Vaja case for Athena...

Looks like Vaja cases are coming up with a case for the Athena.
When you go to the site and do the following clicks, it leads you to a form that you can fill out specifically for the Athena. You can submit your suggestions. These cases are AWESOME. Let's get as many people to go in and submit suggestions so they know there is interest. I want to buy one of these when they come out.

well, the athena vja case site has been up since the athena was released, definetely since april. so that doesn't mean anything.

Ah, thanks for that info. Maybe we'll see something soon with the release of the device in the US and exposure to an expanded market.

UPDATE
Well...there might be hope for the Vaja case....
When I replied to Vaja that since they didn't know when they'd be releasing the Athena case I might need to get the available now PielFrama case instead, they replied that I should contact them again in a few days...
Well, a few days went by and I emailed them again yesterday....waiting to hear back from them....
For those interested in a Vaja case, you might want to email them asking when it will be available.....squeaky wheel gets the grease....

There we go. We'll see. It would be great if they came out with two cases. One full body and the other for main device without keyboard. I would buy BOTH!

Anyway, shoot them an email asking them for an update...

At present that model is not in our immediate manufacturing plans.

T-mobile USA Accessories Thread

Hey everyone, I know that a lot of people are eagerly awaiting the release of the T-mobile HD2. However, as noted, the size of the US HD2 is different so many accessories do not fit. So here's a thread where we can list compatible cases/screen protectors etc.
As of now, I only know that case-mate is planning on a release of US sized "barely there" cases in a couple of weeks.

1.5 mm does not matter allot

I got the Bodyguardz full body skin for my TMO US HD2, you notice the size diff. It doesnt fully reach top to bottom on the screen or back pieces. Also, I ordered the HD2 Dock w/batt charger on Amazon for 39.99, and the TMO HD2 does NOT fit. Friend bought the same one and his EU HD2 fits perfectly. I would suggest waiting for TMO specific accessories.

Does anyone know where the difference in size or shape is? Does that mean the TMO HD2 is bigger? Or just a different shape?

I purchased the pdair luxury case...

and it fits but not perfect. The bottom part of the case lifts up a little bit and does not reach the front buttons. Like it shows in the picture.

Just a heads up to everyone, I just noticed that Zagg has there T-Mobile version of the Invisible Shield available in both screen and full body and that they have listed as maximum protection (I think it is just Full body) but I am going to order my shield tomorrow and hope to get it by the weekend.

Size DOES matter if you use a perfect-fit cover like Case Mate's Barely There. It says in their ad, "will not fit US spec Tmo HD2"

I think if they get enough phone calls from TMOUS HD2 owners, They may want to comply with the demand.......give them a call as I did. They close at 5PM Eastern Time
CALL CASE MATE at 1-866-689-3432 AND HELP BUILT DEMAND for a great product. Ask them how they can offer a cover for the iPad BEFORE is was released and not offer a cover for the best phone on the US market. I offered to boycott their iPod products but it didn't get me far.

I tried contacted them; the first time they said they would have a case for the US HD2 out in 2 weeks; then I put a suggestion on their website and they said "accepted"; next time I contacted them they said they had not decided what case they would have for the US HD2 and the last time I contacted them they said they had no plans for a case for the US HD2. This is very poor marketing in view of the fact that the phone has sold several times in the U.S. I would certainly vote to boycott them.

I've called them multiple times; depending on who answers the call, the response varies. They need to hear from potential customers frequently to keep the request "fresh on the agenda".

Can you take a pic of the HD2 with the BodyGuardz on it. I am curious about ordering this for mine.

Ordered a leather case of ebay for £8.99 its basic but i do think its better than the cloth one you get with it

BAD EXPERIENCE with the seller.
I order this one on 22/6, havent received it. I sent a couple of email to the seller, and wanted to return the item if he had not sent it yet. He just closed my return case and reported to ebay that he dealt with me through email, the thing he never did.
I will wait a couple of day more before opening a dispute through paypal and report to ebay

The one listed above? The case isnt available until the 3rd July (as its says in the listing) so you wouldn't have got it. Since the 3rd was Saturday id have expected delivery about Wednesday this week.

I purchased the case on 22/6 which saved it was available on 23/6, he also marked it as despatched on that day. That's why I am so upset right now with the seller attitude

I ordered one of the super trader ones yesterday, its just been shipped, should be here in the morning.
Guess it will take up a bit less space than the oakley hard case I've been using to transport the streak this weekend..

especially the HD2 forum, some people weren't that impressed with them
I'm presuming Noreve will come out with a case at some point for the streak, their cases are really good, I've been really happy with my Hd2 one.

My HD2 easecase is really nice. It fits perfectly and is well made. Id say the leather isnt high end quality, and does look fake, but its been durable.
Ive seen some of those so call high end cases that cost £50+ and frankly they look like rubbish. Good leather, but not so well made or fitting.

I think you have given him more than enough time. REPORT before he skips town !!

I got my case from superetrader, via the ebay store, the link above this morning having ordered it over the weekend.
I suggest dropping them a line via their online shop, they have been pretty responsive in the past. I've never had an issue with them
Anyway the case isn't too bad, theres a recess for the streak and a cover held in place with two magnets. Not certain what effect those magnets will have on the screen or the compass. But we'll see..
Its not a tight fit, with the cover open, so it's pretty easy to get the streak out. It's a pity the internal compartment isn't see through so you can see the screen without moving it from the case. But overall it should do the job of protecting it while its in my bag.

- Can you fit it in your pocket?
- Does the flap have magnets in it?
- Does the flap bother you?
For me personally, I think the flap would be very bothersome. I would prefer just a simple slide out.

couldnt agree more. i would LOVE a simple slide out holster type case. had a blackberry 800something few years back and they case that came with was a very simple slide case. id love to see something like that for streak. infact when my case arrives i might see if its possible to take the flap off

belt clip is held on buy a stud so should be able to take it off but i wanted one on
it fits in my pocket OK but would fit better with no belt clip
the flap has two magnets on it and no it does not bother me i dare say in a few months ebay will be full of accessories
The flap is big but i do think it makes the pouch more damage proof if you know what i mean

I do want a screen protector too, but I only want the non-spray self-sticking (static cling?) ones. I bought one of those for my wife's iPad and it worked great. I bought a spray-and-stick one for my SGT8.9, and it sucked (Zag).

Well, MoKo makes good stuff, it should last a while, I think they are just doing the deep discount to get in on the Nexus 7 frenzy. I agree on the Zagg's, I don't like them either, but ArmorShield, Skinomi and BodyGuardz are all good ones, they all make dry apply and wet apply. I usually go for dry apply on phones, like my Galaxy Note i717, but on bigger things like tablets the wet apply ones are easier to install and work with, at least for me. The ArmorShield's are really thin, don't yellow and are not sticky like the Zagg's, which is one reason why I dislike Zaggs too.

Just ordered that case as well. Can't beat that price with prime shipping.

I ordered the case a few days ago and already got it. It's actually quite nice and more indicative of its real price and not the $7 I paid for it.

I ordered a moko one that has the magnetic sleep/wake function. Sort of a gamble because there is only one pic, but it looks like it can function as a stand as well.

I received my armorshield screen protector yesterday and just installed it this morning. Had no issues, used the wet solution that came with it. I agree it is not as sticky as the zagg ones. The armorsuit skin has already dried and looks great.

Right on! I have been pretty impressed with their stuff, Skinomi's are a little sticky, and Zagg's are ultra sticky of course. With the ArmorShields, the little imperfections will settle out over the next couple of days, and if for some reason it goes crazy, they will just send you another set out.

I ask because I ordered TWO cases from this seller. The one you did, plus the $12.99 smart case they came out with on Sunday. I wanted to make sure that this email was about the first case, not the second one (or both).
I am really shocked that they would have gone so far to help their customers for something that cost $6.99 shipped. I was actually going to return that case, since I got the better one, but I think I'm going to keep it just out of support of the seller.

Yeah, just that one. I am really impressed too, it shouldn't be shocking to get that kind of customer service, but the world being like it is today it's surprising to get that level of service, I am definitely going to be doing more business with them in the future!

Incipio are making cases

Hi Folks,
I emailed Incipio last week to see if they intended making covers for the N7 like they do for the Ipad and they emailed me back last night to say they are releasing a range of products but no details are available yet, but to keep an eye on their website and there should be info there soon. Would really like a Incipio feather case for my 7 along with a smart cover..
Hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have more info

Hope they make the legend case! Its the best case I've seen so far

These cases are amazing. I've Put some cash aside for when these are released. Even the international shipping seems reasonable. I'm surprised there isn't more mention of these on the forum rather than all the cheap plether bulky rubbish everyone seems to like! No accounting for taste!

Any updates on this?

Exactly. Google is selling tons of these things and it's been over a month now. I want to give my money to anyone that comes out with a "tank" case but no one is stepping up to the plate.

Maybe it's because lots of friggin people want to friggin buy them?
...or maybe it's because one size fits all and so it's easier to get one to market early.
No company can set up, tool up and manufacture quality products at the drop of a hat never mind them wanting to make sure there's going to be a sustainable market for it.
I realise that moaning is one of the US national pastimes but these forums are international and believe me it gets very old very quickly having to trawl past all these whinging posts to try and find the good stuff.

Oh please. I'm not one of the complainers on this board and my post was not whining. These tablets have been selling like hot cakes and it's been out for long enough where someone should be making a hard case by now.

i agree with this. i also believe google announced the tablet and released it 2-3 weeks later and didn't work with anyone on accessories. perhaps it was to generate sales of their case, but the consumer got screwed. i'm not a fan of the asus case. from day one i wanted a leather case and over a month later, i'm still limited in my choices becasue companies are still working on their cases. i emailed marware last week and they still said 4-6 weeks.

Incipio makes decent cases, but they're always way overpriced. I got the N7 because of its value, and this is going to carry over with my accessories for it. If I wanted to overspend, I would have gotten an iPad.
