Hi Guys
As a avid folower of all the cooking and chefs i need some help
My X1 is still under factory warranty and seeing as the stock X1 was slugish , slow and plain useless i updated my ROM to the KOV110
Is there some way i can revert this back to the original factory rom so i could take it in for repairs still under the factory warranty
Currently the Sony updater just tells me to that the software is not recognized and i cant do a update of any kind
Reason i want to take it in is that the battery life is half a day from full charge and the signal drops permanently. The phone also restarts at will and hangs on ocasion regardless of where i am or what im doing.
Any help or sugestions will be apreciated
Thanks
hi
yes it's possible
in rom dev sticky section is all you need
pavelx1 thread for original (stock) x1 roms (is currently being updated)
biovolt thread for video tutorials (4+5 if necessary)
olinex h-spl thread to dl and restore stock spl
cheers

Hi guys,
do you know where to get latest official HTC ROM from?
Mine went to crap (keeps rebooting) and it has to undergo waranty repair. I also want them to fix slow behaviour and hence I want to set back the software to HTC one.
Could you please help me?
Thanks a lot, P.S.

Try to exchange the battery. I had the same problem with my wings and now it works... The warranty was not valid for me cause i flashed HardSPL.
I cannot answer which one is the official rom right now, but look on the xda-devs ftp for any official rom.
well there is more problems with my phone, such as thick green line acroos every photo I take with camera. That is certainly HW problem (bad sensor) and I want it repaired. Thats why I want to load original ROM but I can not find it elsewhere, not on XDA FTP not on HTC site. Could someuone upload it for me please?
hoihoi
Do you have something to this thread?
Did you have backuped your Hard SPL?
Otherwise, maybe I could upload my backup, if that makes sence.
Or is that imposible, an hard SPL backup from an other device?
Or do I give than my warranty away?
I hope I have helped you, I also hope for answers from a senior member.
grtz,
Niels

Hi,
I am tempted to flash a custom ROM onto my Xperia, but before i do that, i have a couple of questions that i hope someone here might be able to answer.
1. Is there a guide available that explains everything step-by-step? I.e. is flashing of ROM the only thing to do? or are there other tasks required like flashing SPL or something like that? (I literally have no idea what SPL and similar terms mean either)
2. If after having played with a custom ROM, i plan to revert back to the original stock ROM and settings... is that possible?
Best Regards.
Salman Khalid.

Hi...i'v now had my touch pro 2 going about 4 months now and i'v really enjoed the phone
...but thanks to this website i'v discovered i can have my phone looking like a customized handset...
here's the problem...
i currently have ROM version: 1.14.161.6...
any time i try to upgrade the latest Energy ROM it ends up with a connection error...
i just bassically want to know what im doing wrong if anything...
please help............
Have you applied the Hard-SPL first?
There's some steps detailed in one of the stickys for flashing for the first time;

odafone removal
Firstly flash the phone by Hardspl- ing it, this allows you to install non certified roms onto it
secondly download and install energyrom ensuring you hae a fully charged battery
works a breeze

Please follow the flashing guide posted above.
Any problems, please use that thread instead of creating new ones.
Closed.

pls search next time, it's all in the sticky section
have a look at olinex thread, start with stock rom, finish with stock spl

Make sure you flash a stock rom first..
Afternoon all,
I have a number of ROMS including my original backed up one, but after installing anyof them i am unable to update using the update service. I get a message saying it is a manipulated version of the firmware.
Can anyone provide me with a ROM that will allow updating? Or give me any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong. Obviously I have run the Hard_SPL to allow the instalation of ROM's in the first place. Do i need to uninstall this to allow updates?
Any help / advice is apreciated.
Thank you in advacne for your time
Stephen
hi
check rom dev stickies
pavelx1 will provide the stock rom as the first step (country/provider or country/generic)
then check olinex for stock spl
best
