I saw my friends iPhone and it had a new program with video feeds featuring certain top stories.
I'd like to find a program like that for my kaiser. i've been using yahoo news mobile, but i really want video. and when i look for video rss feeds providers like ABC never really release decent content, in regard to length and substence.
if anyone knows of any decent free software that can solve my problem please post thanks.
Beyond Pod is capable of this, it's a very decent videocast/podcast/RSS application. It is completely free.
Hi - anyone have app recommendations for pdf viewing? specifically pdfs relating to scanned hardcopy documents? I downloaded repligo but it can't seem to open these sort of pdfs!
Double that.
I'm usually reading graphics heavt pdf documents (rpg games you can get in online stores like rpgnow) and been using foit on winMo. But now i'm migrating to android I need to know about an app that will handle those.
I don't want to spend my money for app I wont use.
P.S sorry for offtopic - is there any comic book reader on android that reads cbr and cbz files?
The HTC pdf reader can handle these files.
There is also a beta in the market -- BEAMREADER, it seems to work also, but it is very SLOW.
There is a office and pdf viewing program ripped from one of the new Archos tablets running Android called Thinkfree Mobile that does it all. You should be able to find it somewhere in the forums.
I love Dropbox, but I use it mainly for photos.
Unfortunately it seems like the droobox app doesn't show thumbnails for my photos which makes it very hard to navigate.
Anyone know a seamless solution to this (not including going through the Dropbox webssite)?
The gallery will show them also only after you downloaded. Maybe you have to wait for an update from Dropbox? I think the reason is that as long as you have not downloaded them Dropbox wants to preserve memory/space on your phone and only shows basic info. If the devs realize the tablet market is increasing with devices offering more memory and computing power they might offer a more "Explorer-like" UI.
Dropbox on iOS has 2 features that I know of Android version doesn't, one is the thumbnails and the other is password lock. both were working on the ipad. Why the hell are they different I have no clue.
While I do use dropbox for a lot of things. I prefer using Picasa if I want to manipulate my pictures. being able to sync easily from my desktop and having access to the pics in the gallery on the xoom is pretty awesome. That is just my opinion. I paid $5 to have 20gb for a year from google. I hated to have to move the files to dropbox since picasa will detect new photos or changes and sync them without me thinking about it.
I like them both but I find dropbox better for files and with Quick Office HD integration it is awesome for that.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
I use picasa for my normal photos but for patient photos that I want to update on both my computer and xoom dropbox seems like a better option. Also allows me to organize those patient photos into folder albums...
First, Scott Kelby's Photo Recipes Apps are on sale in the Marketplace this weekend - 1/2 off.
Second we are starting to see the first developer work for DSLR owners!!!
A Canon RAW image viewer is available now, CR2. I am also aware of another developer working on a RAW image viewer that seems to support other cameras, too.
really preafer use this http://www.anthonymandra.com/RawDroid/
It doesn't show listed on my market app and when I try to download it from the market website it says my xoom is not a compatible device. Can anyone put the apk here?
Thanks
Please someone can post the CR2-Thumbnailer Demo apk here?
Thanks!
Hi!
I want to be able to edit word documents on my rooted NST. I am using Kingsoft Office, which is free, but unfortunately it's rather choppy and not a smooth writing experience. Olive Office was even worse.
Documents to go has a pro version where you can edit docx files for £10. Before I fork out for this, can anyone tell me if they have used it on the NST for editing documents, and if it's any good?
Alternatively, can anyone suggest a good .rtf editor? I don't really need a whole office suite, just anything that edits rich text will do fine.
