just a quick noob question! about the different ramdisk sizes!
what is the idea of having all the different ramdisk sizes.
is it just personal preferance or do different versions of the [xda II himalaya which is what i am running] need different sizes to work properly.
please inlighten me as all the other rom's i have flashed my himalaya with had just the one nk.nbf to choose from.

Bug found (trouble back to old version [ROM] 6.5.3 25006)

Installed onto both phones and now testing it. So far quite fast . ImanD are you saying you cant change the ringtone on this version or the old one?
I did find that the old one messed up big time in phone ringtone and voice. I was using it yesterday and all of a sudden I could recieve calls but couldn't hear anything what the other guy is saying. I re-flashed it with this new ROM and its working fine so far.
Will report bugs if found :d

just add any mp3 of wma file into device memory and it will work
One thing I noticed I cannot add more information into the contact list. I have two XDA II's so I gave one to my dad and he wanted to add three telephone numbers however couldn't do it since it doesn't allow to add more than one contact number.
Could you give advise on that please?

Try to install .NetCF first. Most of those apps need it, but it's to big to cook it into the rom.

I didnt understand the concept of RAM in this version. I downloaded the file and tried to burn 64MB version. After installtion I went into the memory section and it was still saying 11.54MB left after burning the ROM. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong here?

Always try the ROM together with the UC. Without it, it doesn't rock, as it should!
To install:
Copy the folder Speicherkarte to a clean SD-card. (At least 1GB) and insert it into the device.
Uprade as normal, after that Hard-Reset.
Important: The RAMdisk is erased!
UC stops only one time and you have to press OK.
(No need to tap OK on the mortscript-popups)
At the end of the installation, you should set the time/date and lock the keys (if you want).
At last you can config the antitheft-soft.
Good news to all the ROM-cookers of you:
Add 2 files to the ROM and the antitheft-soft is hard reset resistend!
To all others, there is a little workaround to simulate hard reset resistens with the help of UC. (As long as the SD card is inserted on hard reset.)

Did noone find that is not possible to create new SMS?!?
Sorry, I think I cleaned the ROM a little bit to much.
I´m working on it. The reason I didn´t see it earlier is, that I didn't insert a SIM and I didn't try it 'till now.
PLEASE report bugs you find! It makes me angry, if my first released ROM is not as perfect as it could be.

There are some newer program-versions "on the markt" as the ones you used,
e. g. Total Commander or Version 6 of the Navi-Software.
I have a problem with your Navi-Installation:
First I used the older Navi-SW at your ROM, no problem.
Second I am trying to use the newer one, but it gives me an error with the map which seems to be pre-installed in the configuration. I cannot switch in the newer SW to the other card on the SD nor I can end the Navi-SW on normal way.
Can it be that the 2 versions of the Navi-SW uses the same INI-File or registry-entry anywhere?

For the map, you have to edit a file. Sorry, I forgot to share these files, that explain how.
They are coming soon, but I want to fix the SMS bug first.
Btw: There is a version of that program running on WM 2k3 devices, too. This version can handle 6.75 maps!
Of cause, there might be newer versions of special apps, but do they are so much better more powerful or do the have special features, that it is worth to change a working system. On the other hand, most of them are bigger and they won't fit. ROM is rare on Hima-systems. (Current G-maps is twice as big as the older)
The best example is the missing SMS capability, which is a result of cleaning to drastic.

Still working on the SMS bug fix. The fault was created between Sept. 13 'til 26 last year, as far as I examined. Now I have to compare, what I did in between version 6.1.9 and 6.1.10. Found the missing files and 2 registry data, but there is still missing a little bit.

There is still a little bug, but it is not a special fault of my ROM, it's known as a bug, based in changing the language (to German).
The device freezes on calibrating the touchscreen.
Maybe some one can write a small app, .cab or a mort script to change the reg key:

There is still a wrong link in the System folder. Backup funktion is corrupt.
Download and extract the patch attached to the first post.
Copy the folder Patch to the root of the SD card and start the included Patch1.mscr to fix the wrong link.

It is compatible with the extended battery and it should be compatible with the vga-feature of the backpack.
There is a file of the Net2.0 folder missing in \Windows, sorry, I didn´t find out which one yet.
A small workaround was to copy the file(not the folders) to \windows, but this wastes memory. I´ll patch it, soon, it worked for me.
I was a little bit to radical in cleaning the ROM to get space.
I still hope, that someone finds a way to write a working driver for the cf-slot of the backpack, because I saw a working 6.1 ROM at the Magician forum by some hero without a warning or any hint that it is possible.
So, hope dies last.

I am very new to this ROM cooking & flashing thing but it looks amazing & interesting to see how you make your devices look mesmerizing with all those features that you work upon. I read few instructions about how to install these cooked roms with RUU files..But due to lack of knowledge & experience, it doesn't seem to be working for me. I am looking forward to a Manila 3d or 2d rom's .cab file which comparatively is easier to install. Can someone please help me with a file or a link from where i can get a working Manila or any other Touch 3D rom's .cab file that i can use for my Kaiser..Your help will be highly appreciated.
I found one working .cab file for Manila 2d but it doesn't work in landscape mode.

Manila 2D does not work in Landscape. Also your ROM version is incorrect. You would know this if you read the whole post, and before flashing -G-'s ROM you need to flash Hard-SPL 3.29

Hey I played with the files that were attached in the link mentioned in my previous rep..A little shuffle with them And i made Manila 3D work on my Kaiser..I installed HTC-CA-KAIS- 3D Drivers..Also instead of 3D Standby attached in the same link..I used Mortscript..QVGA Touch Power & TouchPower + TF3D Stanby cabs to get it working alongwith an advanced power menu thru the Power button..The only problem is that the phone has become really slow now. Also the Manila 3D's album feature is not detecting any albums neither looks like working properly. I will try to install Kaiser Tweaks as i read in a thread as my phone is freezing while a call comes !! Any suggestions are welcome..Cheers

Glad you got everything working, but obviously when you download a lot of crap that wasn't meant for your phone onto your phone,to make it look cool, it uses a lot of resources. While TF3D looks really cool and everyone here has done a great job porting it to our Kaisers, I still think that M2D gives you a lot more " bang for your buck " with fewer problems and fewer needed work a rounds.
RESULTS
Well i agree Denko that this feature is not meant for Kaisers by default. But by using certain means & making them work is what "Development" is all about. I understand there's a price for everything that we do. And after all d research & experiments that i did with my Kaiser..Its not the "Kewl" thing neither the 3D effect that is making me go crazy but its simpy the efforts & the result that i finally derived through them which again has inspired me that i can go ahead & experiment and maybe create new things too. And I can understand on thing for sure, that for a technology freak, There's no end to modifications & development as it's an on-going process.You've yourself been a part of same thing for a long time now i guess, But for me its sumthing i've stepped upon, So i'l take my time & maybe react too. Though you might find it too small to react & childish too, But datz d way it is. Thanks once again for your wise help & suggestions. Now next thing i'd wanna do to my Tilt is Flash a ROM in it..Maybe by next week. And that's sumthing i'm li'l scared of because i dnt wana cause harm to my device at d same time. And even after reading tutorial, M nt getting it worked as my phone gets disconnected from USB mode as soon as i start burning a ROM. Also i dnt really know how to get a HARD SPL 3.56 on my device. I tried that but it didn't work too. Is there some video tutorial that gives a sneek-peek into the action. Anyways i think m going too fast for that, And there's no hurry. So what are you working upon these days ?? And what do you do ?

Than'x for your reply. Though what do you mean my ROM version is incorrect ?? I bought this TyTN II GSM version from an HTC Store in august 2008. Still its ROM Version is not upto date ? Well if it isn't then what can i do to get it working. And please just dnt show me direction thru a finger, I might need a GPS as m really not fimiliar with your technical jargons, Be it while communicating with you all or in the thread that you refer people to go read to get their answers..I understand it to an extent..But not good enuff to get it working at one go. Plus i dnt wanna harm my device too

Than'x buddy..It did work..Though made me work it out from noon till night..But after few shuffles in the files mentioned in your link + Some that i did research & found from other threads..Manilla 3D is finally working in my Kaiser with everything fixed though my device has become a li'l slow that the time when i was using Manila 2D..Anyways i'l use it for a few days & if feel its affecting the speed to an extent where its bothering me i'l remove it !! Anyways than'x for ur help though..Cheers

by your ROM version being incorrect i mean that you need -G-'s ROM. After you go through Hard-SPL just install TF3D. The HTC-CA drviers are cooked into his ROM and it makes TF3D a hell of a lot smoother and faster. So you don't need to install the drivers. Thats what was wrong in the first place is you didn't have the drivers which I see you installed in with a CAB but with them bring cooked in it makes it a lot better

thank you for your suggestion. But as I've mentioned in my previous Replies, I am a rookie when it comes to Kaiser or ROM cooking & flashing. So i tried to flash some ROMS in my Kaiser but it failed. I mean my device is connected to my PC thru USB..And then i go thru those normal RUU file initiation screen too. But as it turns into 3 color screen & status shows "0%", It gets stuck right there & gets Disconnected from the USB connection !! And what about HARD SPL...How can i get it done to my Device..Specially with the configuration that i have on Kaiser. Because like i mentioned, I try to flash things through RUU..My phone gets disconnected frm USB ?? And wanted to resolve the query that DO our phones come with a HARD-SPL already ?? What is it actually & Hw can we check if its there on our device already or not ?? I tried by pressing both the "SOFTKEYS" at the same time..all that happened is that my phone screen got locked (Normal screen-lock)..I also tried pressing CAMERA & POWER buttons together for almost 30 seconds..Nothing happened Well these threads help me to an extent as i keep reading. But if there's some specific directions that i can get specific to my query. It might help..Or maybe if there's a Video-tutorial. Plus if you are getting what actually my problem is..I mean with the device..like if there are some specific files that i should use for it to get working..Please attach the links if you would. Because i did check the video of Touchflo 3D manila on Youtube & it was quick out there !! Also i installed some Kaiser tweaks (KaiserTweak-nikagl-20080613-1711) as i read in a thread installing tweaks make Kaiser speed up a lil bit when using Manila 3D..But the Touch-Incall-Screen-Tweal seems to give some trouble as the incoming call screen gets stuck..It did twice today morning. So i have un-installed those tweaks !! So if there's sumthing that you think might get my device a li'l boosted up along with Manila 3D..Please refer that too !! I'l try to flash a ROM once i receive your response about how & which version of HARD SPL will b fine for my Kaiser..And how can i get it on my device ??

no prob i used it and it worked fine for me i just switched back to 2d about 2 days ago and im already thinking about going back to 3d
installing M3D really makes my Kaiser slow. i installed M2D instead and installed M3D skin i dont have any problem w/ it right now

Hey Senior..Than'x for all your support & guidance..I flashed Garmin's version 10 final rom on my Kaiser yesterday night..I had a li'l fear in my mind before i initiated HardSPL 3.29 & then Flashing GK.10.Final on my phone but all that happened very smooth & gave my device an all new look. Now what i am wondering is that how can i use Manila 3D or should i say 3D interface on my Kaiser. Or i must say you advice me what will look the best on my Kaiser. If you have any roms or suggestions upon what can i do post installing -G-'s rom on my kaiser..Or is it the complete package within itself..Please do advice me regarding this..I really would like to move on to the next level..Its really adventurous..Cheers to y'all !!

Senior I used the TF3D files in the .rar file as you mentioned in the post yesterday night itself as the excitement was too high & it was too hard to stop..So i worked upon my Kaiser till the morning & uploaded TF3D Manila. To my wonder the Incall Tweak was not required this time as the phone didn't freeze on incoming call. Earlier it didn't use to display caller ID as it was left hidden begind Manila Interface..But not anymore. I also used some additional tabs like the Additional 3 tabs, Call Log, Calendar & Command manager tabs. I also installed S2U2 v 1.52 on my phone. And now TF3D Manila works on my Kaiser like the Nitrous in the car. Then i used Flash Format & formatted my 4Gig card as it got corrupted a li'l while back with the folders getting unaccessible with some strange signs & i was unable to format it using Pocket Mechanic. But finally everything is in place & working absolutely fine herre as i have installed some more programs using the other threads for Kaiser software..Will try & add some Pictures of Manila 3D running over Garmin's DK.10.Final ROM. Will cherish this ROM for sometime & then will try using something different & better on my Kaiser. You can advice what will be the next thing that i should do which will be fantastic for my Device !!

Agreed. It really really does. A few minor bugs etc, but very fast and seems stable enough currently. Just a few small things need fixing =D
This rom will update soon, now im working on the greek version. but i think in 4-5 days i will upload next version.

I can't use the phone at all (to make calls that is). The top bar doesn't work when you click on it, ie clicking on it doesn't bring up the battery or anything. I don't get any phone signal.
Could you base one version on a X1i ROM. Or would it not make any difference?

Make hard reset, the rom work perfect
Ok. Will try it. Should I hard reset after it runs all the customisation stuff? Or as soon as it has finished flashing?
always hard reset after flashing any ROM! whats the point of running cust. process if you have to do it again after hard reset ?
Well, I have just hard reset after flashing. And the phone still doesn't work =(
Edit: Maybe something wrong here I fear. Phone still won't open on my Xperia. And my screen sometimes blacks out for no reason. Will try reflashing and hard resetting again. Very strange.
Anyone else had issues with using the phone to make calls etc?
Edit 2: Still no signal on my phone. I don't understand this. Is the ROM working perfectly for everyone else?

Calendar Issues
Anyone else have following Calendar Issues:
1. When try to add an Appointment, all the Input Fields are "at one place", cant enter anything [Calendar in General doesnt work well I think but I dont want to use an alternative Calendar App]
2. Contacts App last time worked when flashing this ROM, this Time it doesnt (cant remember if it really worked)

Still that issue, that the ringtones are broken. Without a sound or videofile an SD card you get stuck in Benachrichtigungen.
D-pad rotation is fine now, the menus and the blank lines between file are a bit to big for me. Scrolling is not that fun.
I think I´ll stop cooking myself and learn about xip.bin an that stuff and start my project later again.

Ringtones fix - there is no ringtone file in rom, also registry key is broken.

Got stuck in BT-FTP while, changing shared folder. Connecting via BT is fine, but the hima keeps invisible to the other device. While using BT Explorer the Speicherkarte is gone. Using the File Explorer instead it is no prob to copy to the storage card. The IR-port doesn´t work too.
I guess, it`s a problem of transfering data/files from this rom to another device.
There is no camera at all, to bad. Swampy fixed this in his 23001 build.
Video mode isn't as important to get it fixed, I think. But taking a quick shot is needed sometimes.
Can't find the option to shut down word suggestion!?! ( even cplmain,8 doesn´t work)

thanks for testing.
For the sign to change or remove, search the registry with editor for Teijak and change it to whatever you like.
In some newer builds originaly was a beta sign with expiere date - i took some sys parts of this build to update my rom but like you see not all is working. Its hard to build a full working rom because we have only 32mb of space. If i find time i will try to get the problems fixed.

OK, Finally you got me! So, I had my outcomming. Here's another one - I bought a use BA yesterday. I can't wait, 'till I'll get it.
BTW, your rom is nearly perfect now. The device is visible on BT, BT is working bidirectional, camera is fine, IR is usable.
Here's a little workaround for BT FTP:
Change the function of the record button to OK to quit changing the shared BT folder (eg to /Speicherkarte).

Open any regeditor you like and search the Key HKLM/Softare/Microsoft/Shell/DeviceBete/Expiry and change it to WM6.5TT.V3 or whatever you like. (Same is in /Today as Teijak posted.
Search for /Sip/suggwords and change to 0, in case you don' want to get word suggestions while writing.

Finger keyboard would not work, could you send me cab you want to use? i will try to 'convert it'.
Bubble breaker is really hard thing to do. Since M$sheeeeep does't provide bubble damager/shooter/killer/breaker with 6.5.x, we doesn't have version which will support bottom bar.
yes I know 28205 had bubble shi.. shooter, but it doesnt work for a while.

Mr.aeroflyluby, the original version of windows Phone 6.5.x have normally installed an arabizer and cute keyboard, and i`ve known that the cookers delete them cause of the memory!!!
can you please leave it in the final edition???

I think some of the screen shots i attached would answer some of your questions and some of the improvements you could make out of this rom and since bubble breaker is not functioning i would suggest for luby to just remove it anyway solitaire is still there. With regards to input option you could install ezinput and of course you have the option to change the start menu and the lockscreen with the help of available cabs in this forum

I will try to solve keyboard issue.
Making this rom will complete in next 2 days, maybe faster.
It takes some time to do because I'm developing aero visual kitchen which I want to release with this rom.
Anyway, for now, everything seem to be okay, but I rather to test it.
One screenshot from the kitchen is attached with this post. I really know that it doesn't make much difference, but at least it seems professional. Also Include list works well.
Kitchen has another file structure now, it is more clear and easy.
But if you like it, wait some time. :d
ediiiit: I have conception why finger keyboard doesn't work, may it require NETCF? It doesn't in my rom, because it takes 7 mbs! omg!
I will try to prepare netcf 3.5 and 4.0 cabs to install. Also you can try to install it from m$ official instalators, but when I tried to install 3.5 it thrown me an exception because of something blabla, You should try to install 3.5, if it fail install 2.0 and then 3.5
