it does require root... for something simple, virtudude is pretty decent... For something with more bells and whistles, there is also soulife's rogers which is pretty good.

Did you root this yourself or just got it from google?
Cause I really don't want to screw up my phone by flashing a faulty rom that someone just randomly posted on the internet.
Or isn't it possible to brick a phone just by flashing a faulty rom?
No, I havent rooted it. I got it from this forum. If you search you may find the actual thread. Maybe Blayo......cant be sure. I havent flashed it yet.

seriously? I've tried searching before posting, quite a lot actually never found a threat, neither do I now :s
But if it's from xda it'll be safe I guess
search for arzme in members list and then all posts by him and you may find the thread and confirm its validity yourself.
i have downgraded my legend because i wanted to root.
But i think that i dont want it anymore. Can i just start this and then i have 2.05 again.
for this i dont need root right? because i only have downgraded.
I've just tried it, when I booted it for the first time it said something in chinees or tawanese I don't know. It also doesn't have dutch
Anyone who knows a rooted 2.05 rom which has dutch?
thx in advance

[Q] How to switch back to Stock-Rom?

Hello Guys,
i want to sell my Incredible S and now its my turn to flash it back to the original HTC-Stock Rom. Till now i used the Android Revolution Rom with a EXT4 Clockwork / Recovery Mode . The Incredible was bought in Germany so the Languange of the Stock-Rom should be German or Multilanguange.
I allready checked this Thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922
but i dont know which of those roms is the one iam looking for nor how to flash it back. Do i simply use a RUU-Installer or do i flash it like i did with the custom rom?
Thank you for your help!

You can just flash the RUU. I managed to get my phone back to stock that way. Others needed an extra step, changing the hboot first. I did not. But use the search function. This question is already asked and answered many times now...
Use the WWE variant...

Hello wallytax,
thank you much for your answer. I realy tried the search-function but i was not able to find a helpfull thread about my question. Sorry about that.
So this one would make it :
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.12.405.7_Radio_20 .2804.30.085AU_3805.04.03.22_M_release_187295_sign ed
?
As much as i understand "WWE" means "World Wide English". Is this also Multilanguange (for german)?

Yes the WWE ROM is also multi-language with German.
I used this one:
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.30.405.1_Radio_20 .2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M_release_199308_sign ed
This is the newest Stock rom... Good luck! Hope you will succeed..
Hi Guys,
i tried the RUU-Installer wallytax mentioned. It worked like a charm!
i just had to install HTC-Sync Software and after that the Update went trough without any problem.
Thank you very much!
Make sure your phone is s-on before you sell it.

There isn't CDMA support mentioned. That's probably the issue. Verizon is a CDMA carrier. I guess GSM network is only working.
Im not sure, could be wrong. But usually, if a rom supports CDMA networks, the OP mentions it in his rom
