200mAh

Seidio battery may give a smidge more life; build is pretty poor though, and seems to be made of some paper-like or cardboard/plastic material, covered with not very well-fitting cellophane. If you never remove your battery, may not be an issue, but I suspect this one wouldn't take very many change-outs without getting rather worn. Also seems like it heats up a bit more...

Their batteries are pretty cheap. Rating from Reseller Rating is quite good too.
I am using 2 of these and they work real nice, very high quality batteries comes sealed in shrink wrap plastic which prevents air and moisture from getting into these batteries that kills it's ultimate capacity. Lasts longer than my original one from sprint... I tried those cheap $10 or less batteries before and their capacity fluctuate wildly, don't get those, these are nice, check out my rating:

So, XDA forum member nvgear bought batteries from eBay seller nv_gear? ... Did you get a discount?
Hi...
I need a couple of new high capacity batteries with a high mAh rating.
Do any of you have info on the best place to buy ?
Id rather purchase from a European vendor but will consider importing worldwide.
TIA.
Regards,
Mark.
i just bought a 3600mAh mugen off ebay. works great my first week using it. i get between a 1.5 and 2 days of usage where previously, i'd be dead by 9pm of day 1.
what size battery is that ?
I forgot to mention that I need a regular sized battery, IE one without a new battery cover.
...so it fits into my case.
If it is regular size, what's the name of the ebay seller ?
TIA.
Mark.

I found this extended battery for the vogue. Any of you use this? If so how does it compare to the original standard battery?
that battery just showed up on the "battery scene"... it should provide more capacity based on mAh. i'm using Seidio's 2000 mAH battery it provides enough power to get me 1.5 days with normal usage.
Yeah I have that battery and anything is better than the one that comes with it. It lasts a lot longer as you would probably expect from a bigger battery. If you do get that battery it won't fit in your case anymore and the best case I found that fits it perfect by the way is this one http://swissmobility.swissmobilitystore.com/store/product/swissmobility_commander. It fits it perfect after a day of breaking it in. It is also cheaper here at this site http://www.buywirelessnow.com/smartwireless/buy/accessories/cat/615/accessory/298685 which includes the cover and free shipping.

Mind sharing pictures of what it looks like installed? Also do you know if any of the existing extended batteries would fit using the OEM extended battery door?
thanks,
-CC
Here are a few pictures. As far as other batteries fitting inside like the 2000 from seidio it probably will because they claim it will still fit in the original holster with the back you can get with it and with this HTC back it won't fit inside the original holster. This is all an assumption.
thanks for the pictures... if you have it, i'd like to see a side-shot of the phone with battery cover (similar to 3rd from left but with cover) and a bottom-shot of the phone with battery cover (looking from bottom). having an OEM cover vs. the tight Seidio cover is something i'm thinking about (not to mention having another backup battery). thx

Will a Extended Battery Door for a Capacity 1900 mAh battery fit a 2000mah battery?
i have the extented door for the OEM 1900 mAh battery and it easily accomodates seidio's 2000 mAh battery. in fact, the 1900 mAh battery is taller than seidio's 2000 mAh battery.
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking forward to the purchasing the door and the extended battery.
how much room is left in between the battery and the cover would you say? I want to put an led in the case for a non-flash/light. the mugen-power full case looks like it would work, but I don't want to spend $75 on a 3 year old phones battery.
DealExtreme now have a 3500 mAh battery with cover Link
However I don't think it's 3500 mAh and the quality is probably low and it wont be water resitance because it miss the extra internal cover for the battery.
there is such topic already, and this battery is the same, that already more than month selling on ebay
It's thicker than stock. I have ordered one similar to that as well. Just waiting on it to arrive. There is another topic here that is already about extended batteries for the defy. Your link does include the rear battery cover. However, I would not try and dip that in water unless you put some kind of waterproofing on the replacement back cover. Getting better battery life for cheap does have its disadvantages as well. Unless some company makes one that retains water resistance with a large battery and replacement back cover.

Another dealextreme 3500mAh
Now there's also this one:
dealextreme.com/p/3500mah-rechargeable-extended-battery-pack-cover-for-motorola-mb525-73564 - 3500mAh Rechargeable Extended Battery Pack + Cover for Motorola MB525

Both back cases have no waterproofing. As (remaining) capacity is probably more related to age of the battery than to price; I would pick the newer white one. Anyway, you only loose $11 instead of ~$30 for the ebay options.
I just got a D.Seven extended battery for US$13

There is a source I just found for 4200 mAh battery which supposed to be the same dimensions as OEM 3100 mAh battery. I'm waiting to receive it in a few weeks from HK ($8.99 shipped) and will review and report about its actual capacity. It shouldn't be less than 3100 mAh, I hope, and if it really can deliver 4200 mAh - that would be awesome while keeping original battery door and whatever case you are using now.
In case you're wondering what you might get one of these, just search ebay for 4250 mah note2 gold. Whoever in Cina makes these, makes them for a lot of brands.

The problem is when you search on ebay you get only 2 choices, one for $25 and another one for $35. And although picture shows a battery with Note 2 label, it has 4 contacts instead of 3 contacts like on OEM battery. I have no idea what they are selling. The one I'm getting is labeled as 4200 mAh Gold model and for a fraction of the price, it has correct 3 contacts and even water damage indicator. But I have no idea about its quality or the actual capacity until I get it. If its everything I expect, I will review and post a link to it.

Lots of reviews on XDA not just for the note 2 but lots of batteries.
Regardless of it being made in China or not, there are lots of scams out there. Batteries that hold more charge must be physically larger, it's a matter of physics, unless if you are buying a battery with some very advanced rechargeable battery tech, but most batteries are li-pol or li-ion and basically in order to have more charge you need more cells, which = bigger battery.
Anyone selling a "extended" battery that is the same size is lying.
The Gold batteries are good quality OEM size batteries, but they won't hold more charge

Yeah, you are absolutely right. I'm not being naive about it, just hoping that perhaps they were able to increase cell density, somehow?!? I'm not holding my breath it will be 50% increase or so. In my previous Droid X I had original OEM 1500 mAh battery. Then, after 3 months Motorola came up with 1850 mAh extended battery in the same form factor (even so they offered a new battery cover, it was just a hair thicker and fit original battery cover perfectly). And that one was a significant improvement over original capacity. So, I'm just hoping that someone was able to push an envelope to increase density to give at least 20%-25% boost without sacrificing the size. As much as I'm enjoying my current test of Seidio Innocell (4500 mAh) with ACTIVE Extended case, I miss my slim fit UAG case

Go to this thread and go down to post 9. I posted my experience with a "gold battery" only to find out the label was just a print to scam buyers. Not only that, the battery never worked and when I was charging it, it started getting dangerously hot.
All in all, stick with branded items that have a good reputation. I paid $675 outright for my phone, and will spend $5 more for the branded battery to keep my pocket from bursting. Also, the external battery charger that come with Hyperion and Onite batteries output .350 A +- .05A so it will slow charge a battery overnight, keeping your battery at its peak life for a longer amount of time.

I like that you don't need a larger back cover with this ebay one.... Anyone any experience with this battery? Also, with the larger batteries that DO require an extended back cover, how is NFC affected?
NFC won't work, because NFC antenna is in the original back cover.

There are varieties of extra capacity batteries for 4X, up to 4800 mAh @ 3.7V, but most require some custom back cover which usually doesn't include NFC anntena, and the true capacity is in question as is the quality (longevity) of these batts. Mugen's deal is genuine (from various reviews and remarks), the back cover has NFC, but the price is just insane, $90 for the cover and battery! And they're not that great:

Yeah, I'm thinking the $90 for a freaking battery is way overkill on the price tag. Unless that thing had a mini-arc reactor that can power the phone for a whole year without any slowdown, then the price is warranted. I've switched my original battery for the Onite 4800mAH and the performance is just about as impressive as the touted Mugen one for more than half of the Mugen price. Average non-heavy use on a single charge goes up to at least 2 to 2.5 full days to reach zero charge.
I've also played around batteries of varying sized from the gold 2450mAH up to the 4800mAH that I now use and I have noticed that depending on which battery you use, the phone either heats up insanely fast or rarely heats up at all. The gold 2450mAH battery I have has just as much of a pitiful charge as the original battery that came with the phone but for some reason, the recorded temp rarely strays between 77°f to 88°f at it's lightest and heaviest usage. The 4300mAH battery also shows the same readings as the gold battery. The Onite one I have that is 4800mAH is almost as normal as the original battery - in that it's temp rises depending on usage from 77°f up to 110°f (110°f at the worst without any throttling at all, graphite heat sink pad included). I have no idea why that is, but if someone here can explain, please do so.
As for NFC, I barely use it at all, but I do have more than one back cover that includes the NFC antenna for extended batteries if I ever feel the need to use NFC.

You have more than one replacement back covers with NFC built-in? Can you post some pics and where you got them?

Sad, it seemed too good to be true. :/
Edit: This might be something? 2500mah: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2500mAh-Rep...040?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27d5bb3b98

2500 mAh for that price? .... No Way. This is also to good to be true. And in 99% of all cases where something seems to be to good to be true, it usually is.

Can you link the onite battery you mentioned? and any suggestions to a battery that doesn't require larger back cover?

A larger capacity battery without larger backcover is impossible. The capacity of a battery is directly related to it's size (using same technology). Without using a physically bigger battery it's not possible to get more capacity, unless they invent a new technology. Maybe they can squize a few more mAh in there, but that's it.
So if you want a significantly larger capacity, you have to have a battery that,s substantialy bigger and therefore require a different back-cover.

I have a question. I have a leather flip case.
Because the back of the case is made of plastic and is not thin. Is there a similar case for the 4500 mah battery?

Did anyone tried this battery,I'm planning to buy this MPJ battery or Aku Polar,MPJ gives 200 mah more juice on paper, but in reality ?
And its cheaper than Aku,what do you think ? I have two 1800 mah golden batteries, one doesnt work and I plan to order stronger battery for daily use and leave stock and gold for backup
I can recommend this battery it gives more time of use

I just bought the MPJ 5000mAh Extended Battery for my s2, I'll report back when I get it to see just how accurate this will be. I figured $22 and can be returned, so why not try it.
They actually have their own site, http://www.mpjbattery.com/
Which most no-name batteries from China do not. So who knows!

Got the battery yesterday, I'm fully charging it as we speak in an external charger. The battery itself is massive and heavy (you would think it was actually 5000mah just by visually inspecting). I will update and post back after I put it in. The back cover fits perfectly and tightly, pleasantly surprised about that.
My last extended bat was on my my touch 4g, so I have experience with them. Let's see how this pans out!
