first of all how do you get it to run ....do you just copy into windows as my file is a .php is that right

To run CoolCamera instead of the standard camera software change the shortcut in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Edit the camera shortcut to point to \Programs\ATEKsoft\CoolCamera\CoolCamera.exe

got many software that can remap your hardware button. just search it.....

Yes I know that, I mean inside the program it has not such a setting...

Ran it on mine, had problems with the menu system and then it freezes, I don't think I#ll bother with that until it hs been developed alot more.

Second camera and portrait

Hello,
I tried to use the MS portrait but by default it selects the first camera not the secondary front facing. In options there is only one camera listed, whats the solution to this?

What are you tring to do? There is camera software for winmo phones that is great for using different cams and stuff here it is http://www.ateksoft.com/

You got portrait to work on the Kaiser? With me it always throws an error.
What version did you install?

beta, 3.1 but its using the main camera, not the front camera.

I recently bought HTC tytn II. My main purpose to buy this powerfull device is Voice chat and Video chat...
Please let me know the performance of MS portrait on tytn II... can we do voice chat smoothly?????

My experience of MS Portrait on my Kaiser is not very good.
It only seems to work with other versions of Portrait for voice or video and not with Live Messenger.
IM text chat to PC Live Messenger works just as well as "Mobile" Live Messenger to PC Live Messenger, and I stil get incoming Hotmail notifications.
Video, even over wifi LAN, was poor to non existent in my experience.
The only Camera it will work with is the rear facing camera, I tried setting up the forward facing camera in the camera app and then going into the settings for Portrait but still only the rear facing camera works.
I havent tried a 3g Video Phone call so I have no idea how well the Kaiser copes with the demands of 2 way video and audio processing and data transfer, but as far as portrait goes technically it works as a proof of concept but is far from being usable. Portrait is only beta software so there is hope for future improvements. Cool Camera and Webcam Plus, both from Ateksoft, were mentioned earlier but are not currently compatible with the Kaiser.
I have read somewhere that HTC have not released the full APIs for the cameras. I guess this will hinder 3rd party development.

Printing a panoramic picture

Hi,
Does anyone know how I can print off a panoramic picture taken with the Diamond? I have some that I need to give to a loved one but when I print at home all I get is the middle section...

what are you printing them with?

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64, and it handles panoramic pictures fine with it's built-in photo printing program.

Opera 10: Step Zoom w/Volume buttons - Anyone smart enought to solve this?

I know there has to be someone smart enough around here to have figured this out! How can we get Opera 10 to zoom in steps using volume up/down hardware keys like the OEM 9.5 does?
My biggest gripe with Opera 10 is that it doesn't support stepwise zooming... And the volume button implementation on the oem 9.5 was possibly the most overlooked, but best implementation ever (yes, better than HTC's stupid zoom bar as it doesn't require 2 hands, isn't finicky, and your hands are always resting near the volume buttons in both portrait and landscape modes).

Unfortunately O10 is like Opera Mini, there is no way to have more than 2 zoom levels.

+1 i agree. love the stepped zoom of 9.5 would be a treat in 010 as i find many times it over zooms or under zooms depending on my setting... and it's frustrating

I wish they would make real opera mobile 10, not just port from java.

Or just keep using 9.5 until 10 has someting mind blowing that outweights volume button zooming

There won't be any 9.5 or 9.7.
I find 10 milion times better than buggy and problematic 9.7 and 9.5.
OMobile 10 is more advanced and faster than previous betas.
Of course stepped zoom would be nice but honesty I wouldn't die for it.
P.S. No, Mobile 10 is not rewritten Mini 5, it just has unified UI,
much better than previous ones.

Actually, I like O10 a lot, the two-step zoom doesn't bother me much, as it's implemented much better than zoom entirely in 9.x.
The volume button zoom would be a nice addition, but in no way neccesary.

[Q?] WM 6.5 and HD video recording

Friends:
Is HD video recording (720p) something that would ever be possible with WM 6.5.X, or is there some inherent limitation of WM 6.5.X that prevents this?
I love WM 6.5 but also really want HD recording so I can catch my baby daughter's antics with good recording quality. Might have to jump off to Android if this can never be possible, though I really don't want to.

video & camera on WM phone are crap, dont expect it too much
