I just signed up and it seems I'm at the right place I've been looking for the App (see subject) for weeks now Since the link given in a previous message is broken, can someone type in clear-text if this app is available and in what Country. In Canada it is not available via Market Place, so it would be nice if someone could re-dristribute the APK if it's possible.

Swapper For Root Users gone from Market?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have or know where I can get the latest version of Swapper for Root Users.
I have been out of the Hero/Sense/Espresso game for a while and between then and now I lost my swapper apk. I need it because I am flashing over Eugene's Espresso V3 right now, and I don't have a swapper app at the moment.
I looked around here on the forums and I could only find the 1.4 version. The lastest was 1.5 and was hoping I could get a hold of that one because I didn't really like the 1.4 and for me it seemed the 1.5 worked better.
I know that there is the DroidSwap, and I have tried that in the past and I just did not like it.

What is wrong with editing the conf file?

Computer is going to be gone for another month. best buy warranty sucks. I'm doing this all from my phone or a friend's computer whenever I get the chance to head over there.
Until I get my laptop back, I would like to have that app to be able to change my settings on the fly and not have to make the trek to his house which is on the other side of town.

search user.conf on the market, there is an application that will create it with visual options. But you can also edit the file with a text editor on the phone.

.5 is what I was looking for.

Thanks, I looked there and only saw .0.1.3, but I took a closer look and it said that that is the same version as the 1.5. Wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't point it out again.

I used Market Access on my rooted captivate to use the T-Mobile Market and now it just won't load at all please help if you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it thanks

Uninstall market access, and any changes it made should be undone as well. You can also try restore the default back to the AT&T carrier string, but I don't recall the code. If you backed up your settings before you applied the changes, they should be stored for you.

I think the market might be down right now, as many people are reporting problems, including myself....

Whew ok, I was playing with my build.prop file playing with the DPI tweak and Market wasn't working so I was playing with it's file properties thinking I messed something up rofl. Makes me feel better.

[Q] [ROM Request] Could anyone port the myTouch 4G Slide ROM to the Incredible S?

I know a lot of you guys are porting the Sensation ROM to our phones. I've tried Virtuous Unity and it's a really awesome ROM. But after all the sensation ROM is for qHD screens and the 16:9 ratio is not the same as that of our phones, which is 5:3. However the myTouch 4G Slide has a WVGA screen and is running something very close to Sense 3.0, so why not save all the resizing work and port this one onto our phones instead?

But there are quite a few bugs about this one(especially Wi-Fi, the others I can just get on with), and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Could anyone make this port perfect for daily use? I believe a port from a WVGA device will be more convenient for both daily use and Android development.

got this up and running on my Inc... will monitor over the next couple of days and report my findings in this thread...

17 hours and it's running pretty good. minor issues i've encountered so far include:
- cannot set the new email tone like you can with other Sense 3.0 ROMS
- the groups feature on the contacts doesn't work; button is there but it disappears
- no options for the lock screen, e.g., weather, pictures (don't know if this is by design)
- i've had at 2 lockups that required pulling the battery, but not sure what caused it. i'm going to try version 3 of the MDJ kernel to see if that helps.
will continue testing...

Market App does not show up anyone (GroupON)

I am in US on ATT. My phone is rooted but I have not installed any custom roms or kernals yet.
I am trying to get the app GROUPON, but in the market it does not show up at all. A version that is meant for JAPAN shows up but no US Version like i had on my previous phone INFUSE.
Any help or anyone can upload the APK I would appreciate it thank you.

Depends on the firmware/ location your phone came from some apps might not be available to that area. Try flashing a different firmware.
With custom roms the CSC might not match your phone, so you can't purchase from Market even though you can

I had the same issue too, i ended up pulling the apk from my atrix. It's a much bigger filesize though. Hope this helps someone

The market thinks you are out of the US. Couldn't find it either....then again Groupon has jumped the shark for me and is no longer interesting to me. That and living social.
They are becoming irritating to me. Neat idea, but annoying these days.
