Hi,
I'm experiencing a problem with the ringer, whenever someone calls me or if the alarm is set then there is no sound. I've checked the volume, mute and even tried to reflash the stock EPE54B image (I was using CM 5.0.6 previously) but no luck. The other sound outputs (headphone etc) seem to be working fine.
I tried searching in the forum but didn't find anything. Anyone experienced similar problems before?
Thanks.

I have been on the forums for a while and I can't figure this problem out. My speaker for ringers and hearing audio in a call work perfectly. The audio speaker doesn't work properly unless I have a headset plugged in, so when I'm in a call I have to were the head set so that else can hear me. I have tried wiping and flashing; this worked for one call the next call back to nothing. I have flashed different ROM's and nothing seems to work. If I posted in the wrong section let me know and tell me where to post.

If you have wiped and tried different roms and the problem still exists sounds like a hardware issue. Call T-Mobile or HTC to get it fixed.
Hi,
My friend is experiencing the same thing.
did you manage to solve this issue?
does speaker phone work?
No, speakerphone does not work
I must add this happened after updating to Donut (official), and wiping didn't help. Before that - it was working fine
so let me get his straight. speaker phone and music does not work but ring tones do?
No, nothing involving the speaker works. No ringtones, no mp3, nothing.
Happened just after upgrading to Donut.
I managed to get it working by plugging and uplugging headphones, but that was temporary and now this workaround doesn't work anymore
I do get audio only by headphones. Call audio is working ok
yeah this is a hardware problem. my mic randomly went out a while back i had to send it in they should fix it depending in when it was bought. it going out about the same time as donut is just bad timing.
I have this strange issue of not having any sound at all. Suddenly, my phone did not give any sound, no ringing, no radio, or media, no earphone, really nothing. Because of this, I tried to reboot the galaxy 9000. The result was that it kept on rebooting on the start logo.
I could resolve that last Issue with a flash to a earlier version. But still there is no sound at all, even no bootup sound. Trying to flash to froyo again results in a bootloop.
In the beginning when I had the phone, I remember having an another sound issue that may be connected to this one? The sound of my phone calls was too loud, so I couldn't understand the caller. The only way to resolve that was to reboot, but after a while it came back. After some week the problem was gone.
Has anybody any idea what could be the problem I have?
no one has a clue?
I don't know why, but suddenly the audio stopped working. The slider's on max and everything, but there isn't any sound. Whether I use the speakers or use a headset, there's still no sound. I thought it was a problem with the rom (a CM 10.1 nightly) I was using, but I tried out different roms and the problem persists?
Has anyone had this problem before?
Update: I tested it out with a phone call. That works! But the speakerphones don't work.
I would ruu back to stock and see if everything works.. if not.. replace phone.
I just went back to stock, still no sound. However something I noticed just now, when I use a headset I can actually hear the sounds. It's just very low (yes, on max volume settings).
Yesterday I was playing some music through the speakers on my phone and the sound started to crackle, I just thought it was the app playing up so I just turned it off and thought nothing of it.
Later when I went to use the phone it didn't have any sound, so I tried adjusting the volumes up and down, re-flashing CM and clearing caches in vein. I then plugged my headphones in to see if they worked and found I could only hear them a little bit with the volumes set to max.
I'm now assuming the speaker amp has blown somehow, but not wanting to give up I tried calling someone and found the sound worked just fine for voice and so now I have no idea what the issue is.
Has anyone else had this problem? and how did you fix it?

Try going back to stock rom, and seeing if it works then
I haven't seen anyone else post this but after updating to 47E, I lost my media sounds. Ringtones, Alarms, notifications all were fine but sounds like touchpad t ones, screen sounds, game sounds and worst of all, speakerphone was gone.
I tried factory resetting and flashing 47E again but no luck. I had to go back to 47D to get them working again. But that didn't last. It's intermittent. And when the sounds aren't working, neither is the proximity sensors when I'm making a call.
No one else had this problem?
