Hello,
I'm considering buying me a pair of Bluetake i-PHONO mini BT Headphones. In order to stream music to them through Bluetooth, I need a2dp functionality, and AVRCP would be nice too (to control Windows Media Player with the buttons on the headphones).
However, I have no idea how to get this functionality on my phone. I searched these forums and found a large thread about a Bluetooth patch for the Magician (it's still active in the Magician forum). Against better judgment, I took the risk of installing this patch on my Blue Angel, but it didn't add any Bluetooth features and I couldn't remove it, so I'm currently restoring a full backup I fortunately made...
So apparently the patch isn't for Blue Angels.
Is there another way to add a2dp and AVRCP to my device? I have ROM 1.40, radio ROM 1.12 and Bluetooth stack 3900.
There are some threads about this in the Blue Angel forum, but none was very helpful, I'm afraid...
Thanks for any tips.
SAME PROBLEM
i have the same problem, i just bought a set of BT headphones for streaming music and answering phone calls, but i cant stream music because of the lack of A2DP. Ive been looking everywhere and cant find anything, I duno if anyone else has a resolution.
Check out this thread. The links don't seem to work, but if you examine them you can see in which folders to look on the ftp-site (ftp.xda-developers.com; login with xda, password xda). It worked for me.
If you have Windows Media Player 10 on your pocket pc, you'll need a hack to enable the headset control buttons (play/pause etc.) Look at my post a little further down in the thread.
Good luck...
THANKS, worked great, what about AVRCP? is there a little addon CAB file?
Glad it worked!
AVRCP is for remote controlling the media player (play/pause, next/previous track) with the buttons on the headset, right? It's included in the A2DP profile. At least it works for me, but I had to do a little hack because I have WMP 10. If you have WMP 9, I think it should work without the hack.
This is what you need to do (I copied it from another thread). You'll need a registry editor; Resco Explorer 2005 has one, but there are others.

In this thread, "leon_id"[/url]]How to force buttons work in WMP 10.
The buttons do not work because BtCeAvIf.dll contains some tricky code to control WMP. It looks for the skin file to parse it for the button positions and then send messages to WMP window. But the place in registry and the skin files themselves changes from WMP 9. So we need to fix both.
The idea is to make new skin files and force widcomm code to use them. WMP 10 should use the new ones of course.
Look in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Skins] in your device
There must be several string variables, we need "DefaultPortraitSkin" and "DefaultLandscapeSkin", they're the paths to skin files, portrait96.skn and landscape96.skn
Find those files in \\Windows folder and copy them on PC. Rename them in e.g. _portrait96.skn
and _landscape96.skn
Then open them in notepad (turn word wrap off in it).
Find "PlayPauseStop" and delete all in and later columns (remove everything after 0,0,0). This line should look like all other buttons defininitions. Rename "PlayPauseStop" in "PlayPause" and align all.
Copy the new renamed files back to device.
Create new registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Media Player\Parameters]
"DefaultLandscapeSkin"="\Windows\_landscape96.skn"
"DefaultPortraitSkin"="\Windows\_portrait96.skn"
(Don't include any of the " quotes)

A2DP and AVRCP for QTEK 9090
Hi Robrecht!
I've looked your posts and I'm looking to install these two features on my QTEK 9090. Does any one could give some step-by-step for this
process?
==========
My QTEK
Qtek 9090 (Brazil)
Rom Version: 1.40.15 PTB
Rom Date: 03/22/05
Radio version: 1.13.00

Hi guys!
Could anyone help me out? Well I've installed all the patches but still not getting the connection between my cell and the headset stereo phone.
I can use my bluetooth to phone calls, but it doesn't paired with the stereo. Every time I try it failed.
Does anyone had this kid of problem?
obs: I'm using the same bluetooth in both cases.
Hi,
Have anyone noticed AVRCP buttons ( next/previous and play pause buttons) not working in Pocketmusic and PocketPlayer. But they are working perfectly in TouchFlo3d music player and also Windows Media player.
Any fix?
I found this problem too as I always played pocketmusic; now I play my mp3s thru audio manager cause I don't know how to fix it, sorry.
that's weird, hope somebody could throw some light over this issue
no fixes yet? nobody got a clue?
is there button mapping options in Pocket Music player?
Would be great if this could be fixed
i am trying to link different applications with AVRCP / A2DP though without luck...
it did worked on Tytn II , though the Diamond seems not to offer the possibility to control 3rd party Multimedi applic's
Coreplayer 1.25 ; no AVRCP - only volume control
Pocket player 3.6 : same as above.
WMP -on board : all works, but the sound output is less than the above
I will try to associate file extensions with other programs and report back if this would solv.
i guess only disabeling Touchflo might solve this temporarely as a work around.
I have same troubles with CorePlayer too
When I connect my DS-970, its controls TF3D player tab
I try to disable this tab - CorePlayer didn't work correctly too
but WMP did! (
Reg tak request
I posted left and right requests to tweakers to have a look into this but without luck yet.
Advanced Config (or boinger66 add-ons for Advance Config 2.1) should be the most suitable solution though.
If you guys would liek to post a few other direct requests (no new thread yet) someone with the required knowledge might come up with something ..

I have got the same problem. Now, I post my problem to Pocketmind support team already. They said, they will get back to me. Actually, I am not advance user and this problem should be a known problem, unfortunately, I tried to search on many web by using google, hopeless!!
If I got any feedback from the support team, will share

There is option on the button mapping but it did not work with AVCRP bluetooth. It works on the handheld itself
Having same problem too.. have installed the WMP plug-in for Pocket player and enabled the workaround relating to play/pause for WMP A2DP in the config screen. However, still cannot use AVRCP to control Pocket Player from my Bluetooth car stereo.
Not a major issue, but it would be nice to get working as I've been impressed with PP so far and so will probably end up buying it.
Thx

I'm following this thread because I plan to buy a Touch Pro when it comes out in my area and I want PocketPlayer to work with the AVRCP on my new car stereo.
I saw from your post about Advance Config and I was curious if anybody tried setting the Default Music Player for the HTC Music Plugin setting? Does that help?
Advance Config can be downloaded here: http://www.touchxperience.com/
As I do not have a Touch Pro yet, I cannot test this, but I am curious about other's experiences solving this issue.
Until today, Pocketmind has not reply my question yet. May be, they could not figure out too. I posted my the same question in some other forum. One of the reply stated that I should find the plugin AVRCP for pocketMusic. Again, Until today, I tried to search in the google, I still could not find plugin AVRCP for pocket music. If anyone of you have a luck on this, please

After I launch your above web, then, I link to
http://www.touchxperience.com/
I saw the "HTC Music Manager" function in the description that allow you to choose default music player in the link but when install, NO "HTC MUSIC Manager". So ridiculous
My old Touch was able to map the Hardwarebutton BT to Start/Stop, so i could pause/Play by pressing BT Sidebutton.
On the Diamond and on the old Touch this is implemented in 1-3 DLLs. As it is hardcoded in these DLLs - it is definitly not possible to "remap" these buttons :-(
I asked in the forum if it is possible to use the DLLs from the "old" Touch. ... No interesting feedback by now...

Thanks for your info. Until today, nobody could solve this problem!!. I left this issue to Pocketmind and they said they would come back in 3 days. Now 10 days already. May be, they are also incapable to solve it : (
Same problem here with Mort Player on HTC Touch Pro (Raphael).
It seems, they changed the way BT stack interprets AVRCP commands, or hardcoded sending these commands directly to WMplayer, cause it is only think that works with AVRCP.
I hope this will be soon solved in some cooked ROMs.

I don't usually have time to comb through all the awesome stuff going on at XDA and would very much appreciate it!
Hi, is there a music player that can be controlled (next, previos, volume, play/pause) with the buttons on the stock wired headset? I can't use them in WMP and is very frustrating.
BT function for Pocket Music
Still no response from Pocketmind. Also, tried to search, hopeless.
I have installed this great freeware that enabled playing my phone MP3 music through the BT HandsFree in my car. I needed to add .NETCF2.0 to my device first in order to run it.
I uploaded .NETCF2.0 for your convenience.

I have this program as well.
I actually had it before the 6.1 update.
Yet, it still works as is.
Didn't have to add anything to my phone.
Why did you need to?

Some of the recent cooked ROMs are cooked with .NETCF3.5, and that will deem BTMusic program useless. It will error out if you do not have .NETCF2.0 added to your device.
Haha.. got you!
As promised I will have a look at NETCF 2.0 and this bluetooth thingy seems cool as well. I will test.
Cheers Asfoor.

Hi,
what is this software bringing more that standard feature (when I use my Bt headset with S2P for example, it resumes after a call etc)? I don't know BT tech so well, just got my S705, I would be happy to know if this soft can make my BT life easier .

It will only help in playing your phone music & songs through your car hands-free BT Device. I have not tested it if it works on the hands free headset yet. It is very easy to use, just enable it when you are in the BTMusic program, click on music player and the music should play through the BT Hands Free device speakers you have in your car.
Hi @ all,
is this tool also scrampling the sound like a big hall or a trashcan ?
All tools i found since today make this horroble sound.
Maybe, theres a trick for Kaiser ?
If i handish disable first the profile "BT-Headset" in settings, enable BT, enable the profil again it works with nice sound.

Does not hurt to try t and let us know how big the trash can is?
I know BT has issues w/ the kaiser if your trying to use the wi-fi connection.
Mines doing this weird thing where my volume gets muted lolz... always something.
Does this also work with CorePlayer audio?
Hi all,
My BTMusic expried on October 1st. Please kindly advise what I can do at this moment. Thanks a lot!
I don't use it for playing music through my car hands-free, because the music sounds [email protected] and the hands-free can only play it in mono. But I do use it to play the audio from TomTom 6 through the hands-free, which is very useful.
Friends,
I am a very big fan of SRS on the Raphael and I tell you the application plugin is pain to get working. As everyone has written before my post, it either works or it doesn't on their device. There are a few versions out there floating around and it does require a lot of trial and error in order to get the sound wanted from the plugin.
Now, before I start I have been through three Raphael phones due to hardware problems that I had to send back for RMA replacement. I am now on my fourth phone and hope it stays that way for a long time!
On two of the raphael phones, I was not recieving the full punch of SRS wow with the extra bass, compression, surround sound etc.. But on the other two same identical phones I had no problems with the full sound. At the present, if I listen to a song - doesn't matter the song I hear the bass thumping into my chest.. Sometimes, it can be annoying and other times the balence that srs brings out between all instruments is amazing. This is where SRS does a beautiful job bringing out the extra heavey bass without muffling the other sounds. If you think your srs is working but doesn't deliever the bass thumping in your chest as I describe for your mp3 playback phone, then it's truely not working...
I have included my screen shots, registry edits and the different device information for you to plow through and compare. Now, remember this is for the AT&T Raphael pocket pc phone.
Steps
1. Install SRS_WOW_HD 121.CAB and reboot the ppc
2. Install WOWHD_ARM_Panel.cpl - copy this file directly to \windows folder. It might take a few seconds to copy.
3. Change the registry entries before going into the app.
4. Goto: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
5. Change "Flags"=dword:00010000 to "Flags"=dword:00010002 (Note: Energy Rom 3.0 I had to add the Flag Value)
6. Launch SRS WOW from the settings and use the screen shot I supplied. I like the heavey bass thumping sound, so these are my settings.
SRS Software Versions
I could not get the other software versions to work with the raphael phone. So for SRS to work 121 is the only one that works. Don't waste your time trying the others....just use 121
Now, how do you figure out if your Raphael phone will produce the sound with SRS WOW as I mentioned above? That is a good question because it definitely comes down to the electronics in the device that HTC puts into the device. Should SRS WOW work on all devices "YES" but as I expressed earlier, it does not. I have already been through four phones and two worked and two didn't. (Same settings, reg edits, radio, spl etc). So there is something between the devices that delivers better performance with SRS.
Stats Information on PPC
Rom Version Tested in ROMeOS or Energy 3.0 (no problems)
Radio Version: RUU_1.02.25.32 (AT&T Stock Radio)
Music Players Tested: S2P, Touchflo Music Player (no problems)
IMEI - first ten digits I noticed a trend between phones. "15" works and "12" does not. I verified this with the other two phones and the one that did work also had a "15"..
3531420212 SRS doesn't work (Old Phone)
3531420215 SRS works (New Phone)
SPL
RAPH110
SPL-1.90.Olinex
MicroP-Raph (LED) v13
MicroP-Raph (Key) v5
PSOC-Raph Stage_CVT v0x36
R: 1.02.25.32
G: 52.39c.25.22
D: 1.9xromeos (RomeOS) or Energy Rom 3.0
Mac Address
I also noticed that the two phones that SRS wow did work on the mac addresses were close and similar, the other two were different.
I would honestly for those really interested in having SRS on their phone for the Raphael users, definitely use ROMeOS rom and radio I listed.
It will take some trial and error deffinitely. But in the meantime, the application SRS wow has to be handled with kid gloves in order to real deliver the sound.
Also, take note and back everything up before making changes to your ppc.
Please note that I am not the person who originally figured out how to change the registry values. Not too sure who the author was, so I can't make that claim only pass on to others what helped me.
Good luck and hope you enjoy.
Tvos
Hi tvos,
You mentioned "6. Launch SRS WOW from the settings and use the screen shot I supplied. I like the heavey bass thumping sound, so these are my settings." The screen shots you have uploaded does not show any settings specific to SRS .
TIA
what do you mean? they are there..
tvos
Good job tvos,
Thanks for adding the screen shots.
Does this make the htc audio manager stop working, I thought I read in a post somewhere that it does...thanks TVOS
the plugin for SRS does not work with audio manager. I tested srs working in S2P and other third party apps and it works fine.. something with htc audio manager or srs just don't like each other..
tvos
Thanks!
Seems to work very well on mine...with IMEI 0202 (early build). I am also using NATF's ROM with the .28 radio.
EDIT: After installing the app, the phone goes to sleep and never wakes up -- have had to soft reset each time. I have since uninstalled and all is back to normal.
thats good... its really hard to say why SRS works on some devices and others it does not. i know from experience that srs didn't work well with the two that I had to return but the other worked fine and delivered BIG bass sound..
thak you for your contribution.

SRS over A2DP
I have this working on my Fuze (SRS 1.2.10.0 from the MONX cab, including the CPL) and it truly rocks my brain playing with S2P.
I really love it!
If you are having issues with yours, here is the CAB I use. I am also including the REG file with the settings I use. Give those a whirl.
(Monx, if this is somehow not kosher, please let me know and I'll remove it, post-haste. All credit for this CAB should go to MONX)

Well, ensure you don't have SRS WoW already installed (uninstall and sr if you do)
Install CAB
extract REG file in ZIP, copy to phone, and import (using whatever registry editor you prefer - DotFred's works a treat)
open the new WoW SRS applet in Settings, and then close. (don't change anything)
Connect your headphones (BT or cabled, no matter)
fire up your favorite player
hit PLAY boogie to the very satisfying sound form your headphones
Have fun!
Hi is this configured to work in TouchFlo music tab and also change the volume? The other cab I used wouldnt allow me to change the volume and would also stop working after a call was received or made.
Thanks!

No clue, my friend. I don't use the music tab. It has worked flawlessly with WMP, PocketPlayer, and S2P, though.
i got it to work but the settings don't last when i use my bt headset. i have to open s2p & play a song, then minimize it, open up srs wow then choose internal headphones, then it would change to my desired setting.
it doesn't happen with wired headphones though.
Thanks!
Works great on my Sprint Touch Pro running JD ROM v2.15, OP's CAB worked, Yom's CAB did not (gave me a driver not loaded error in the control panel applet, even after a soft reset).
You should update the instructions to indicate that the .cpl file should be copied to the \Windows folder, and can be accessed by going to Start->Settings->System tab.
Edit: I changed the Flags registry value back to my device's previous value (0). I'm fairly sure the new value was causing an issue where if I put my device in standby with the power button I couldn't wake it up, forcing me to perform a soft reset.

are you talking about the separate file that is copied to the windows folder after the intial install?
i have added that already..
thanx.

I have SRS WOW working in the TF3d music player tab, with working volume buttons.
Here's how I did it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485732
However, if there is a simple .cab that would be better --- but I couldn't find such a .cab.

Thanks for the update.. Does the music player work after calls are made/received? I had to soft reset to get the tunes back on.
Maybe someone had the same problem than me...
I installed SRS, and it works great with S2P... But after install, i can't hear anyone when i received a phone call...
I MUST hard reset to hear my phonecall !
Is there any solution ?
I'm not sure why but, I've got this working just fine with HTC's Audio Manager. I've got a (relatively) new HTC Fuze (AT&T) purchased off Craigslist with Audio Manager installed from a seperate cab located in the Raphael forum.
Rockin' big-time through my Plantronics 590A BT headphones. Looking forward to kicking some tunes through my portable "stereo" (old set of PC speakers & Sub) that I connect to using my Motorola BT receiver.
Since I switched off TF3D I was able to control WMP from my bluetooth headset. But recently that stopped working - it may have had something to do with certain Today plugins I installed (and subsequently de-installed).
Does anyone know of any registry settings that govern how the bluetooth buttons for track changing and pause/play are handled? If I switch TF3D back on, the music tab handles the bluetooth buttons fine.
I just can't get them to work with WMP. I'd rather not have to do a hard reset. Please don't suggest any other music players - I already have Coreplayer and it won't work with that either and I don't want to buy any more music software, ta.
Thanks for any pointers!
