Problem with Wi-Fi

Hello all,
I'm having a strange problem with Wi-Fi. By some reason every time I connect my Kaiser to Activesync (using a USB cable) the Wi-Fi connection kind of locks and no Wi-Fi networks are detected anymore until I soft reset the device.
Anyone with the same problem?
Thanks.
Regards,
Anyone? Just me with this problem?

[Q] Cannot use wifi tethering

Hello everybody, I've searched on the forum, but I cannot find a solution to my problem. When I try to connect my iPad or my MacBook to the internet through my SGS I cannot surf the web. I mean, I can connect to the SGS via the wifi connection but it looks like there is no internet connection.. I am on Darky 7.0 rom. Is there any kind of setting which I have to make to be able to get an internet connection? Thanks for your help
Yeah, same issue with me.

Hope somebody has a solution...
Do you have a weak signal? I noticed when my signal is weak i can connect but the internet doesn't work.
No the signal is at the maximum but there is no internet connection..
any help?
I'm also having the same problem on 7.5 and 7.6. Maybe bring this up in his thread?
Edit: Im in an area with HSDPA for data too, but when I switch to tethering via wifi or even USB, it doesn't switch to HSDPA. And it wont let me browse the net from a PC. Browsing within the phone works fine.
check your APN settings if they are correct
If my APN settings won't correct I wouldn't be able to browse from the handset itself, which I can do no problem. Its only when I tether.

[Q] can't connect to a wifi

hi!
i was wondering, any of you can connect to an android phone running Barnacle? my SGT can't detect my mini pro's internet data connection (via Barnacle) but it doesn't have any problem connecting to my router or even to my laptop.
====
update:
just found out that the SGT can't connect to an adhoc network?
i've checked and said that the possible workaround is to change the "wpa_supplicant" but when i did replaced the existing "wpa_supplicant", i can't detect any wireless network.
anybody who knows a workaround?

Click to collapse
Just delete all your wifi connections and turn of phone then turn on and work

This definitely works on the P1010. Read the post and you'll understand how it works. If not let me know. And I'll try to explain.

[i9001] Unable to connect to WiFi 802.11n

I'm using the latest Arco CM9 ROM but I'm totally unable to connect to my 802.11n router. The phone actually identifies & saves the network but it is unable to gain access to internet. Using the 'connect to network' achieves nothing but the phone reports that it the network is 'Saved, secured with WPA2'. Disabling encryption doesn't help either, it still won't connect even if the network is set to open.
Other devices are able to connect though.
I have the same problem on my DHD. Connection is clear and the phone always finds my network but won't connect via 802.11n. 802.11g works fine. I've researched many themes in this forum, but 'no answer' always. I've just tried a module for enabling n-mode in HTC-kernels, but it didn't work. At the moment I'm using TrickDroid 3.0. Anyone has solved this problem?
Change your kernel dude

[Q] Can WP8 remember Open wifi settings?

Hi Everyone,
So at work, we use an open network to connect to WiFi. Log in through the browser and then put in the proxy details.
The problem: Everytime the WiFi disconnects I have to re-enter all the proxy details. Having wifi always on is one way to solve half the problem.
However I need to put in the proxy details every single time I connect to the network it makes me mad!
Does anyone know a way to get it to store wifi settings or to get it to remember Open networks?
Thank you in advance.
