I was wondering if anyone had done this and already released where there is some cool animation around where you swipe your fingers to enter your secret code. Like electricity or maybe those blue swirls from the CM "X" boot animation.

Here is a splash screen I made for my myTouch because I saw one similar and then couldn't find it again. I digitized the Android and made the sword from scratch (not hard, three lines) I labeled it Android 1.6 Rooted which appears very small in the right bottom corner. you can edit this and remove it yourself if you want.

What is this? is it a bootup animation?
It's just a boot image, it's a splash image no animation, just a still image. enjoy
WOULD BE NICE AS AN ANIMATION! pretty good anyway!
thank you, i'll look into turning it into an animation.
My boss and I are having a little debate/bet:
I argued to him that the screen off animation (like the old tube style tv television turning off) was PURPOSELY animated so that the colors appear to separate as the animation progresses before the screen turns off, while HE insists that this effect was not intentional, and only looks that way because that's how screens work..
Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? I'm 99% sure that I'm right I just cant prove it with fact..
Thanks!
LOL hehe sure its just animation Ask him where he saw phones with CRT display ? And why on so many phones before Gingerbread release they didn`t go off like that? And after flash Gingerbread they did HTC unfortunatelly removed that animation in their SENSE roms :/ So we still have no animation on gingerbread I wish i had display which goes off like that Its very nice effect novadays for people who remember those old TVs
I lol'd too hard.
Using nothing more than Accurate Aperture Labs logo, GIMP, and just about all of my free time today, I have created a fresh take on Aperture Laboratories. Turtle tested, Turtle approved. Speed is set to 25, and part0-to-part1 transition is perfect.
Now with Scientific GIF Samples!
part0
part1
By 'Not-Quite-Done' I mean my To Do list is as follows:
1.) Make the animation faster and/or shorter because my phone is a zippy bastard and often starts up before part1 sees the light of day
2.) Add a loading loop at the top-right, identical to the loading circle in the top right corner in Portal 2 loading screens, only instead of the Portal stick figure sticking halfway out it'll be our old pal An Droid.
[Maybe] 3.) Make a separate boot animation dedicated to the great Cave Johnson.

I like the addition of orange. I'm a boot animation junkie and this one just got cooler.

I spent a lot of time flirting with the Blue/Orange idea. I might be doing a number of color schemes for this same animation, and I will be making two additional sets based around Cave Johnson and Wheatley.
Here's a set of general-purpose lockscreen wallpapers in the meantime:
Black background, orange logo
Black background, blue logo
Blue background, white logo
Blue background, black logo
Orange background, black logo
Orange background, white logo
White background, blue/orange logo
Black background, blue/orange logo
Looks great.
I could make some kind of soft glossy effect on the text.
Also i could make the colors little bit different. (brighter)
Orange looks somehow little bit rusty and blue is to dark imo
Maybe some kind of glow effect like this. xD
I hope to see more great work from you
Believe me, there are six thousand ideas coming up right now, and glowy text was one of them.
I'm also making another couple of animations of GLaDOS (from some awesome vector I found on DeviantArt) and Atlus/Peabody. I might even toss in Space Core somewhere!
Edit: Ultimately, I want the GLaDOS animation to be official-looking so that I can pitch it to Ezekeel as a default boot animation for his GLaDOS kernel.
This is really nice!
where's the download link?
Holy herpaderp! I totally forgot to provide a download link.
I'll add it here as well as the OP. Thanks for that.
Link
Looks like I was able to trim out the fat after all. Here's a sample of my latest update (mind you, the animation doesn't run quite as fast as this GIF):
>>Link to the GIF that actually runs faster than the real product<<
Someone please append this to my prior post.
I love this!
Using it on my SGS2 with a sound from here which I converted to .wav
Taking notes from the default CyanogenMod7 bootanimation, the frame doesn't have to be full 480x800; It simply centers whatever's there vertically, and since this particular bootanimation's black, it should blend with no issue. One quick update and it should be running like normal (I know some of you testers probably noticed that the initial animation is skippy at first. This will fix that).
Edit: Minor update, but it's done. Same link as in the OP.
Forgive me if this has been covered, but I did a search in the Note forums and came up empty. I know how to change wallpapers, themes, etc. and I am using widget locker. How do I change that screen that comes up when the Note first boots up? --the one with the feather pen on it... I am using code unlock too and after I "wigdet unlock", I get the feather wallpaper on the next screen to do my code unlock. This is totally incompatible with the brushed metal theme I have going everywhere else.
I am not rooted yet, because I just got the whole thing straightened out with at&t this morning. Thanks in advance for any help.
I was having difficulty with this too. I remember in my GSII there was a setting where you could actually change the lock screen wallpaper. There is no such setting on the note from what I could see.
However this is how I was able to change the lock screen wallpaper.
1. Download the wallpaper you want
2. Go to the gallery and select the image
3. There should be a menu item called 'set as' which has an option to set it as wallpaper or lock screen wallpaper.
That's how I got rid of the stock feather and ink lock screen wallpaper.
Woo! That worked. I feel dumb for not trying that. I was making it overly complex, lol.
Thanks!

You can also go to Settings - Display - Screen display, and it will give options for changing lockscreen wallpaper, clock and weather.
Just like the title reads, I am not looking for a custom boot animation, I already have some, but rather before the boot animation, right when you turn on the phone, there is a gray Google logo and a lock/unlock logo that appears before the animation, wondering if there is a way to change the layout on this, just looking for another little something to tweak thanks
Always wondered the same thing,I know there is the first Google logo, then it flickers and a second one shows.it may be a permanent logo?

gotta be a pic somewhere in the files, I'll find it and when I change it will take pics
It's hard-coded to the kernel, you'll need to recompile the kernel with changed picture.
