THIS 23.99USD 2400mah Battery any good? - HD2 Accessories

http://www.smavtronics.com/2400mah-li-ion-extended-battery-with-cover-htc-hd2-t8585.html

looks tempting but the awkward shape after is discouraging

There's a review about the Chinese version of the extended battery somewhere on here, says the back cover doesn't fit well and needs trimming/adjusting.

is that similar to this? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140397767421&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
anyone got one of these, what do we think about it?

cases applicable for extended (oversized) battery

Folks,
I know that the official extended battery is not released yet, but as I'm currently thinking of getting a proper case for my HD2 it is intersting to know in how far this can be used with the extended battery as well (regardeless of the fact that the cover is gonna get the "kick-stand") becasue I don't want to pay another 50/ 60 euro for a second case
So please post all information available about any cases being designed to fit with extended battery on here.
Rumors are appreciated as well ;-)
Cheers,
LEE
As far as i know and i've seen there is no case available for that battery just yet. I'd wait until the battery is released and then someone may also release a bigger pouch that will accommodate the larger battery.
If you are worried about scratching your hd2 then you can get a cheap simple case for around 5 euros until something is released.

Case/Pouch for extended battery.

Im not usually one for starting a new thread to ask a question but i think other people may be interested also.
I have purchased the extended battery and have found that the phone no longer fits into the pouch, well it does but i had to use my teeth to get it back out!!!!
Anyway has anyone got one that it fits in or have seen one available? Im in the UK. Please advise myself and others. Thanks.
have a look at this it will fit the extended battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684662
Check out this case:

If you can get it in the UK/Europe it might work. Check out cases advertised for the EVO 4G. It is a thicker version of the HD2 that comes with a bigger battery as original equipment.
Cheers guys. I didnt think to look for an evo case or in Tesco lol.

will we see extended battery's?

I don't really know much about how easy replacing phones with bigger battery's, but is it likely that htc will sell a bigger power battery for the hd7 ie 1500 or something?
I've seen regualr replacement batterys for the HD7 advertised but not extended ones...not yet anyway.
As always, it's just a matter of time before Mugen/HTC/Seidio etc announce an extended battery.
I hope they can squeeze a true not BS 1500mAH battery in there without a new back cover. It would ruin the design.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
There are 1500mAH batteries listed on Ebay already but how can you tell if its the same old 1230mAH battery with a different sticker on it? Is it even possible to squeeze 270 more mA into a battery of the same size?
lol of course its possible.. have you seen the size of the EVO's battery??? that was 1500 and the dimensions were quiute similar to that of the HD2... so I don't see why it would make a difference
I bought an HD7 and love it. Battery life is not the greatest so I just ordered a 1500 mAh battery for it. I'll let you guys know if it is any better. BTW, the HD7 comes with a 1230 mHa battery (thanks HTC for going cheap here :-| )
Also, the Evo 4G which is almost the exact same hw device comes with a 1500 mHa out of the box.
rfleites, did you get the battery?

I'd like to know also... see if there is much of a difference.
Yeah I'd love to get feedback on the battery too.
I'm sure this is the one we're all talking about:

I've heard those batteries on ebay are fakes. There's a thread on the General HD7 forum.
I have just had an email from these people saying they will be announcing an extended battery tomorrow:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/
They look legit.
1300mAh extended battery with existing back cover:

3900mAh one with a new back cover (no picture yet):

holy sh*t 3900mAh?? really? wow if they work...!!
I'm sure it works. The qustion is do you want a great big lump sticking out the back of your phone?
Hey guys I ordered the battery but now I need a case that is compatible with this 3900 mah battery.
They provide you the battery cover It comes with the battery itself

I'll buy when you confirm whether it will fry my HD7 or not?
3900!!!
If that's available then why wouldn't HTC made (& sold) one themselves? seems like an easy buck

As mentioned above the big battery sticks out the back of your phone in a great big lump (they have a picture on their site now). It will also add a lot to the weight. HTC would never release a phone like this.
Why they didn't make the HD7 just a tiny bit thicker and heavier to squeeze a 1500mAh battery in is another question though.
I am not talking about the battery cover. I am talking about a case. A leather case or any other thing i can protect my phone with so if it drops or anything i dont want any scratches etc.

Just saw the battary pic Man this thing is agly.
now I understand what you ment. No, not for me.
I like mine thin and crispy
1500mAh?
Im not so bothered for the 3900 especially with the size of the thing!
But is there a 1500mAh replacement battery that wont need a new battery cover and that wont change the original design form factor of my HD7?

Extended Battery Questions

Anyone tried this?
http://www.buy.com/prod/2400mah-li-...on/q/sellerid/18118498/loc/111/215781321.html
Yeah, battery is good but the cover(door) will not snap on the HD2.
There is missing a little cam inside the cover....got two covers from my dealer (BatteryUpgrade.com) but both with the same issue.
Can someone else confirm? Because I have another battery door from a Chinese battery thats snaps on perfect.
I just want to make sure this battery doesn't have the discharge problems that a lot of cheap Chinese battery seems to have.

Cameron Sino battery 2400mAh

I just ordered that battery. Has anyone tried some of their batteries?

Very interesting. Not expensive at all.
It's cheap but it is too large for the standard case. If you get a battery pack that is that needs a different case, you could go crazy and get one these 3000+ ones. at that point it doesn't make a difference.
Excellent replacement I'm sure but having to use a fatter back is just out of the question for me.
Thanks for the link btw.
nice battery...but i dont want my back cover get some more weight...
This would be a dream if it weren't for the ugly back cover
It makes the phone really ugly! Better solution for me is to have a spare one, in normal size
Has anyone tried some of their batteries
Seems interesting, did anyone tried this battery?
Yes . I did once. a 3500 batt. it came with a back case too. performance is good. but overall looking is bad. its really big. so i purchased a normal 1500 batt.
