Can I take advantage of 3G connection in Europe with AT&T USA branded Kaiser?

Hi All,
I currently live in the USA and I have a AT&T branded Kaiser and a Hyperdragon III BlackStone ROM on T-Mobile USA network.
I know that the phone does not actually support T-Mobile's USA 3G network but could anyone tell me if I can take advantage of the European 3G networks with this phone? I'll be travelling in the UK and Spain and would really like to use it as amodem for my laptop when there is no wifi around.
Any info would be appreciated
anyone know?

[Q] Will a T-Mobile Nexus One get 3g in UK?

I have the T-Mobile N1 (1700/2100 I believe) and was wondering if it would get 3g on any service provider in the UK, and if so what service provider(s) will it work on? Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Yes, your Nexus One is fully compatible with all GSM/UMTS providers in Europe - you won't have to worry about supported frequencies.
so I'll get 3g on all of them as opposed to edge?
Yes, you will be able to get UMTS ("3G") reception wherever it is available and will be able to use the faster data standards HSDPA and HSUPA on your Nexus One, just like with T-Mobile US, on all networks.

that's great. thank you so much for the reply
I know you've got your answer now but just so you're certain I live in England and bought my N1 back in January, straight from America on their T-Mobile network. Been using both Orange UK and GiffGaff (on O2 network) since then for 3G without a problem.
cool. thanks for confirming this

Best plan for LTE Version of HTC One?

I'm moving to Florida from Canada, and I'm having some trouble finding a good LTE plan there. I've checked out Straight Talk, AIO Wireless and Net10, but none of them seem to offer LTE? Is there a reseller, or a plan available through AT&T that offers LTE and possible calls to Canada? I'm using the Telus version of the HTC One.

at&t or tmobile. tmobile is no contract so that would be my first choice
Hate to say it, but check out att. They have a Canadian plan too for making calls into Canada.

Hi all,
Speaking of LTE plans. Is there a prepaid LTE SIM you can suggest that will work on my International version HTC One? I'll be having my vacation in California and would like to have working LTE while I'm there. Grateful on your advise.

As far as I can tell the only carrier that has decent rates on prepaid LTE is T-Mobile right now ($30/month with 200 voice minutes, unlimited texting, 5GB data). That said, they have a very small LTE footprint. AT&T's prepaid GoPhone service now has LTE support but it's a lot more expensive.
Either tmobile unlimited lte for 70$ a month or att which will cost more but you will get better coverage outside of cities. Plus they have plans to call to canda but if you get tmobile you can WiFi call to canada for free I believe with certain tmobile plans. If you won't be traveling on highways or to rural areas get tmobile for sure but if coverage is important for you and you would like speeds greater than edge outside of any major city get att but your looking easily over 100$ a month
Tmobile unlimited everything
And they don't slow your speeds down anymore
You can get unlimited minutes with att if you pay for it but you will not get unlimited data 30$ for 3 gb 10$ a gb after that never gets slowed down either but you pay for overages.
Really it all comes down to were you will be and travel and how important coverage is to you
I have att bit I travel out if cities all the time and go to metros and rural areas so I have to have att I can't be on edge every time I leave the city. You will still be able to make calls with tmobile but forget about getting on internet if your not in a populated area
It all comes down to preference but those are you two best options
Sprint is worse than tmobile for coverage and they don't have SIM cards only t mobile and att
My personal opinion to you though is if money isn't a issue get att you will get way better coverage and way better lte
I'm talking 60mbps + dl 20 + ul
Depending on area of course but I've never seen tmobile with these speeds and I live in Oklahoma city Oklahoma so if I get that here with att image what att would be in Florida

[Q] 3G phones on a 2 yr contract in UK

Ive just picked up an Samsung Ativ S which is 3.5G (H+) here in the UK (4G Ativ S didnt come to UK only US) and my contract runs for another 22 months, but with all the major carriers talking about 4G LTE and that 3G will be switched off soon.
is that correct or are these sales people trying to scare monger people into spending more money on a 4GLTE contract, which in the UK.. 4G phones are about £50-£100 more than their 3G H+ versions.
Will we see H+ in the UK for a few years yet.
Thanks
First of all, the USA didn't get any ATIV S models at all. I had to import my SGH-T899M from Canada. It sounds like you got the other model.
Second, wether any given mobile operator is turning off a certain radio mode or not is - surprise, shock, mind-blowing revelation - up to that operator! If you want to know what networks will still support HSPA+ in the coming months, why don't you ask *them*? We don't even know what operator you're on now!
Third, the odds of them turning off HSPA/HSPA+ are very slim. There are still an awful lot of phones out there that don't support LTE. I'd more likely believe them turning off 2G/EDGE and re-farming that to LTE.

Xperia Z 6603 in states?

Oke.... Im from Europe, Croatia and i have local 6603 XZ.... no problems there.... but in a few weeks il be traveling to Florida for a while...
I know that not all operators there work on same mhz, so i need advice/tip on what to use in my euro xz so it can function there... If its even possible...
Thanx in advance guys...
I was in Florida and New York just some weeks ago with a C6603, and everything works fine.
You get 2G and 3G on AT&T, and 2G on T-Mobile.
Local prepaid sim cards are pretty expensive in the states, for me it was cheaper to just roam on AT&T with my belgian sim. Depends on roaming rates of your provider of course, look them up.
