which rom to roll back to 6.1 - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

I just "upgraded" to the official wm 6.5 release, and couldn't be unhappier. I'm on sprint and would like to roll back to 6.1. Just not sure if there are any stock roms here. Anyone got a link to which one I should use? I might even consider a stable cooked rom.

If you're on Sprint, you're in the wrong place. Go to the CDMA sub-forum, and/or to ppcgeeks.com (who specialise in CDMA ROMs). This forum is for GSM ROMs, which won't work on your phone.

Latest ROM for PH20A2

Hey guys
I was wondering what the latest and greatest ROM was for the CDMA Blue Angels. I have the Verizon XV6600 and it's a PH20A2 with the camera and all that crap. What should I have it upgraded to? Is it possible at all to get WM5 on it?
Don't use any rom you find here because they'll brick your phone. The rom here are for GSM phones.
If you search the forums, there are (were?) some people working on a wm5 rom for cdma phones.
Yeah, I realized that.. and I also saw the CDMA WM5 thread, but it seems to have died down once again. I don't know if they're still working on it or not.

Stock Sprint ROM

I picked this phone up from a friend, and am trying to find the stock Sprint ROM. It currently has a 6.5 ROM.

Thank you very much.
Are you sure you really want to go to Sprint stock? I can understand not wanting 6.5, but unless you are selling off the Diamond or giving it back to Sprint, the stock ROM is not pretty. Much better to at least do something like Mighty ROM 4 final, a good 6.1 ROM.

Need Verizon HTC TP2 WM 6.1 ROM

Hello All,
I recently installed MR2 from Verizon, its working fine with some little bugs, but ain't my thing.
So I need to go back to my stock ROM (Verizon TP2 WM 6.1). I've kind of exhausted searching for it (maybe, not looking at the right place).
Can anyone help me finding that ROM or provide links. I'd be thankful.
Cheerio!
Wrong.
Wrong Thread. But lets start off by saying your phone is CDMA, not GSM but here a website for "GSM" wm6.1 rom http://thewingster.com/wm61tp2.aspx the reason why im sending this link to you is for u can search the site for CDMA wm6.1 rom

Downgrade from WM 6.5 to old WM 6.1 (original)???

Hello!
I have a huge problem. I've had some problems with the battery on my HTC TP2 and in service they changed it. The problem is that they made an update to the software to what they call it is the last version: WM 6.5 with HTC Sense. I didn't ask for this and since it was a hardware problem I don't know what happend.
I asked them if they can downgrade to WM 6.1 like it was in the original phone and they said they couldn't do that.
I was wondering if I can get any help here?! Is there a way to find the original WM 6.1 from HTC? They don't have a version for HTC TP2 on their site ... So, how could I solve this problem?
I hate WM 6.5 with Sense because it moves really SLOW! Yes, it has many interesting things but there are a lot of badly made things . This is why I want to erase it from my phone.

Laurentiu

Yes the 6.1 stock roms are there too
cheers
Thank you!
And that is the original ROM??? From HTC? Released especially for this phone???
Well not all off them on that page!
But the ones that start with "RUU_Rhodium_HTC_" are the official ones released for the rhodium (HTC Touch Pro 2) by HTC.
You just need to pick your language or the world wide english(WWE) variant.
In my case i am from the netherlands and would have to choose: RUU_Rhodium_HTC_NLD_1.19.404.1_Radio_Rhodium_3.44.25.27_Signed_Ship.exe
Cheers
ps. in my signature is one of the best wm 6.1 roms i have ever stumbled upon. If you are not persistant in keeping your phone "official" HTC, i can really recommend that one. Loads of RAM very stable. Beats the stock rom in every way. But you would have to flash your htc touch pro 2 with a non official rom. (check it out at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618063)
Bear in mind that if your phone doesn't have HardSPL, you won't be able to flash most of the official ROMs (there are loads of them), you'll only be able to flash official ROMs designed for your specific model/branding of phone. e.g. I have a Vodafone UK-branded TP2, so without HardSPL, I can only flash Vodafone UK official ROMs, I can't even flash a generic HTC official ROM.
With HardSPL you can flash any ROM you like for your phone (GSM Rhodium), official or "cooked" (custom).

Since i have the "luxury" of an unbranded rhodium, i never had to think about that, but your absolutely right! Sure hope TS has an unbranded model so the choices are not too limited

noob tp2 flashing

If i brick my phone, will the insurance people be able to tell.
Do I have to update my radio with an energy rom. (I have a USCC TP2)
Is there a way to install a VZW radio on a USC phone for when my USC coverage is weak (most of the time)
I have read a good CDMA guide. thanks for the help.
You're in the wrong forum . This one is for GSM ROMs, for CDMA ROMs you need to go to the Rhodium CDMA sub-forum. Or if you are using NRG's ROMs, go to ppcgeeks.com, where he posts threads on his ROMs.
