tilt 2 help - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

I got a new til2 and it is slow , I can't watch tv or lisening streming radio like in my t- mobile wings . what is the best room for it?
thanks

ROMs are a very personal thing, and there is no "best ROM" or "recommended ROM". Nobody has the exact same ROM preferences, and any of the ROMs found here will work just fine on your device. If you want to flash ROMs, you need to flash all of them until you find the ROM you like. These threads are specifically against the rules of XDA simply because there is no best ROM, and these threads tend to lead to flaming. Basically, just flash ROMs until you find one you like

I apologice .thanks a lot

Favorite Roms

Hi all,
I just got a new Kaiser/Tilt and have unlocked it, etc and now I'm ready to flash it with a new rom. I've read a lot about Dutty's kitchen and now I'm wondering what your favorite flavor is? My network is tmo usa and I'd love it if any of the roms included all of the tmo network settings.
Anyway, any opinions would be appreciated.
Not to be an a$$hole, but if you researched this topic there are well over 100 threads pertaining to " favorite roms" . The truthful answer is that it all depends on what you are specifically looking for in a rom. Do you want one loaded with apps and games ? Loaded with Bloatware? A light version with no interface? Do you like the looks of Manilla 2D / 3D? Do you like the looks of ThrottleLauncher? Do you like the looks of HTC home? Do you like the looks of a stock WM today screen? What do you use the phone for? Streaming video / audio primarily or performing remote access into servers?
There is no " Best rom ". The Best rom is the one that you specifically like. It is all a matter of opinion. Just a heads up, read a bit and learn what all the features i mentioned are. That for sure will help you decide ( Manilla,HTC Home, Throttlelauncher, Ect.) which home screen you will want in your rom.
Im not flaming you, but rather telling you as nicely as I can.....read the WIKI..... Use the search buttons..... Mods here dont take kindly to people wantng to be spoon fed ( not that this is what youre asking).
Just go to the ROM Downloading page, look at all the flavors.....check out screenshots....give them a flash and test to see if you like the feel of it.
Goodluck and welcome to XDA
P.S.
As far as your carrier goes, you can swap pretty much any radio to give a test ( provided it says its compatible) . Some may give better signal for your carrier in your specfic location than others will. Just note that the Radio ROM and the OS ROM are two separate things to look at.
As the rules for posting state, all "best rom" threads will be closed.

New ROM for Vario III

My Vario III has just about had it and needs a hard reset (I have used the t-mobile stock rom since I got it over a year ago).
I want to get a wm6.1 rom but don't know the best to go for. Could someone help me out by giving me a list of the best/most popular ones out there? I understand cooked roms give better performance...
These sorts of posts are discouraged because whats one persons masterpiece can be anothers rubbish. If you want to find which ROM will have the performance and features you seek then your best bet is to read up all about flashing (in the wiki here at xda along with links to various ROMs) and try them. Alternatively you may find that a hard reset restrores the speed and reliability you've been missing (especially if GPS performance is important).
....just waiting for a mod to come along and close the thread now....
Only one way:
Flash, and testdrive.

which 6.5 rom should i use help!

hi i just recently purchased a touch hd telstra and am about to flash it with a 6.5 , there are a lot of talented people here with their own versions of 6.5, is there one that is the most standard rom with everything included and which one would that be?
Goodness me, this genre of question is asked two to three times a day, do some of your own investigating and research and in future follow the forum guidelines, dont be so arogant!

If you have to ask, you are probably better off sticking to the default ROM you phone comes with.
i suggest to make a sticky with the title 'NO WHICH ROM TO USE TOPICS HERE!!!!'
but not even that will stop some ppl from posting that ****.
You could even use the word KNOW instead of NO
I have a feeling this thread will be closed soon.
No ROM is the "best". Each excel in some ways and its up to you to decide whats best for you. Its a bit like asking someone for some good music. they will only tell you what they think is good, not necessarily what is good for you.
what does this mean? youre gonna have to try them all and see which you like most (shouldnt take more than an hour or so as there arent that many)

Which 6.5 ROM should I use?

I have a Tilt, but there are so many Mobile 6.5 ROM's out here and I've been out of the game for a while. Any suggestions?

You already posted this in the rom section and a Mod locked it and told you that roms are a personal choice and taking popularity polls on roms is discouraged here. So why would you just repost it somewhere else.
Read all the rom notes, pick a couple that might suit your needs, flash one, if you don't like it, flash another. We like and appreciate all our chefs and all the hard work that goes into rom cooking. No one here is going to be offensive by recommending one chef over another.
I have tried them all, none of the 6.5 s met my needs, so I went back to 6.1

Custom Rom and Generic !

I know this have been discussed before but I cannot get a clear answer by searching this forum, googling etc.
I have been flashing many of the custom roms and they are all great work but I have too many crashes everyday. Right now maybe 3-4/day !
Usually the roms works better in the beginning but then gets worse by time.
I use my phone for business and very often I realize that my phone is just dead and no one can call me etc
I love eyecandy like Energy, Valkyrie roms etc but my first priority is stability today.
Which custom rom would you say is the most stable today ?
also .. I cannot find the last generic rom version. Link doesnt work?
Thx,
Pete
most chefs will say their rom is not bugless.. if you use your phone for business and important calls, guess you should stick to stock 6.1 or rather have a second phone
those labeled as final and unchanged for a few months or as stated above - stick to stock
sounds highly contradictory aiming for a stable and mostly bugless rom while still flashing latest wm betas...
search for generic in gtrab thread, those are not latest r3a but at least dl works
...and was it really necessary to open a new thread for these "insights"?

Sorry I didnt mean to offend or upset anyone. Just politely asking a question.
There are many many great roms but I just need to find if you find one/some particular more stable. Offcourse I accept some bugs etc but my problem is that the phone just dies several times each day.
Great work though to all chefs !

Stock rom
I have been googleing etc for hours.
I can still not find den latest swedish generic stock rom.
(I dont want the SE update service)
I want to flash with Hard SPL
All links go to the same dead link?

Another useless thread reported.
It could have been useful without all the ignorant no content answers.
You start a thread if you need answers that you are not able to find.
ie this forums sticky to generic roms is no valid.
Comparing roms from user experience is not useless.
Like a review with SE X10 vs HTC Desire.
Your answer would have been. Buy the both I am not gonna help you!
Thanks for the info I got though !

Start with the threads with the most views or top most threads (i.e., still alive). Read the very first post, view screen shots, feature lists, bug fixes, updates, etc. Then jump to the very last page to see what sort of issues people are reporting. Some are deal breakers, and some aren't. At least you can page back a few to see if the author plans an update. Even with my post count, I never ask people what to recommend. It's something too many people ask, so I end up finding those threads first!
Custom ROM images are free for many reasons, and the biggest drawback is the lack of guarantees that the builds are bug fee.
There are generic, stripped-down ROMS... you'll need to search for those or look at the stickies.
My favorite custom ROM is Touch X 10.9.1. I've had it for a few months after trying at least 3 different ROMs.
Thanks for a great answer !
I asked for the "most stable" suggestion that means I understand that they are not bugfree or totally stable.
Itje and Wildchild seems to be high contenders.
Anyway, sorry for this thread and thanks !
I promise you I have read a lot.
I joíned 2008 and this is my first thread.

@all: One thing more annoying than a question that has been asked many times before is a meaningless flaming answer. Refrain from making it useless. As far I can tell this thread has served it's purpose, and therefore I'll close it.
