Stuck in Safe Mode - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I am experiencing an issue where I am unable to get my N1 to boot into anything other than safe mode. I can get into fastboot, as well as recovery. I am running CM 5.0.6 and have tried everything I could find. Hard reset, soft reset, factory wipe, clearing the cache. this happened last night as the result of my allowing the phone battery to die completely. The phone wouldnt boot properly afterwards. Anyone have any suggestions, having the phone in safemode is a bummer. Thanks

HELP! Constant Re-Boot!

Need a little help here...out of the blue today my phone started continuously re-booting itself. Only gets to the HTC screen and then re-boots. I have done multiple battery pulls with no results. I cannot boot into recovery either, tried that many times as well. My only option is a screen that I have not seen before that asks if I want to clear all data and then reset the device. Anyone have an ideas? Running Fresh 2.3.3, had no previous problems.
I had the same thing happen today. I had just flashed Fresh 2.3.3 to try to fix the GPS issue in the CM6 830 nightly, and my phone started rebooting every minute or so. I pulled the battery and immediately booted into recovery by holding down <home> and <end call>. I was able to get to recovery, where I flashed a different ROM I had on my SD card. I hope this helps.

Stuck at Galaxy S logo & do NOT want to lose data

Today I found my Bell Vibrant (GT-i9000M) with a blank screen and lit up buttons. I had not done anything other than root and lag fix a few weeks ago. Holding the power button brought up the menu to power off but it locked up when I selected power off. I had to pull the battery. Now every time it starts up it sits at the Galaxy S screen for a long time then goes to a blank screen and nothing happens except the buttons light up when I touch it.
I want to know if there is a way to get my data off the internal SD. I have some pictures on there that I do not want to lose. I fear my only option is to wipe the device and factory reset it.
Some help and advice would be greatly appreciated. I have spent the last three hours searching for a solution but I haven't found anything that might work without wiping my data.
Thanks
the data must go if you want to get your phone back
there is no way to repair the phone without losing data
Well the factory reset worked. At least it booted up anyway. I wonder what happened to my phone. It was fine and then I left it on my desk for maybe 20 minutes and all the sudden it is broken. :/
I have the same issue. How do i factory reset from here?

How did you factoyr format it?
Get into recovery mode and do it
Sent from my GT-I9000
Reflashing / Resetting Factory Defaults etc. do NOT touch your Internal SD.
Guys i got the same prob,did factory reset and the problem still remains...what can i do???Black screen,some vibraton,and the buttons lit,but nothing else.Any advices plz??
You all may be suffering from a corrupted /system partition because of the lagfix applied. Read up on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9365294#post9365294 to see if that applies.
These are too complicated for me....i tried to do the lagfix,but it had loopback error,so i guessed it didnt do it.I rebooted my phone just to clear the memmory and play a game or something,and never got on again...just stays there vibrating.So i did factory reset and still nothiing.
I have similar problem. i9000 samsung screen appears, then goes blank, and appears again continuous cycle until battery is removed. Animated logo doesn't even start. I cannot seem to enter recovery mode. I can enter download mode (dwn vol, home, and power) and I tried to USB to my computer in download mode to try and pull the pictures off with ADB, but ADB doesn't seem to see the device connected in download mode. Is Odin my next option? Or does that only work with unlocked phones. I was on stock 2.2 that Kies updated for me.
Pleeeeaaase help. My children opening christmas gifts are on the phone and once i get the videos I can just send it off to Bell for full replacement. They have told me that once it gets sent out for repair my pictures will be gone.

[Q] razr i xt890 factory resetted, but still stuck in a boot loop

Hi all,
Yesterday I restarted my phone, which triggered a rebooting loop. I tried removing the SIM and SD cards, which didn't seem to be affecting anything. I then tried deleting the cache, factory resetting, then factory resetting and deleting the cache, but I still can't turn my phone on. Now the problem is that as the phone boots, it tries to 'upgrade android' and 'optimise apps', but before it completes all this, it reboots itself again.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I've tried reading up on reinstalling firmware via USB as a possible solution, but haven't figured out how to do this. I don't know if there's a simpler solution.
Best,
Stu

boot loop & battery drain

HI. HAVE NOT FOUND THIS FULLY ADDRESSED. HAVE THIS USED S4 ACTIVE . ONLY BEEN ABLE TO USE IT FOR 4 DAYS.-STOCK 4.4.2 UNROOTED .YESTERDAY IT DRAINED THE BATTERY TOTALLY WHILE CHARGING. GOT A NEW BATTERY AND IT STARTS OVERHEATING SO MUCH IT BECOMES HARD TO HOLD. THEN I WIPED CACHE AND DID A FACTORY RESET AND IT GETS STUCK AT BOOT WHEN I AM ABLE TO TURN IT ON , WHICH IS RARELY, IT NEVER GETS PAST THE BLUE ATT BALL.ALL IT SHOWS IT THE GREY BATTERY. mY PC WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT, ODIN WILL NOT EITHEIR OBVIOUSLY. ANY KIND SUGGESTIONS??? WOULD LIKE TO THANKS FOR THE HELP
1. writing everything in capslock will not help you to get a reply faster my friend.
2. seems you bought a device with a dirty flash. someone flashed a custom rom like cyanogen, faced these issues, tought he can go back with a easy reflash, but didnt cleared the device by factory reset.
What i would do:
trying to get into recovery mode by holding volume up + power. if there is a recovery system on this device, wipe factory reset the device and flash a new fresh OS onto it.
otherwise you can use it as a paperweight.

Constant reboots

I've been facing a weird problem with my G800H since yesterday. The phone will reboot constantly. It will boot into android, I will even be able to open apps, but it will suddenly reboot after a minute or so. I didn't do anything to my phone for it to start doing this. The weirdest part is that the rebooting will happen even if I am in recovery mode (TWRP). Also, the phone will automatically turn on if I take off the battery and put it back in, something that never happened before.
I use stock 6.0.1 (rooted) and TWRP 3.0.
Things I've already tried:
Charging it;
Safe mode (same problem);
Taking off SD card (who knows);
Wipe cache/dalvik (phone restarts before finishing);
Re-install ROM ( Download mode (ODIN) doesn't open, insta-restart after 'press volume up to enter odin').
I really dont want to do a full factory reset, only as a last resort, as i don't even know if it will have time to do so, or even if it will fix it. Does anyone know a way for wiping the cache without having to format it ( takes too long in TWRP so phone restarts before finishing ), or maybe have some other way of entering download mode, maybe with adb, or finding out what went wrong. Any sugestions on what to do or what happened?
I (my wife) have the exact same problem, I bought a new battery which didn't solve the problem.
Also tried a factory reset, didn't help either.
It is a non rooted phone...
Next try is a custom rom, hope it helps...
Install an app that records logs like Logcat, set it in record mode and wait until the phone reboots. Then look through the file, study what happens near the end when the phone turns off. You'll most likely find the cause there.
