i wiped to data settings then i flashed darchlegendr5-05.zip... it stayed on HTC for like 10 minutes. i pooled the battery and when i tried to reboot it, it stays on HTC forever... Anybody know whats wrong???????????????
Why'd you pull the battery... -_-
Try to reboot it into recovery mode and restore your nandroid backup that I hope you did.
phone off hold down home hit power leave home held down boot to rec. wipe data then davilk reflash it and reboot
When flashing a new ROM, especially after a wipe, it can take upwards of 15 minutes to boot your phone. Just turn it on and let it sit.
If that fails, just load your nandroid that I know you made before all of this and start over.
Either you weren't patient enough or something didn't flash right. Try booting back into recovery, wiping again and flashing again. If it still fails try flashing to a different rom.
i think its working thanks but i pulled the battery because it took like 10 min and it didnt get past the first loading screen

Anytime you flash a new ROM, the dalvik-cache has to rebuild on the first run. This process can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes.
Open ADB Logcat and make sure you see lines of code that look similar to this.
Code:
dalvikvm\BEGIN:/system/app/app.apk
dalvikvm\END:/system/app/app.apk (success)
If you see that, it's rebuilding the cache and it's fine.

After trying the update(made cwm backups btw) the phone is in a reboot loop cycle. However, I can't get back into CWM in order to restore the backup i made or even the revo_stock or the stockrooted zip. I can get into the OS to the point where it wants me to select a language then it tries to find the SIM and fails completely and reboots. If i pull the battery and try to boot from the power on the USB it will reboot to the LG logo then instantly reboot again... Ideas anyone?
cliffs:
-backed up in cwm
-tried to install gingervolt
-stuck in reboot mode
-cannot access cwm to restore
Did you wipe data both times MT said? Maybe try wiping again?
Did you try flashing from a froyo ROM?
Wiped date both before and after the flash of gingervolt. I was using the decrapped rom 1.1
I would happily go back and try to clear the data again, however i cannot access CWM in order to do so after the gingervolt flash... Even using the power button+volume down i get no access...

I had the same thing happen to me. Although once it rebooted i was able to bypass the setup process and just manually do it from the home screen.
If you can't even get past the LG logo without it rebooting, I also had that happen to me on my last phone a few months ago. I called Verizon and they said that they had reports of other phones doing that too. Unfortunately I never figured out how to fix it. The problem was that it never stayed on long enough for the computer to recognize it.
Flashing Gringerbread ROMS from froyo breaks this phone. I did that same thing
restoring a back up is what you need how to get there idk
I haven't had much luck getting the phone to do anything, it will stay turned on for ~2-3 minutes then instantly reboot...

Ok this is how i fixed this i pulled the battery then holding power and volume down button at the same time turn your phone on hold it until you get a black screen asking to wipe hit the power button to.confirm now it will reboot back to cwm and go to back up and restore then go to restore and restore one of your backups deck stock back up does not work it must be one you made.

CWM reboot loop
Use this zip from thecubed it works wonders.
My phone would not go past reboot option in CWM
Search fast boot loop thread for further instructions on how to use it.
I pulled the SD card from my Revo and used it in my old win mobile Omnia so it would mount on my PC then I copied the zip onto the stuck Revo card.
Well after a few hours of tinkering i got her working... CWM never wanted to register but finally after about 100 tries of power on+vol it actually caught and booted into cwm. from there it was a cake walk until i got into gingervolt and it refused to allow the phone to come out of airplane mode(why this was even on is beyond me). after about 4 reboots the phone is working flawlessly...
this is what happened:
1) rebooted into recovery
2) backup
3) flash an inverted app via zip file - sucessful
4) reboot
5) i didnt like the inverted app so was going to restore my earlier backup
6) rebooted into recovery
7) flashed the restore
8) device stuck at "Samsung Galaxy Note N7000", cant get into CWM/bootloader
i had to go into odin mode and flash a stock rom
Did you try a battery pull and restart two or three times?
In the past I've had it stuck at the welcome screen a few times. I always wait ten minutes cos sometimes it does take a ROM that long to load, but when the phone gets so hot I've done a battery pull and then restarted a few minutes later. After two or three goes I've been lucky to get the phone back with the ROM i had selected.

i reckon it is a problem with "system" not data because i flashed an old stock rom and it booted fine
Is your ROM an ICS ROM?
If so then follow this thread to restore your backup
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613691
hmm
It probably crashed because it has different kernel, rom, CWM etc.
Flash your original rom first(rom you want to restore), and then try restoring your back up.

I was restoring a stock GB rom, no custom rom, no ics
Ok so I'm pretty sure my phone is done for, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew a solution before I go buy a new phone
Yesterday I dropped my phone (which was running Slimbean), but I popped the battery back in and it worked fine. Then about three hours later, it randomly shut off while I was using it, then started going into a bootloop. Occasionally it will start up all the way, but I'm lucky if its on for 10 minutes before turns back off and starts bootlooping again. I got it to boot into CWM, (the first time it shut off while I was in CWM) and wiped everything and reflashed Slimbeam, but it didn't change anything. Any ideas?
Go back in and do wipes on everything but external drive reflash wipe cache + dalvik cache + fix permissions then boot. Let sit 10 minutes before doing g any setup with Google or phone. This allows all drivers to load and configure prior to having more data to configure.

When i reboot after installing CM12.1 or RR using TWRP restore, i am jumping between them trying them out, the system takes 5-10-15 minutes and nothing happens and sometimes it boots. i have to force stop, go into recovery and then wipe cache and dalvik cache then restart and it usually boots in < 2 minutes. is this normal? it happens when i do a restore or after i do titanioum backup restore of my apps and data.
From what I've read in the forms those boot times are correct for a new install. There's a lot of things happening when you first install a ROM.

Right. First boot takes a long time.
Also helps to stick the phone in the freezer in a zip lock bag as it's doing a lot of work and can get hot. I'm not joking. If your phone goes 20 minutes and turns OFF without finishing boot -- the animation ran and ran and then it just turns off, then it got so hot it shut itself down.
That's why I put mine in the freezer. It also shortens the boot time as the phone is cooler and can run faster. The CPU won't throttle down.
Forcing it to stop and and rebooting is somewhat dangerous as something could get corrupted.
thanks
I'm trying to restore a backup on my phone, and it's stalled at 27% for the last 30 minutes and wont move. Is there a way to reboot the recovery and try to wipe and reflash a ROM or something?

TWRP sometimes does that. It gets really hot too. What I do is just use the hardware keys and manually reboot into recovery. If I were you just wipe the whole phone and attempt to restore again. You shouldn't have any issues the second time around.

Wiping and then restoring didn't work, stalled in the same place. Wiping, reflashing the ROM and then restoring did for whatever reason.
Thanks for tip!
