Hi All,
Has anyone here tried ZENO USB HOST DRIVER on Omnia..?
This has already been discussed over at Modaco (See here).. and people who mod the USB cables to try it were not able to get this peice of software working on Omnia..
However, 1 of the user found a good article which might help the developers to build the drivers for Omnia.. please check the link below..
http://translate.google.de/translate?hl=de...6/t-8356.html
As we have great developers here at XDA.. can some1 plz build a dedicated driver for Omnia i8000..
would be good if you could learrn how to copy/paste URL at least. Your URL is not working.
The link is not working
iF IT WORK ON OMNIA ii very nice
how once can make the cable ?
Learned to copy and paste now below is the correct link
http://translate.google.de/translate?hl=de&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.srvee.com/html/56/t-8356.html
so no one? really? USB people and HOST this opens milions of options and no one cares? please write if you find out something
No 1 ready to make this happening for Omnia..
C'mon guys.. this peice of driver is so usefull... No developer here interested.?
Maybe samsung might have some kind of template driver -- a starting point that they could give us? Although I know they are not very fond of working with 3rd party dev community, they are all about android now and wp7 so maybe if we find a nice enough employee he could make this happen without someone noticing?
Other than that I really don't think anyone is gonna spend time on this considering it's such an old device. Oh well.

That one. I sent the guy who posted it a message asking how he did it.
His explanation:
Nyditot Virtual Display (use to change your device to vga display) : link removed. buy it at www.nyditot.com
manila.1.0.0103.0.release: http://www.box.net/shared/static/dx2lix9ssw.rar
edit: looks like he linked me to a download for warez. link removed to appease the mods/admins general consensus that pirating is bad.
So, it appears that it's just as slow as all of the other attempts on board at porting manilla over.

Made before any 3d drivers were available... so it could work.

Let us know how it works!
I was hoping to get some feedback whether anybody is knowing about this cab file before I start ruin my Kaiser ...
I have seen it it running last week on my friends Kaiser (from the US) and he told me that this piecs of software is speeding things up. But it was during a exhbition for only a couple of seconds and than there was no more time for me to have a closer look. Now I got it but I am not quite sure whether I should dare to to give it a try.

Why don't you share the file and let the others try?
If you are worried to try that cab out, why don't you share the cab to this community. Maybe there will be some of us who's gonna try it
Here it is, I was not sure whether I should poste a file right away and get 97 flames because this is known allready (and I must confess that I have not expected that this could be a new information to the community) ..., so therefore I was trying to ask 1st

PS: Another reason was and is also that I want to avoid making a program public what the developer does not want because it is in an early stage or so, because I have seen discussions that developers stopped their work because some internal beta testers shared the program with the public

I have DL it so will try out soon and report back.
MAC
I tried it out and i dont know if it is working or not. I will get back with some updates. I am playing with the screen sensitivity right now. Some of the options wont work..like with the g-sensor.
unfortunately it does not set any reg-entries which we could interpret
I extracted the .exe (which is the only thing in this cab)... don't know what it does ...
if you don't want to install, this is the .exe from cab file

Sorry for the trouble I created, just tested the software and found easily the link of the source.
My friend made it very strange and told me he got this "secret" program at a "corner" from a Chinese guy and that it would increase the clock speed.
From the web site what I understood on the fly is that it is basicaly setting some regestries. Pritty much the same as the dedicated Kaiser Tweak or Schaps Advanced config can do (but those ones are better)
Sorry guys I have not found "Pandoras Box" to speed up the Kaiser

See the problem with what you're saying is...... YOU! Amazing huh? Why not reconsider the fact that not all of us are as "Tech Savy" as you... and not nearly as ignorant. Also, let's consider that he came to a DEVELOPER FORUM for help. You know the place where people trade ideas and software. So, let's all take a quick life lesson from this... If you don't have anything useful to provide, leave it alone. Just because we're 12 and Mommy and Daddy bought us a nice little PC and a cool phone and are too negligent to pay attention to the Bovine Fecal Matter that the little "Monkey" has managed to spread on the internet, doesn't mean the rest of the world wishes to hear your ignorance.
Now, Numb Nuts over here was right about one thing... Google. Search google for "SNES" "NES". The best I've found is PocketNester but it doesn't support Landscape mode which is a little disappointing. (Mario Bros looks awful in Portrait haha)
Second do a search for some of you're favorite games and save all of this in a folder on you're comp.
Using the Date Cable out of the box you can do one of two things.
First plug in the cable and either select Active Sync or Disk Drive.
Disk Drive is a little more convenient but only works with a MicroSD inserted.
Disk Drive - Drag and drop your folder of games on to the phone.
Active Sync - Once its connected, select Tools - Explore Pocket PC on your comp and Drag and Drop directly in to the phone.
Unplug and Navigate to the File Explorer. (Start-Programs-Tools- File Explorer) Select the Nester Cab and install it to the device. Open the Nester Program and the rest should be self explanatory from there.
Good Luck.
Does anyone have any suggestion for a way to control emulators? The keyboard gets the job done, but it's far from great, any suggestions for an external controller? Someone in another thread mentioned using a PS3 controller over bluetooth as a possibility, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done yet.

Ok, the operational/usable emulators I have working:
PocketNESter Plus - this version was made specifically for the Dash and other landscape screens. Works perfectly on every HTC I've owned 'cept the G1 (for obvious reasons). I'm using it on an excalibur, a tilt, and a raphael as we speak.
PocketSNES: this one takes too much horsepower for the Excalibur, but the others run it fine..one problem here is that I've been unable to get sound working as of yet..tho this is really a minor problem for most games.
I'll be trying more soon

Sorry my friend, I've tried every form of control I can think of and only the keyboard is truly usable. It takes some getting used to, but you'll get it.
oh i see what about picodrive?
Look the creator of this post does have some good reasons to aliens a better emulator. I was able to run pocketnester however I was not able to get pocketSNES to run on my Raphael. I tried for about 5 hours to find a vga compatible snes. I found many links to vga emulators, N0p and Tila builds, however those links were down. The pocketsnes emulator developers website is down. I found one build called SNES9x for PPC Ver .41. This ran Chrono Trigger pretty well with sound. However this program has no onscreen game pad and does not register my hardware buttons. However there is a fix that makes your wm6 run or emulate an older hardware keyboard setting. So the real question would be does anyone have a working vga snes? If you got the original PocketSNES to work that would be passable. I was hoping to get the OpenGL version. I googled and googled.
yea i tried downloading pocketnester but for some reason it would not find my roms or load them up its kinda confusing

If you put some effort and search the threads on this forum you will find that there are few posts that talk about this theme...Anyways,from what ive read on those posts,USB OTG isnt supported, few guys that actually have tried and said that it isnt working(eventhough on the thread ppl are saying that the device has the hardware for that feature, but the software is the problem, kernels and whatnow,im just a newbie on this stuff so dont quite understand all this clearly
About the HDMI stuff, alot of people reported that probably its gonna work with the MHL adapter from samsung, the same one for the S3 and Note2,and that some sites that are selling those adapters have included the S3mini in the description for the support...
Anyways i recommend you to read the posts about this stuff
GUYS I KNW THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO POST THIS THREAD BUT AS I'M NEW I CAN POST ONLY HERE..
SO HERE WHAT HAPPENED I JUST SAW A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE ABOUT THE INNOVATIONS IN WP8 USERINTERFACE AND THAT VIDEO WAS SIMPLY AWESOME I MEAN IT AS JUST A PRESENTATION BUT IT WAS REALLY GOOD I WISH IF ANYONE OUT HERE ON XDA COULD JUST HELP AND CREATE A ROM TAKING THT VIDEO FOR A BASIS :/ I USE HTC WINDOWS PHONE 8S AND I'M SURE WHOEVER SEES THE ROM VIDEO WOULD DEFINETLY BE DESPRATE TO GET IT FOR HIM/HERSELF...:/ ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP GUYS IF ANYONE CAN PLEASE THE LINK OF the video cant be posted here so just pleasse search youtube for
"""" Metro UI 8.1: A new Windowsphone concept """"
HELP PLEASE
PS i dont know anything about making roms :/ and sorry for inconvinience
1) Don't use all caps.
2) There's a *reason* this site doesn't let new members post in the dev sections. Do a bit of research first.
3) ROM creation is not a trivial process even where it's possible.
4) Is there even a public exploit for custom ROMs on HTC WP8 at all yet? There was talk of it but I've heard nothing more.
**** some *****es to stop crying.
I suggest that you get familiar with the windows phone usage first, and then think about more advanced topic.
Also: For one, the video you linked is a concept video by a fan. That isn't a real design that is being implemented.
Secondly, the work it would take to mimic that would have to be done very low level, with access to rewriting the OS itself, which isn't possible.
