Diamond Earphones problem - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Dear developers, please Help!
Diamond doesn't recognize plugged in earphones. Only speaker works. radio FM app doesn't open aswel. Active sync works, earphones are new.
Any Ideas?

Hi, I had the same problem. It was that the headphones were actually for motorola. HTC changed something in the usb so that the phone detected the headset. There was a thread somewhere about this and how to modify the usb if you can do it

Thanks! But the headphones are original HTC. besides I can hear through them that some connections and electrical impulses happens, so the USB isn't dead, bet in the same time headphones are not working.. Who could help me ... ?

MDA IV in car -mic problem

hi all !!!
i connected my mda IV to sony car audio using adapter cable (3,5 mm jack) sound is great (music, films ,navi) but when i try to make a call nobody can hear me because cable is connected and internal mic is switched off !!!
Do you know the way how to force internal mic working while cable is connected? ( i know i can buy bluetooth car radio but i am curious if it is possible to turn on that mic) THX
I'm looking for the same solution on my diamond. Anyone has a solution?
I don't know the solution, but there is a workaround.
If you download bluepower, this will activate bluetooth when your phone is charging. Then you can use a bluetooth headset to make and receive calls. This seems to take priority over the connection with the in car audio.....
Hope this helps.

Enable Internal Mic while plugged into USB

Hi All,
Just wondering if there is anyone out there willing to help me. I have my Diamond plugged into a FM transmitter/Holder for my car. But when i make a call i can hear the person through my stereo but they cant hear me. I was hoping somehere here with all the knowledge here could make a app that everytime i put the phone in the holder i just run the app that enables the internal mic to work. I understand that the registry will change everytime th diamond is plugged into the holder but i was thinking just to have the app in my favourites. If you can help please let me know.. I will donate for anyones time.
Regards
Ray

thanks for your reply.. but this is no help to me as i have a InCar holder with the mini usb connection as it is also a FM transmitter...

[Q] External Mic for htc hd 2

Hi there. I hope someone will help me...Basically I need dictaphone for interviews so I bought "Olympus ME-52W Noise Canceling Microphone" and I tryied to use it with my htc hd 2. Phone is showing connected headphones but mic is not working. So my question is can I use external mic with my phone or is it related with software? If someone know the answere pls help me!!!!!!! btw I use Resco audio recorder
The problem is because the connector on the mic is probably the same as a mono headphone plug. The phone thinks that you have headphones plugged in. The phone has a socket that accepts 4 pole jack plugs. That is it requires a special plug that has contacts for both left and right audio as well as for the mic.
If you really want to use the mic I would go to somewhere like radio shack or mapplins and buy a 3.5 mm 4 pole jack plug and a couple of sockets. You could then wire up your own adapter to let you use the mic and also a pair of headphones or speakers at the same time. The pin out for the plug should be easy to find on the net and so long as you can solder I wouldn't see any problems.
Other than that plugging the mic directly into the phone will defiantly not work.
shut up stupid douche

[Q] How to connect external mic to M7?!

First, I tried this site from eBay:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=221271993040
Didn't work. Didn't even detect it as headphones, let alone mic.
Then I tried this one, which is "trrs," because several HTC phones work with it according to reviews:
Headset Buddy01-PC35-PH35) PC Headset to 3.5mm Smartphone Adapter
Same exact results as the two-dollar wire.
Nothing has worked!
Is so irritating that is so hard to use an external mic with a high-end phone like this.
Can anyone help?!:crying:
