I'm using my cell phone with BD3.1 with no real issues, however since i get alot of Arabic messages, i would like to be able to actually read the (Bd3.1 displays the arabic characters, but they're messed up heavily) so is there anyway to add language support to a rom WITHOUT removing the original language? (id like my phone to function in english , but be able to read any arabic sms's i get)
I don't know about Arabic characters but maybe it works in the similar ways as it works to support Chinese characters.
For that I would need a font with Chinese characters. Even then the support is not complete or on all levels (e.g. SMS supported but Chinese websites not).
Additionally you may need a SIP that supports you in entering Arabic chararaters.
Maybe you are lucky to find/extract a cab from the extended ROM area of an Arabic ROM ...
Good luck!
No, complete Chinese support can be added. I have already done that for Traditional Chinese.
Yes it's true. But if you just installed the font only .. it's not.
Cheers and Happy Chinese New Year!
This project is discontinued.
Please use denominator77 native keyboard which now implements everything this keyboard can offer and more..
works but dosen't show hebrew in the people search and also it's still LTR and not RTL , nice work anyways
Please let us know if working, if so it´s worth for writing an article!
Works on my O2 UK HTC HD7 but sadly missing key features
great job!
אחלה עבודה! כל הכבוד למפתחים הישראלים!
טוב לראות כאן ישראלים.
תגיד, יש משהו כזה למכשירי סמסונג?

hebrew keyboard is now available for search, contacts and all the rest
blutz, your code looks interesting One of the Interfaces is from a Samsung DLL, correct? From where did you get DMXMLCOM? Is it default on HTC handsets? Elegant use of provisiong files, congrats!

Great job!

you don't need to write backwards, it just displayed backwards, but it sends ok
(try sms.. )
as written in the first post, its only a keyboard layout and doesn't pretend to fix the rtl problems on the phone.
Hey guys,
I'm glad to announce that the Ported HD2 WP7 version fully supports Hebrew*!
SMS, emails and web browser displays hebrew fonts correctly and auto switches sides when RTL language is detected.
Now its left to see if this keyboard will work on it... also didnt test the contact names yet so cant be sure Hebrew is displayed correctly on these.
Overall I'm very happy!
Ok guys, I can confirm that Contacts work with Hebrew too. No RTL problems.
They names are aligned left however, not a big issue but I suspect it has to do with the Interface.
there are font missing in one note... so that app is out of the question....
Just a quick update, the office suite has hebrew fonts but the text is mirrored
I Have the HD2 aswell but my text is mirrored in SMS, Facebook, and probably more places, the contacts are fine thou and the facebook integration is displayed correctly.
The problem is only in the SMS and Facebook apps but probably appear in other places aswell.
BTW, I Can write hebrew, but it's always mirrored, no matter where I try.
samsung support would be awesome

Hi everyone ,
I`ve made a plan to buy a nook color after I saw the honeycomb on it, but persian language support in browser is very very important for me, previous versions of android had only Persian/Arabic characters but not showing correctly in the browser. characters are shown seperately and from left-to-right (opposite to persian language grammers). so I have a request. if you have honeycomb on your nook color , would you open a persian site in it`s browser and send me a screenshot of it (specially texts)?
Persian site like this one:
www.handheldusers.com
Thanks in advance and please accept my apologize if I should not post this topic here.

No Answer?
I think he's trying to tell you that you shouldn't have posted this here. I tried it, and it looks like it works fine. I can't get a screenshot yet, but I took pictures with my droid. In my best English judgment, it looks like it's rendering just the same as the computer is. I wouldn't buy a nook with the intention of using Honeycomb as the primary operating system yet. It's rather slow in many places. It does work though, and by all means, go for it if you want.
I haven't made 8 posts yet and I can't post links yet. However, I've posted them to my photobucket album. Go to photobucket.com, then search for my username- locofocos

Persian works perfectly on Honeycomb on my nook
hey guys,
Im thinking about buying hd7 phone, and wanted to know if it supports hebrew fonts. I couldnt find anywhere on the internet if it does.
I dont need a keyboard or masseging, just to know if the facebook application and the browser shows hebrew fonts so I can just read em.
if it doesnt support, is it a problem to make it happen? (on my hd2 it was great!).
hebrew
I have a t-mobile hd7 and hebrew is reversed in apps such as facebook.
I haven't managed to get language installed because i only have english keyboard, and the cracked keyboard doesnt install on it.
First of all, I own a HTC Radar which is a WP7 device. I purposely post in this forum as I think it is way more active than WP7 forum. The thing is: WP7 supports far less display languages than WP8 does. For example, there is no Croatian language in WP7. My question is, is there any way to "add" new languages to WP7 unofficially or to alter existing languages so their translations would match to Croatian? Or is there any way to use Croatian from WP8 on WP7?
Thanks in advance!
