1500mAh Battery for Five Bucks Shipped - Droid Incredible Accessories

I've ordered from this site in the past with favorable results. Shipping can take up to 3 weeks but it is free. This battery is for the Touch Pro 2 but should work with our phones.

Super! I have ordered from them as well with positive result. Let us know how the battery performs when it comes in. Thanks for the heads up!

That's a killer price... and they take paypal. Thanks Hexto!
My only question is... will adding 200mAh really make a big difference?

I was thinking of ordering one of these, too, but now I'm not sure if I need to. Ever since learning that the Calendar was causing my phone not to sleep, I have been being sure to keep that process killed. Let me tell you it has made a HUGE result. I unplug my phone around 8am every day and usually by lunchtime I have a battery that is about 40%. And that is just with moderate use.
Today I unplugged it at the same time and have been streaming BT audio to my car for about 4 hours straight. Now it's 4:30pm and the battery is still at 60%! All by just killing the Calendar process.
Hopefully HTC/Google can get that software kink worked out in the next release.

I agree. Ever since I found what wasn't letting my phone sleep, my battery life has improved tremendously. Also, now that I'm using TaskPanel, all apps that I don't need open get auto-killed when my phone sleeps. That's why I was wondering if the extra 200 mAh would be worth it, even if it is only $5. Anyone have any opinion?

I always like to have an extra battery for when I go camping or travel. Doubt 200mAh will make much of a difference but at that price I'd I don't have to even think about it. Its the price of a foot long

thanks for posting - I bought two to have as extras. They will come in handy at some point!

Where could I find an extra charger for batteries only?
Thanks.

Siedio has one http://www.seidioonline.com/

I agree that having an extra battery could come in handy at times. I have to say I am a bit worried about removing the battery cover any more than absolutely necessary, though. With my Droid, the battery cover falls off at will, and I wonder how the Incredible's battery cover will hold up to being removed repeatedly.

Would this charger work?? http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25175

My only question is, when my Incredible explodes after installing this battery, can I claim manufacturer's defect? :~P

I'd like to know the answer to this because DealExtreme has some kick ass prices on damn near EVERYTHING!

I don't see how this would work. Contacts seem to be in wrong place. The TP2 is different than the TP, but I could be wrong, it's been known to happen...

You would need to get the base plate for the TP2 battery to charge. Same as incredible.
Or you can do what I just did and placed 20 orders for my client for their incredible
Ebay hkcyberport
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...Category=20336&_trkparms=algo=LVI&its=I&otn=1
It comes with an OEM HTC TP2 battery and charger with the correct plate. It also has a USB(mini) plug to dual charge or plug into laptop.
$10.88 with battery and free shipping. I don't need it right away so the 7-10 days is not big deal.

yeah, it definitely appears to NOT be oem. If I had an order put in for oem and received that, I would not be happy

DX batteries are notorious for being over-rated in their capacity. Plus at that price I doubt if the batteries are protected from overdischarging...explosion would be a possibility.

You can also go to eBay and type in htc incredible battery
and there will be a bundle of 2 of those with a standalone desktop charger for the batteries for about 10-15 shipped.
You can also buy a 14piece bundle with screen protectors, styluses, chargers, the above battery bundle, and a couple cases and more for about 35-40$ shipped.

Well, I just received the battery from DealExtreme. Although it fits in the slot, it will not charge or power up. Either I received a DOA battery, or it does not work. Either way, save your $5.

Good Battery

here is a good one, i will probably be ordering.
i mean SEDIO is really pricey, these well are 100 mah less, but like 1/6 the cost..
http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-For-HTC...ryZ15034QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
seidio makes good quality batteries... personally, i would not consider the one in the link you posted because, if battery issues arise, you're pretty much stuck with the battery. conversely, with seidio, if the battery issues arise, i can send it back for a replacement (as long as it's within the warranty period). i've been using the Seidio 1500 mAh battery for 2+ weeks and it DOES provide more "up" time before a recharge is necessary...
i bought this battery only $6 w/ shipping so we will see.!
the batttery works well. It was a great investment. I can leave BT on ALL DAY, and still have Battery left over... Great!

Glad to know the batteries are great.
Just bought too from the same seller.
Thanks!
Great find. For $7 to my door its worth a try. Even if it isnt the fantastic it will make a great spare.
soo...?
anyone care to comment on how this battery actually performs or if it is having any problems? really interesting find...
thanks, Jim.
no the battery is great. I get through a normal day from around 8 am- 7 pm. on a full charge. BUt... i do use the phone.. Probably around 10-15 minutes of calling, 20 minutes of slingplayer mobile, 20 minutes of internet searching, 10-20 texts, read email once an hour, and listen to music w pocketplayer for X amount of time??? and i still have around 10-20 % battery life left at 6. Since i have the other battery, if im going out that night, i can just flip it out and its good, but for the whole work day and that amount of use (i have screen on full brightness as well.) it works great. When the screen is not fully bright i can get through the night easliy as well (hard to read in sunlight though...)
i also bought the digipower power extension (3400 mah battery pack) this is for skiing. I put it in my camelpack, and it lasts the entire ski day while playing music, with then some to spare. That is only $30 and its about the same size as the phone. The other great thing is that can also work for airplanes as well as it plugs into usb , so any usb device!! still only $7 for the 1400 mah batt, not badd....
thanks
thank you very much for that great detailed response. is that more than what you would normally get out of your OEM 1100mah battery?
like what would those figures have been had you been using the original battery?
Thanks very much, Jim.

And you're still not quite sure...
the 1400Mah one for $7 fits in the OEM case?
also, would u still have bought it given the choice of the new 2000MaH battery from seidio?
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=927
Yeah, the 1400mah fits the original case.
No, I would not consider a 2000mah battery because of:
- The price
- The bulk
- The additionnal back plate.
14$ for two 1400mah battery.
15$ for a desktop cradle dual battery charger.
S/H included.
That's all I will ever need!

well the stock battery is "good". but im not gonna give away $7 (even tho thats not much) if its not going to do anything more than the stock battery. thats...completely pointless. i was just trying to get some #'s on the stock battery vs the ebay one to see if it was even worth bothering with.
The only reason i'm slightly wary is that it's not OEM...
Is this something I should be worried about? would TEP through sprint still take care of me in store? I hate asurion...

Hi, sorry I wasn't subscribed to this thread.
Yes, they seem to work fine. I haven't compared them to the OEM battery in any sort of analytical way. My reception and programs I run vary so much that it would be pretty difficult to do a fair comparison. My anecdotal experience is that they work comparably to the original. How long they'll last (#cycles), who knows. If there's anything specific you want me to test, let me know. Yes, CDMA version of the vogue (Sprint Touch).
I also bought one, and he shipped a different battery that didn't fit. He insisted that I email a photo of the battery to prove it which I did. He said I was right, he had sent the wrong battery, and he would send me the right one. He also wants me to (at my cost) mail him back the wrong battery he sent me. I told him I would only do that when he puts $1.80 (cost of mailing it to Hong Kong) into my PayPal account since it was his mistake not mine. After numerous inquiries he finally responded that he has shipped a replacement, but it is almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received it.

extended batteries

Speaking as someone who uses their phone pretty darn constantly, I'm in need of a battery that lasts a bit longer than the stock.
currently, Seidio is selling an extended battery (I would link, but as a noob I'm not able to..) 1750 mAh - no new door required, but only a gain of 450 mAh..
Verizon has stated there's a 2150 mAh extended battery coming, but that will almost certainly require a new back plate.
Anyone spotted any other compatible batteries yet?
I ordered the Seidio one and while it fits behind the stock cover it also adds a bit of weight, which is great considering how light this bad boy is.
Seidio is also going to release a 3500 mAh battery in the near future! According to their website, it adds 3-5 mm of width. But for the extra battery I think it will be worth it. The only problem is I am debating on purchasing this because I had one for my tilt and well it flat out sucked after a month of use.
what do you mean it flat out sucked after a month, the thickness or the capacity of the battery?
The battery itself would barley last a day if I was lucky. Seidio just said it needed to charge like 8 times before it was full. It didn't kick in. Is this rare?

Did you let it fully drain till the phone died, and keep turning the phone on until it wont turn on anymore. Then charge it fully, unplug when it is fully charged, let it get back down to 90-95%, then fully charge again, let die & repeat. Do that a few times and your battery life should be better. This is what I do whenever I get a new phone...
We use LiION Batteries, No special charging required
OK, to start, there is NO NEED to do any special charging conditions with Li Ion batteries, it does not matter how they are charged. A standard battery will have between 400 and 1200 charge cycles before it loses 50% of its capacity (1200 if you charge at 50%, 400 if you charge at 0-10%, like when the phone quits on you). Ni Cadmium on the other hand does require special charging situations but we don't use them in cell phones because of the mass. You can do take the advice of the previous post, but if you do that I would suggest sacrificing a virgin symbian phone or doing a handstand while plugging in your phone to charge. That might increase the battery life too.
Secondly, I spoke with Verizon, and their 2100 mA extended battery will be available soon and it is supposed to fit with the stock backing, probably the best way to go if you ask me, only $60 too. I am checking their site almost daily waiting for this to become available since like many, I need more battery life, I find that I can barely make it through the day without being conservative with the use, and that's on a work day when I'm not on it that much, on the weekends I have to charge it in the afternoon.
If you want to save on battery, turn down the screen brightness, chose a background with as few colors as possible, the more black the less battery you will use since its an AMOLED, blacks mean there is no power being used on the screen. Turn off your GEO locations services both on the phone settings and in programs that run a lot. This will easily save you 25-30% battery life.

I was at a Verizon store yesterday asking about it and they showed me their documentation. Their extended battery will come with a new back cover that is slightly raised to fit the larger battery.
I'm waiting for this too because it looks like it will be the most aesthetically pleasing option.
Too bad the guy had NO idea when the accessories were going to become available. Ugh.

Verizon doesn't trust their employees very much - to prevent leaks, they don't tell people about equipment/accessory release dates til within about two weeks of the actual release. The Incredible launch announcement had one of the longest announcement to release times I've seen the the last two years.

I dont know, but my seideco 1750 def gets me 3 more hours a day on my Incredible. I have switched back and forth from stock and the extended...the extended wins EVERYTIME...so Im not sure about that report.
@ suzook
I read that my OEM TP2 rated as one of the best.
TP2 OEM standard issue Rated @ 1500mAh Tested @ 1414mAh
Most Likely our stock incredible battery has a lower mAh then it actually states it is.
@ Xxq TZ pxX
Yes it will work because its in my phone now working like a champ ;O)
I also told someone else here like myself who swapped from the tp2 ====> incredible and he seen it first hand as-well.
TP2 batteries work fine
Hey all,
The TP2 battery works fine. Same size and 200mAh more than stock... in fact I've seen them sold on Fommy.com as the thin extended battery for $44.95. Don't be fooled, and just go buy the TP2 batteries. They're cheaper if you don't need the therapy session of a rebranding.
Enjoy!
P.S. Got a workaround for Skype too...
I'm sure a number of HTC CDMA phones have interchangeable batteries.
I swapped out the 1500mAh battery from my Sprint Hero and put it into my Incredible. It's easily out lasting the stock incredible battery.
I ordered the 1500 HTC battery as well. Between those to staying charged I am not worried about it.
Also anyone know of a battery charger for these types of batteries?
For those of you that want a red 1500mah battery I found this but im not sure if its oem or not it just says its an htc extra capacity battery hxxp://shop.htcpedia.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=825

LOL that thing is huge!! It doesn't look that comfortable. I just bought a second battery as a back up. I figure that since I am pulling out my battery to reset the phone once or twice every day that I would make sense to have a fully charged battery in case I was low on juice or something.

Does the kickstand feel pretty sturdy? And, does it "snap" into fully-open/fully-closed positions, or does it travel freely between them?
Does anyone have any news on when the extended life SLIM battery will be released, either by SEIDIO or MUGEN POWER? I'd like more battery life but not that huge back.

Well im bored in my class. So i guess, ill write up this review.
First off, I purchased andida battery off ebay, and is a very well known, i believe korean battery maker. It took two weeks from Hong Kong for me to receive the battery. Second, i did proper break-in for the battery, about 5-6full charge & discharges. The OEM battery barely lasted the entire day for me, i disconnect from the charger at 9 A.M., and by 8:30, im at 1%!! With the new battery, the same goes, but by 8:30, im at 15%, and will die by about 10ish. I have the phone set for push email, and the bulk of my email comes in about between 10am & 2pm. The Sense updates are set to 4 hour updates & im constantly connected to 3G. The phone never sees a charger in between 9AM & 10pm. Hopefully this sheds some light about this battery.

I'm using the 2600mah Mugen extended battery and I gotta say its a huge improvement. I work 10 hour shifts and I use to leave work with only about 30-20% left and now I'm at 65-70% at the end of shift. I use it as a router a couple times a day, listen to a couple songs, and look stuff up online. I was real timid about using my phone at all cuz it would kill my battery, but now I have no problems with heavy usage. It does take a couple charges to really unlock the batteries full capacity.

Ordered the same battery. Have had it about a week and a half, and I'm only by my third charge. The only complaints I have so far are the 4-5 12 hour charges that the instructions say you should do initially (thankfully I only have 2 more charges to go); and the battery cover included is flimsy. It pops off with the slightest touch. Might be just a defect on mine, but maybe others can confirm this. Good thing I had another cover that stays on.

"Powerskin" for HD7

Today my local T-mobile store has in stock a Powerskin for the HD7. It is a silicone skin with A 1500 mAh battery built in. This brings your total mAh to about 2750 mAh. Until now the only add-on battery unit this company made was for the I-phone. I like it! It adds plenty of juice to your HD7 without making the phone into a doorstop. You can put it on and just leave it on all-the-time, or just stick it on when your battery gets low then remove it when your battery is recharged.
I tried one of these and returned it. The phone feels loose in the skin and the connector feels very delicate. It also turns the phone into a brick.
I really do appreciate that this thing is available but I'd think I'd rather just carry around a second standard battery.

Nope it stops at 30% lol. If there isn't anything you need, you can throw in 2 of the $4 neck straps and you will get 30% off of $58 making the skin $40.
I bought the Powerskin during the promo; got 20% off the $49.99 price. Overall, the quality is good, it adds a level of protection to the phone and gives it a little more to hold on to; yes, it add to the heft of the phone, but that's not a prob for me. I took it one step further and took a belt clip piece and using Permatex Black, stuck it on the back of the Powerskin so that I can now carry the phone in the Powerskin on my belt. Works fine, and the extra battery keeps me going all day without worry.
A highly recommended accessory IMHO
got one myself
just got myself one too
it adds a little bulk, but not enough to make me feel that it bothers me, sure maybe the fact that the phone naked feels all like i could break the glass... but i had a hard case on it anyway and was good, but this is pretty much the same thing but with a battery that charges your phone so i like it, and it doesn't slip that easily allthough i don't know about putting it in my pocket now.. maybe it might be harder since it doesn't slide that easy. but right now just charging the battery
will see how it works out and see if the battery now last me a good long day with really heavy usage
it did before but i was worried and would last most of the day but i never wanted to run out either.
whats the brand of the silicone?do they have international post.
i bought this thing.
its just a charger....like the other "powerbanks"
it does not work like th emilli or morphoie juice pack
So it about doubles your battery life? Seems like a good investment for the long run.

it doe snot actually double yr battery life
on standby it runs 8 hours on the powerskin and then switches to internal battery
on heavy suage , it runs 2 hours max with heavy 3G web browsing
A HOLSTER For the HD7 w/ PowerSkin On DOES Exist!!
Just arrived in today's mail from an eBay purchase.
Just search for anywhere and pick up a holster (I prefer horizontal) for the Garmin GPSMAP 78sc. Not a super-perfect fit, but does the job very well!!

I bought one... 3 months old and it is dead... charges with the first LED on the powerskin flashing, then suddenly goes to all 4 on like it's fully charged (even after sitting all night). Plug it into the phone and nothing... Took it back to t-mobile and they said to contact the manufacturer even though they sold it...
Just bought one, very satisfied.
One unexpected benefit, would be true of all "second battery" arrangements like this is that the phone performs better (network, browsing, video, etc.) when juice is coming from the external battery (returns to normal performance when external battery is drained). This is because the phone thinks that it's plugged in while using the external battery and therefore disables the more aggressive power saving options for network, Wifi, etc.
Also likely why doubling the battery capacity in this fashion(using a second external battery) doesn't actually double the battery life, instead giving you somewhat less than double life.
What if u turn off the powerskin till the phone battery drains then turn on the powerskin. How is the battery life

Any new feedbacks
I checked on amazon and read the reviews of the powerskin
http://www.amazon.com/PowerSkin-Pro.../177-9847782-3454918?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
They arent exactly grt.. instead many arent!! Could any user give a final verdict on their usage, and if the reviews on Amazon should really be taken into account?

Upgrading the internal battery

I'm curious if anyone on here has tried opening their phone up to swap the battery with an upgraded mAh cell? There are 4,220mAh upgrade batteries all over eBay and I'm really about to pull the trigger on one of them. If it fits and works properly, that is a pretty substantial upgrade in screen on time daily and the difference between me having to charge one to two times in the middle of the day versus being able to go the whole day on the initial charge.

Just cause the listing and label on the battery says a capacity doesn't mean that's true. I wouldn't risk putting in a 3rd party battery that costs $20 (for example) into a $600+ phone

Well I mean that's a given with anything you buy on the internet without seeing it first. As for the price of it, a genuine OEM Pixel 4 battery is $25-$30 so I'm not put off by the $10 difference in price. I also am not going to be relying on the battery if I try it, as in if it turns out to be a dud I would just immediately swap back in the OEM battery and take the little $20 hit but I think its Worth trying with the current risk to benefit comparison and if it ends up being truthful, even if it's not 4220mAh but more than the OEM 3700mAh it would be a win in my book for the price. I have an inline USB meter I can throw between the charger and phone to measure how many milliamp hours the battery actually took.
If you need to upgrade battery to get more screen time each day then you're using your phone too much lol

After my experiences with purchasing piss poor quality aftermarket batteries off Ebay and elsewhere (N6P), I would not recommend it. For the same price you can buy a PD power bank that will fast charge your device anywhere you don't have a charger handy. That and you won't break the back glass. Of course, it would be a totally different story if your battery has somehow degraded tremendously and is now defective. I'd be curious to know what your current battery capacity is using Accubattery. When I bought my P4XL, it was 103%. 6 months later it was 98%. If your battery capacity is still 90-95% I would look at a decent PD power bank and not crack the case open. Even if you pay someone to do the work and get a warranty, your phone will never be the same. Best of luck. :good:
I would think that a battery that's 500mah bigger might not be able to fit in the phone... Chances are that the battery will just be a low quality replacement.

According to accubattery I currently have 12 hours and 25 minutes of screen on time. I dont know about anyone else but that is really good in my book and more than enough. My battery is reading 103% capacity.
I never fast charge my phone unless I forget to charge it overnight and I am leaving the house soon then I throw it on the original charger. And I almost never charge past 80%. I actually use a device called chargie that slow charges my phone overnight. It completely shuts down the charger at 80 allows the phone to discharge to 76 and kicks back on and goes back to 80. My battery only goes up about 10 degrees F while charging. And I have it set to shut off the charger if my battery reaches 110 degrees F. I really plan on keeping this phone for at least 3 years (since I have a family and I have to be a big boy and put food on the table now) No more getting the newest phone for me every year.

Well, considering my phone is used for all traditional purposes (YouTube, social media, email, web browsing) along with the fact that I run my business from my phone, you wouldn't be wrong, but it is essential and serves it's purpose. Any extra sot I can get is a huge plus for me.

Yeah I feel what you're saying, the one reason I haven't already dove right in and tried is the splitting the case open. I have don't it once before on a P4, my last one had some issues and I was able to open it up before sending it back to Google to be RMA'd.
I do in fact have a 10,000mAh PD power bank, I bought it within the first week of upgrading from my P2 to my P4. It works fine and is a great solution but obviously being able to fix the root problem would be better if possible. The power bank is along the lines of a bandaid for the problem but seems to be my only logical choice for now.

12 hours screen on time? What alternate plane of existence do you get that kind of SOT with a P4XL??

I just opened up mine the other day to replace the rear glass ( had a crack in the corner). Was pretty easy with the guitar pick looking spudger. I did not need any heat to open it. Figured while I was in there might as well replace the battery with a fresh one. Both were purchased from ifixit. The swap out went fairly quick, I just took my time to scrape all the sealant from the edges of the phone for the back glass to have a good seal. Haven't dunked it yet to test if its still waterproof.

No I actually never ended up pulling the trigger on it. To be honest, I'm still really interested in the idea. The only slight bit of anxiety it gives me is with breaking the factory adhesive on the rear panel. Still, I will try it soon. I hate having to dedicate a pocket to my power bank anytime I'm out for more than a couple of hours.

What adhesive did you replace the factory stuff with and where did you get it?

The 3 pull strips for the battery didn't fully come off so there was still some that I could reuse to secure the battery. The rear glass that comes from ifixit has everything (nfc,qi, camera lens gasket etc) already attached to it including the adhesive. They also sell just the adhesive strip by itself if you're just opening it up.
